Abstract
Description
Claims (26)
- 近位端部及び遠位端部と前記端部間に延びる中心軸線とを有する閉塞材料を含み、前記閉塞材料が、互いに折り重なった少なくとも3つの反転した重なり合う層を含む予備設定された重なり合う構成を有し、前記少なくとも3つの反転した重なり合う層が、約45度以下の範囲で前記中心軸線と整合され、カテーテル内で重なり合わない構成で分離して配置され、前記カテーテルから出て配置されると前記予備設定された重なり合う構成に戻るように構成されている、閉塞デバイス。
- 前記閉塞材料が連続する織物層を含む、請求項1に記載された閉塞デバイス。
- 前記織物が形状記憶合金の編んだ撚り線を含み、各金属撚り線が1対の自由端部を有する、請求項2に記載された閉塞デバイス。
- 前記編んだ金属撚り線それぞれの自由端部を固定するように構成された少なくとも1つの締付け部をさらに含む、請求項3に記載された閉塞デバイス。
- 前記予備設定された重なり合う構成では、前記少なくとも1つの締付け部が、前記近位端部よりも遠位に位置し、又は前記遠位端部よりも近位に位置する、請求項4に記載された閉塞デバイス。
- 前記予備設定された重なり合う構成では、前記少なくとも1つの締付け部が、前記近位端部よりも近位に位置し、又は前記遠位端部よりも遠位に位置する、請求項4に記載された閉塞デバイス。
- 1対の締付け部をさらに含み、各締付け部が、前記編んだ金属撚り線のそれぞれの自由端部を固定するように構成される、請求項4に記載された閉塞デバイス。
- 前記予備設定された重なり合う構成では、前記閉塞材料が、前記近位端部及び遠位端部で球根状部分を含む、請求項1に記載された閉塞デバイス。
- 前記予備設定された重なり合う構成では、前記閉塞材料が、前記中心軸線に対して垂直に延びる複数の層を含む、請求項1に記載された閉塞デバイス。
- 前記予備設定された重なり合う構成では、前記閉塞材料が、前記近位端部および遠位端部のそれぞれに円板部材を含み、各円板部材が、前記中心軸線に対して垂直に向けられる、請求項1に記載された閉塞デバイス。
- 前記閉塞材料は、前記少なくとも3つの反転した重なり合う層が分離して前記重なり合わない構成になるように軸線方向に伸びるように構成される、請求項1に記載された閉塞デバイス。
- 前記重なり合う構成では、前記閉塞材料が内面及び外面を含み、前記閉塞材料の少なくとも一部分は、前記外面の一部分が前記外面の別の部分に重なるように、折り畳まれるように構成される、請求項1に記載された閉塞デバイス。
- 少なくとも1つの重なり合う層が、別の重なり合う層の少なくとも50%に重なり合う、請求項1に記載された閉塞デバイス。
- 前記少なくとも3つの反転した重なり合う層の少なくとも1対が、相互に約180度よりも大きく折り畳まれるように構成される、請求項1に記載された閉塞デバイス。
- 前記少なくとも3つの反転した重なり合う層の少なくとも1対が、相互に約180度以下で折り畳まれるように構成される、請求項1に記載された閉塞デバイス。
- 前記予備設定された重なり合う構成では、前記少なくとも3つの反転した重なり合う層の少なくとも1対が、互いに前記中心軸線に対して実質的に平行になるように構成された表面部分を含む、請求項1に記載された閉塞デバイス。
- 前記閉塞材料が、前記重なり合わない構成でのカテーテル内での搬送のために約11フレンチ未満の外径に制約されるように構成される、請求項1に記載された閉塞デバイス。
- 前記予備設定された重なり合う構成では、前記閉塞材料が、前記中心軸線に対して平行に延びる円筒形の外面を含む、請求項1に記載された閉塞デバイス。
- 前記少なくとも3つの層のうちの1つが、前記中心軸線に対して前記円筒形の外面の内側に斜めに延びる表面を含む、請求項18に記載された閉塞デバイス。
- 前記斜めの表面が平面である、請求項19に記載された閉塞デバイス。
- 前記斜めの表面が曲面である、請求項19に記載された閉塞デバイス。
- 前記斜めの表面の一部分が、前記円筒形の外面に当接するように構成される、請求項19に記載された閉塞デバイス。
- 前記予備設定された重なり合う構成では、前記閉塞材料が、前記中心軸線に対して垂直に延びる軸線の周りで対称である、請求項1に記載された閉塞デバイス。
- 前記予備設定された重なり合う構成では、前記閉塞材料が、前記中心軸線の周りで対称である、請求項1に記載された閉塞デバイス。
- 中心軸線及び初期長さを有する管状部材に編んだ閉塞材料を提供するステップと、
少なくとも3つの重なり合う層を有する重なり合う構成及び前記初期長さより小さい長さを有するように前記管状部材を操作するステップであって、前記少なくとも3つの反転した重なり合う層が、約45度以下の範囲内で前記中心軸線と整合される、操作するステップと、
マンドレル上及び/又は金型内に前記閉塞材料を位置決めするステップと、
前記少なくとも3つの反転した重なり合う層が、カテーテル内に重なり合わない構成で分離して配置されるように、及び前記カテーテルから配備されると前記予備設定された重なり合う構成に戻るように構成されるように、前記重なり合う構成で前記閉塞材料を熱硬化させるステップと
を含む、閉塞デバイスを製作する方法。 - 前記管状部材の少なくとも1つの自由端部を締め付けるステップをさらに含む、請求項31に記載された閉塞デバイスを製作する方法。
