Abstract
Description
本発明は、静電処理によって粒子(particles)または液滴(droplets)を形成するための方法に関する。本発明はさらに、静電的粒子形成のための媒体(medium)、紙または板紙を形成するための方法、紙または板紙、フィルターを形成するための方法、フィルターおよび媒体から泡(foam)を除去または排除するための方法に関する。
静電紡糸(electrospinning)および静電噴霧(electrospraying)等の静電的技術は、多くの分野においてサブミクロン粒子の生成のために用いられる。静電噴霧において、液体の表面に高電圧の電場を印加して微細な帯電液滴の放出を引き起こす。静電紡糸技術は静電噴霧技術と類似している。しかし静電紡糸において、粘弾性力によって液滴の代わりに液体から繊維が形成される。
本発明の1つの目的は、従来技術の問題を含まない粒子または液滴を形成するための方法を提供することである。
本発明は、静電的手段による少なくとも1つの物質の粒子または液滴の形成に関し、粒子または液滴に形成される物質を含む媒体は泡の形態である。前記媒体はまた、発泡媒体と称されることもある。形成される粒子はミクロ、ナノ、および/またはミリメートルサイズであってよい。本発明によれば、粒子または液滴の形成は、泡の表面からおよび/または泡に組み込まれたバブルの表面から起こる。好ましい実施形態において、本発明による方法によって形成された粒子または液滴はいかなる気体も含まない。したがって、泡は、泡としてではなく、粒子または液滴としてコレクター上に移送または堆積させる。
本発明を以下のいくつかの例を参照してさらに説明する。本発明はここに開示される特定のプロセスステップおよび材料に限定されないことを理解されたい。
粒子に形成される化合物として二酸化チタン、ポリビニルアルコール、ポリエチレンオキシドの混合物(TiO2+PVA+PEO);プロセス助剤としてドデシル硫酸ナトリウム(SDS)およびキャリアとして水を含む中間組成物を調製した。500gのバッチ中の成分の濃度は、PVA6.4%、PEO1.0%、SDS3滴およびバランス量の水であった。この中間組成物をノズル(複数形)から静電紡糸した(ノズル距離は約50mm、電圧は約40kV)。粒子を240g/m2の板紙上に堆積させた。
比較例1で用いたのと同じ中間組成物を、混合機を用いて機械的に発泡させた。空気を液相に組み込むにつれて、その体積は2倍を超えて増加した。したがって、形成された発泡媒体は気体を全媒体の約50体積%〜60体積%の量で含んでいた。この発泡媒体を比較例1で用いたノズルから静電紡糸した(距離は約50mm、電圧は約40kV)。両方の実験で被覆重量は同等に保った。形成された粒子を240g/m2の板紙上に堆積させた。
例2
粒子に形成される化合物として二酸化チタン、ポリビニルアルコール、ポリエチレンオキシドの混合物(TiO2+PVA+PEO);プロセス助剤としてドデシル硫酸ナトリウム(SDS)およびキャリアとして水を含む中間組成物を調製した。500gのバッチ中の成分の濃度は、PVA6.4%、PEO1.0%、SDS3滴およびバランス量の水であった。この中間組成物を混合物を用いて機械的に発泡させた。発泡媒体9gを10cm×10cmの面積で金属プレート上にスプレッドし、泡表面から静電紡糸した(距離は約50mm、電圧は約40kV)。再び、形成された粒子を板紙(240g/m2)の基材上に堆積させた。
Claims (32)
- 少なくとも1つの物質の粒子または液滴を形成するための方法であって;
i)前記物質を含む発泡媒体を提供するステップ、および
ii)静電処理によって前記物質の粒子または液滴を形成するステップ
を含む方法。 - ステップii)における粒子または液滴の形成が、前記発泡媒体を静電紡糸または静電噴霧することによって行なわれる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- ステップi)における発泡媒体が、前記物質を含む液体中または固体中に気体を分散させることによって提供される、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- ステップi)における発泡媒体が、気体を液体中または固体中に分散させてそれにより液体中の気体または固体中の気体の分散体を形成し、その後に前記少なくとも1つの物質を前記分散体の中に組み込むことによって提供される、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記気体が前記液体中または前記固体中に全発泡媒体の少なくとも5体積%の量で分散される、請求項3または4に記載の方法。
- 前記気体が前記液体中または前記固体中に全発泡媒体の10〜99体積%の間の量で、より好ましくは50〜99体積%の量で、最も好ましくは75〜99体積%の量で分散される、請求項3または4に記載の方法。
- 前記液体が、前記物質を溶媒中に分散および/または溶解することによって提供される、請求項3から6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記液体が前記物質の溶融物である、請求項3から6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記気体が、空気、二酸化炭素(CO2)、水蒸気(H2O)、窒素ガス(N2)、水素ガス(H2)および/またはこれら気体の任意の混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- ステップii)における粒子または液滴の形成が、発泡媒体の自由表面から行なわれる、請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 形成された粒子または液滴を基材上に堆積させるステップをさらに含む、請求項1から10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記基材が紙または板紙である、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 静電処理によって前記物質の粒子または液滴を形成するステップii)が、交流(AC)電場の存在下で実施される、請求項1から12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 静電的粒子または液滴形成のための媒体であって、粒子または液滴に形成される少なくとも1つの物質を含み、泡の形態である媒体。
- 液体中に分散した気体または固体中に分散した気体を含む、請求項14に記載の媒体。
- 液体中または固体中に全媒体の少なくとも5体積%の量で分散した気体を含む、請求項15に記載の媒体。
- 液体中または固体中に全媒体の10〜99体積%の間の量で、より好ましくは50〜99体積%の量で、最も好ましくは75〜99体積%の量で分散した気体を含む、請求項16に記載の媒体。
- 前記液体がキャリア中の前記物質の分散体または溶液である、請求項15から17のいずれか一項に記載の媒体。
- 前記液体が前記物質の溶融物である、請求項15から18のいずれか一項に記載の媒体。
- 前記気体が、空気、二酸化炭素(CO2)、水蒸気(H2O)、窒素ガス(N2)、水素ガス(H2)およびこれら気体の任意の混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項15から19のいずれか一項に記載の媒体。
- 少なくとも1つの泡安定剤をさらに含む、請求項14から20のいずれか一項に記載の媒体。
- 微細な粒子または液滴をさらに含む、請求項14から21のいずれか一項に記載の媒体。
- i)紙または板紙のウェブを形成するステップ、
ii)前記紙または板紙のウェブ上に堆積させる少なくとも1つの物質を含む発泡媒体を提供するステップ、
iii)少なくとも部分的に静電処理によって前記物質の粒子または液滴を形成するステップ、
iv)前記粒子または液滴を前記紙または板紙のウェブ上に堆積させるステップ
を含む、紙または板紙を形成するための方法。 - 請求項23に記載の方法によって製造された紙または板紙、および/またはその製品。
- 基材層と静電紡糸された繊維層とを含むフィルターを製造する方法であって、発泡媒体から前記基材上に繊維を静電紡糸するステップを含む方法。
- 請求項25に記載の方法によって製造されたフィルター。
- 媒体から泡を除去または排除するための方法であって、前記媒体に静電場をかけるステップを含む方法。
- 電位差が前記媒体とコレクターとの間に印加され、それにより前記媒体から粒子または液滴が形成されてコレクターに移送される、請求項27に記載の方法。
- 前記媒体が泡を含む繊維懸濁液である、請求項27または28に記載の方法。
- 前記媒体が製紙機械からの流出水であって、前記流出水が泡を含む、請求項27から29のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記媒体がバブルを形成するために空気が注入されたリサイクルパルプスラリーである、請求項27から29のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
