Abstract
【解決手段】3Gセルラー・ネットワークでは、下りリンク高速データ伝送をサポートするために、上りリンクチャネル品質表示チャネル(R−CQICH)が送信される。R−CQICHを使用して、無線装置(18)と基地局(12)の間の信号パス(20)の信号の品質をトラッキングする。基地局(12)は、無線装置(18)から受信されるチャネル品質表示(CQI)信号を使用して、その受信信号の品質に基づいてCQI品質メトリックを生成するCQIコンポーネントを得る。CQI品質メトリックは、基地局(12)内の様々なシステム構成を調整するために、それぞれ異なる閾値(149)と比較される。基地局(12)は、更新されたシステム構成を含むフィードバックを無線装置(18)に提供する。

前記品質メトリックのうちの少なくとも1つを品質設定(149)と比較する工程と、
前記比較に基づいて、CQIチャネル構成(151)を動的に調整するかどうか判断する工程とを備える方法。 - 前記CQIチャネル構成(151)が完全モードまたは差分モードのR−CQICHモード設定を備え、前記比較工程が、前記長期品質メトリックのうちの1つを前記品質設定(149)と比較する工程を備える請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記CQIチャネル構成(151)が上りリンク外ループ・パワー制御設定を備え、前記比較工程が、前記短期品質メトリックのうちの1つを前記品質設定(149)と比較する工程を備える請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記CQIチャネル構成(151)が反復係数を備え、前記比較工程が、前記長期品質メトリックのうちの1つを前記品質設定(149)と比較する工程を備える請求項1に記載の方法。
- 1つのCQIフレームについて前記復号プロセスからの複数の品質情報を累積することによって、前記短期品質メトリックを生成する工程を備える請求項1に記載の方法。
- 2つ以上のフレームの期間に渡って前記複数の品質メトリックをフィルタリングすることによって、前記長期品質メトリックを生成する工程を備える請求項1に記載の方法。
- 復号プロセスで、受信されたチャネル品質表示(CQI)の品質に関連する品質メトリックを生成する工程と、
前記品質メトリックのうちの1つを所定の品質設定(149)と比較する工程と、
前記比較に基づいて、モード設定、上りリンク外ループ・パワー制御設定または反復係数のうちの少なくとも1つを動的に調整するかどうか判断する工程とを備える方法。 - 前記モード設定が完全モードまたは差分モード設定を備える請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記判断が前記モード設定、前記上りリンク外ループ・パワー制御設定または前記反復係数のうちの少なくとも1つを動的に調整することである場合に、無線装置(18)に調整を送信する工程を備える請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記品質メトリック生成工程が、2つ以上のフレームの期間に渡って前記複数の品質メトリックを累積することによって、長期メトリックを生成する工程を備える請求項7に記載の方法。
