Abstract
【解決手段】下りリンク高速データ伝送をサポートするために、上りリンク・チャネル品質表示チャネル(R−CQICH)を使用して、無線装置18と基地局12の間の信号パス20の信号の品質をトラッキングする。基地局12は、無線装置18から受信されるチャネル品質表示(CQI)信号を使用して、その受信信号の品質に基づいてCQI品質メトリックを生成するCQIコンポーネントを含み、また、CQI品質メトリックは、基地局12内の様々なシステム構成を調整するために、それぞれ異なる閾値と比較される。基地局12は、更新されたシステム構成を含むフィードバックを無線装置18に提供し、CQI品質メトリックを使用してシステム構成を動的に変更し、無線システム10の動作を向上させることを可能にする。

- 復号プロセスで、受信されたチャネル品質表示CQIの品質に関連する品質軟判定メトリックを生成する工程であって、前記品質軟判定メトリックは、あるフレームについて累積された消去メトリックを用いて生成される工程と、
前記品質軟判定メトリックのうちの1つを閾値品質設定と比較する工程と、
前記比較に基づいて、モード設定、上りリンク外ループ・パワー制御設定または反復係数のうちの少なくとも1つを動的に調整するかどうか判断する工程とを備える方法。 - 前記モード設定が完全モードまたは差分モード設定を備える請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記判断が前記モード設定、前記上りリンク外ループ・パワー制御設定または前記反復係数のうちの少なくとも1つを動的に調整することである場合に、無線装置に調整を送信する工程を備える請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記品質メトリック生成工程が、2つ以上のフレームの期間に渡って複数の品質メトリックを累積することによって、長期メトリックを生成する工程を備える請求項1に記載の方法。
