Description

The present invention relates to a vehicle interior member provided with a foam that is foam-molded between a base material and a skin material.

Vehicle interior members such as an instrument panel, a floor console, a console lid, and a door panel are arranged in the passenger compartment of the vehicle. The instrument panel may be configured so that the surface appearance is different between a rear portion on the passenger compartment side and a front portion on the front window side where an air outlet of the defroster is provided. For example, the instrument panel has a three-layer structure in which a foam having elasticity is disposed between a hard base material and a flexible skin material, and the rear side portion is configured. Moreover, the instrument panel has a one-layer structure in which the front side portion is composed only of a hard base material.

As shown in FIG. 10, the instrument panel 60 is molded under the condition that a preformed base material 62 and a preformed skin material 64 are set in a first molding die 78 and a second molding die 80, respectively. When the mold is closed, the foaming raw material is foamed in the foaming space 70 defined between the base material 62 and the skin material 64, so that the rear part 74 and the front part 72 are integrally formed ( For example, see Patent Document 1).

In the instrument panel 60, the hard base material 62 is exposed on the surface of the front side portion 72, so that the front side portion 72 has a surface portion composed of a skin material 64 softer than the base material 62. There is a problem of lack of soft texture. Further, in the instrument panel 60, the skin material seal portion 66 formed on the outer edge contour portion of the skin material 64 is pressed against the base material 62 by the foaming pressure of the foaming material foamed in the foaming space 70, and the front portion 72 and the rear portion 72. The boundary portion 76 of the side portion 74 is sealed. However, the seal between the skin material seal portion 66 and the base material 62 is insufficient, and a problem that the appearance is deteriorated such as the foam 68 leaking out and the boundary portion 76 undulates is pointed out. Further, it takes time and effort to remove the foam 68 that has leaked and hardened.

That is, the present invention has been proposed in order to solve these problems inherently in the prior art, and provides a vehicle interior member that has a soft texture as a whole and has a good appearance.

The entire surface from the connection site to the connection site with the first design portion 24 comes into contact with the surface.

The foam 34 is made of, for example, urethane foam having elasticity formed by foaming a foaming raw material such as urethane, and is provided by foam molding between the concave portion 16 of the base material 12 and the second skin material 28. ing. More specifically, the foam 34 includes the second design portion 30, the second seal portion 32 supported by the side portion 18 of the recess 16 via the first seal portion 26, and the foam bottom surface 20 a. The enclosed space is filled. As described above, in the instrument panel 10, the second structure portion 42 is configured by the concave portion 16 of the base material 12, the foam 34, and the second design portion 30 covering the front side of the foam 34. This is a design surface of the second structure portion 42.

As shown in FIG. 3 and FIG. 4, the first seal portion 26 of the first skin material 22 is provided with a notch 36 extending from the end of the bottom seal 26 b to the middle portion of the side seal 26 a. In the instrument panel 10, a portion where the side seal 26 a and the second seal portion 32 abut on the first design portion 24 side of the notch portion 36 is secured, and at least the second seal portion 32 is provided. A part thereof covers the notch 36. The notch 36 is provided penetrating in the thickness direction of the side seal 26a, and is formed in, for example, a triangular shape having a top disposed on the first design portion 24 side. The notch 36 is spaced apart from the end of the first seal portion 26 in a direction along the boundary 44 between the second structure portion 42 and the first structure portion 40 so as to taper toward the first design portion 24. A plurality of them are provided.

Next, the manufacturing method of the instrument panel 10 of an Example is demonstrated. The base material 12 is molded in advance from a synthetic resin such as polyethylene or polypropylene into a required shape integrally having the general portion 14 and the concave portion 16 by injection molding or the like. The first skin material 22 has a shape that matches the shape of the portion to be coated of the general portion 14 of the base material 12 and is previously molded from a synthetic resin such as an olefinic thermoplastic elastomer by powder slush molding or vacuum molding. The second skin material 28 is required to integrally include a second design portion 30 that defines a foaming space 38 between the second skin material 28 and the concave portion 16 of the base material 12 and a second seal portion 32 that contacts the first seal portion 26. The shape is previously molded from a synthetic resin such as an olefin-based thermoplastic elastomer by powder slush molding, vacuum molding, or the like. A first skin material 22 is attached to the base material 12 from the surface of the general portion 14 and the seal side surface 18a of the concave portion 16 to a part of the foam bottom portion 20a by an adhesive or the like.

As shown in FIG. 5, the base material 12 and the second skin material 28 on which the first skin material 22 is mounted are set in a first molding die 46 and a second molding die 48, respectively. At this time, the base material 12 to which the first skin material 22 is bonded is arranged so that the back side of the base material 12 matches the molding surface of the first molding die 46, and the second skin material 28 is placed on the second skin material 28. The front side is arranged so as to match the molding surface of the second mold 48. By closing the first mold 46 and the second mold 48, a foam space 38 for the foam 34 is defined between the second skin material 28 and the recess 16 of the base 12. At this time, the end of the second seal portion 32 is disposed along the bottom seal 26 b of the first seal portion 26, and the surface of the second seal portion 32 facing the first seal portion 26 side is the first seal portion 26. It arrange | positions along the joining site | part with the 1st design part 24 from the joining site | part with the bottom part seal | sticker 26b in the side part seal | sticker 26a. A foaming raw material such as polyurethane is put into the foaming space 38 and foam-molded. After the foam 34 is filled in the foaming space 38, the first molding die 46 and the second molding die 48 are opened, and the molded product is taken out. A molded instrument panel 10 is obtained.

Next, the effect | action of the instrument panel 10 of an Example is demonstrated. Since the surface is composed of the first skin material 22 and the second skin material 28 that are softer than the base material 12, the overall surface has a soft texture. Further, when the foam material is expanded in the foaming space 38 described above, foaming pressure is applied around the foaming space 38 when the foaming raw material expands. Due to this foaming pressure, the second seal portion 32 is pressed against the side seal 26 a of the first seal portion 26. Since the first seal portion 26 softer than the base material 12 has good shape followability with the second seal portion 32, the sealability between the first seal portion 26 and the second seal portion 32 can be improved. Leakage of the foam 34 from the boundary portion 44 between the first structure portion 40 and the second structure portion 42 can be prevented. Therefore, the vehicle interior member has a good appearance because the boundary portion 44 extends as set. Moreover, the removal operation | work of the foam 34 which leaked from the boundary part 44 becomes unnecessary, and can suppress manufacturing cost. Further, since the second seal portion 32 is received by the first seal portion 26 that is a part of the first skin material 22, the number of parts is not increased.

The second seal portion 32 of the embodiment is pressed from the joint portion with the bottom seal 26b to the joint portion with the first design portion 24 in the side seal 26a, and the end portion of the second seal portion 32 is the bottom portion. The structure is pressed against the seal 26b (see the arrow in FIG. 5). Therefore, in addition to the portion where the second seal portion 32 and the side seal 26a contact each other, the first seal portion 26 also at the contact portion between the end portion of the second seal portion 32 and the bottom seal 26b. Due to this flexibility, the sealing performance between the first seal portion 26 and the second seal portion 32 can be improved. Further, since the second seal portion 32 is harder than the first seal portion 26, when the foam pressure is applied to the second seal portion 32, the second seal portion 32 is difficult to bend and the second seal portion 32 is soft. 1 can be properly pressed against the seal portion 26 and has high sealing performance.

The first seal portion 26 is provided with a notch 36 extending from the end of the bottom seal 26b to the intermediate portion of the side seal 26a. For this reason, the gas in the foaming space 38 can escape to the notch 36 during foam molding, and the second design portion 30 and the second seal portion 32 are prevented from being cut out of the foam 34 due to gas accumulation in the foaming space 38. And the foam 34 can be uniformly filled between the foam bottom surfaces 20a. The cutout portion 36 of the embodiment is provided so as to taper as it goes from the bottom seal 26b side to the first design portion 24 side, so that the influence of the cutout portion 36 on the first design portion 24 is suppressed. It has become.

The surface side of the first skin material 22 and the surface side of the second skin material 28 of the embodiment are respectively subjected to different embossing. As described above, in the instrument panel 10 of the embodiment, the first skin material 22 and the second skin material 28 have different surface appearances and have a softer texture than the base material 12 as a whole. Here, different surface appearances refer to differences in color, texture, texture, and the like.

(Example of change)
The present invention is not limited to the configuration of the embodiment described above, and can be modified as follows.
(1) In the examples, a single-layer first skin material was used, but a first skin material having a multilayer structure in which the base material side of the first skin material is formed of an elastic foam layer may be used. For example, it is possible to adopt a structure in which the front side of the first skin material is constituted by an outer skin layer having a higher density than the foam layer, and the outer skin layer is lined with a foam layer made of soft urethane foam or the like. Moreover, a part of the base material side in the first skin material may be configured by a foam layer, and for example, only the base material side in the first seal portion may be configured by a foam layer. Thus, since the base material side of the 1st skin material is comprised by the foaming layer which has elasticity, the texture of the part covered with the 1st skin material can be further softened. Moreover, since the elasticity of the 1st seal part which receives a 2nd seal part increases, a sealing performance can be improved more.
(2) In the embodiment, a substrate formed in a step shape including a general part and a concave part formed so as to be recessed from the general part to the back side is adopted. The base material in which the step was formed may be sufficient, and the base material of the shape where the recessed part was enclosed by the general part may be sufficient.
(3) In the embodiment, the end portion of the first seal portion extends to the bottom surface of the recess, but the first seal portion 26 covers at least a part of the side surface 26a of the recess 16 as shown in FIG. It only has to be.
(4) Although it is preferable to set the second skin material harder than the first skin material as in the embodiment, the first skin material may be softer than the first skin material or the same hardness. Since the seal part is softer than the base material, the sealing performance can be improved as compared with the case of sealing to the base material.
(5) In the embodiment, the shape of the notch is a triangle, but the configuration allows the gas in the foaming space to escape to the notch, and the second seal to contact the first seal and seal the foam. For example, a slit may be used.
(6) In the embodiment, the first seal portion extending from the side surface of the concave portion to the bottom surface of the concave portion in the base material is provided with the notch portion, but if the notch portion is provided from the end portion of the first seal portion. As shown in FIG. 7, the end of the first seal portion 26 may face the side surface 18 a of the recess 16, and the notch 36 may be provided at the end of the first seal portion 26.
(7) The notch can be omitted.
(8) In the embodiment, the instrument panel divided into two parts having different surface appearances is adopted, but a plurality of parts having different surface appearances may be provided, for example, three parts having different surface appearances are provided. It may be.
(9) In the embodiment, the instrument panel is adopted as the vehicle interior member, but any vehicle interior member in which a plurality of different parts are integrally formed may be used, for example, a floor console, a console lid, a door panel, or the like.
