Abstract
【解決手段】本発明の吸収性物品は、実質的に非水溶性で水膨潤性の非再生カルボキシアルキルセルロース繊維を含む吸収性複合材料を備えている。前記繊維は、セルロース繊維の表面の外観的特徴を持つ表面と、複数の第1の繊維内多価金属イオン架橋と、エーテル架橋またはエステル架橋から選択される複数の第2の繊維内架橋とを有する。さらに、前記吸収性複合材料は、該複合材料の全体に渡ってか、または該複合材料の表面のみに、該複合材料の繊維間の繊維間結合を形成するための処理がほどこされている。

Description
1.ADSの固形分を決定する。
2.0.0001gを最小単位としてティーバッグの重量を予め測定し、記録する。
3.0.2025g±0.0025gの試験材料(高吸水材)の重量を正確に測定し、記録して、予め重量を測定したティーバッグ(空気乾燥(AD)バッグ重量)に入れる。(ADS重量+ADバッグ重量=全乾燥重量)。
4.ティーバッグの端部を折り返してバッグを閉じる。
5.容器(深さが少なくとも3インチ(7.6cm))の少なくとも2インチ(5.1cm)を1%食塩水で満たす。
6.ティーバッグ(試験サンプル入り)を平らに保持し、振ってバッグ全体に試験材料を均一に分布させる。
7.食塩水の表面上にティーバッグを置き、タイマーを始動させる。
8.バッグを一定時間(例えば30分間)浸漬させる。
9.バッグから内容物がこぼれないように注意深くティーバッグを取り出し、ドリップラックのクリップから3分間吊す。
10.各バッグを注意深く取り出し、重量を測定し、記録する(ドリップ重量)。

1.小型水準器を用いて、ろ過器装置を水平にする。
2.フリットガラス製ろ板と瓶内の食塩水レベルが同じ高さになるようにろ過器の高さまたは瓶内の液面を調整する。
3.管の欠陥、あるいは管内またはフリットガラス製ろ板下の気泡がないことを確かめる。
4.ろ過器にろ紙を配置し、ろ紙の上にステンレス鋼製の重りを置く。
5.ろ紙が完全に湿って、適用した重りと平衡に達するまでの間、5〜10分間待つ。
6.零バランス。
7.ろ紙が平衡に達するのを待つ間、底部に両面テープを貼ったプランジャを作製する。
8.プランジャ(テープを貼ったもの)を別々の秤に載せて目盛りを零に合わせる。
9.材料の単分子層が両面テープによって底部に貼り付けられるようにプランジャを乾燥試験材料の中に入れる。
10.ゼロ目盛りに合わせた秤の上でプランジャ及び試験材料の重量を測定し、乾燥試験材料の重量(乾燥材料重量0.15g±0.05g)を記録する。
11.ろ紙は、ここに至っては平衡状態にあるはずであり、目盛りを零に合わせる。
12.バランス記録ソフトウェアを始動させる。
13.重りを取り除き、プランジャ及び試験材料をろ過器アセンブリに入れる。
14.重りをプランジャアセンブリ上に置く。
15.試験が終わるまで待つ(30または60分間)。
16.バランス記録ソフトウェアを停止させる。

- 吸収性物品であって、
セルロース繊維の表面の外観的特徴を持つ表面と、複数の第1の繊維内多価金属イオン架橋と、エーテル架橋またはエステル架橋から選択される複数の第2の繊維内架橋とを有する実質的に非水溶性で水膨潤性の非再生カルボキシアルキルセルロース繊維を含み、かつ繊維間結合を形成するための処理がほどこされた吸収性複合材料を備えることを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項1に記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記繊維間結合が、前記吸収性複合材料の表面のみに存在することを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項1に記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記繊維間結合が、液体侵襲時にin situで形成されることを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項1に記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記処理が、アルコール/水の溶液による処理またはカチオン性ポリマー/アルコール/水の溶液による処理から選択されることを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項4に記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記アルコールが、エタノールまたはイソプロパノールから選択されることを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項4に記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記アルコールが、前記溶液中に約50重量%ないし70重量%の量で存在することを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項1に記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記吸収性複合材料が、前記処理の前に、約88重量%ないし92重量%固形分に乾燥させられることを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項1に記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記吸収性複合材料が、90重量%ないし100重量%の実質的に非水溶性で水膨潤性の非再生カルボキシアルキルセルロース繊維を含むことを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項1に記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記第1の繊維内多価金属イオン架橋が、アルミニウム、ホウ素、ビスマス、セリウム、クロム、チタン、ジルコニウム及びそれらの混合物から選択される1若しくは複数の金属イオンによる架橋を含むことを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項1に記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記第2の繊維内架橋が、1,3−ジクロロ−2−プロパノールであることを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 請求項1に記載の吸収性物品であって、
前記吸収性複合材料が、垂直吸上げ試験によって測定された、少なくとも約12.7cm(5インチ)の垂直吸上げ距離を示すことを特徴とする吸収性物品。
