Abstract

Claims (15)
- 透析カテーテルにおいて、
外壁と、
第1直径を持つ第1部分と、
前記第1直径よりも小さい第2直径を持つ細長い遠位部分と、
前記第1部分と前記遠位部分との間の移行領域と
血液を送出するように形成された長さ方向に延びる実質的に円形の第1静脈内腔であって、前記静脈内腔領域は前記カテーテルの長さ方向中央軸線の中心からずらして位置決めされた静脈内腔を有し、前記静脈内腔は、前記カテーテルの最遠位端の遠位開口部で終端する、第1静脈内腔と、
血液を患者から引き出すように形成された第1及び第2の独立した長さ方向に延びる動脈内腔とを含み、
前記動脈内腔の各々は、前記静脈内腔の前記遠位開口部の近位側に間隔が隔てられた前記移行領域の開口部で終端し、
前記静脈内腔は、第1領域、第2領域、及び前記第1領域と前記第2領域との間の第3領域を有し、
前記静脈内腔の前記第1及び第2の領域は、各々、前記カテーテルの前記外壁から第1距離に位置決めされており、

前記第2動脈内腔は第2動脈内腔領域にあり、第1領域、第2領域、及び前記第2動脈内腔の前記第1領域と前記第2領域との間の第3領域を有し、
前記第2動脈内腔の前記第1及び第2の領域は、各々、前記カテーテルの前記外壁から第5距離に位置決めされており、
前記第2動脈内腔の前記第3領域は、前記カテーテルの前記外壁から第6距離に位置決めされており、
前記第6距離は前記第5距離よりも小さく、厚さが、前記第2動脈内腔の前記第3領域から前記第2動脈内腔の前記第1領域に向かって、及び前記第2動脈内腔の前記第3領域から前記第2動脈内腔の前記第2領域に向かって徐々に増大するアーチ状第3壁部分を前記第2動脈内腔領域に形成する、カテーテル。 - 請求項1乃至4のうちのいずれか一項に記載のカテーテルにおいて、更に、
挿入を容易にするために前記カテーテルの剛性を一時的に高めるため、前記カテーテル内に取り外し自在に位置決めできる補剛部材を含む、カテーテル。 - 請求項5に記載のカテーテルにおいて、
前記補剛部材は、前記静脈内腔に取り外し自在に受け入れられ、ガイドワイヤを通して受け入れる形状の内腔が形成されている、カテーテル。 - 請求項5又は6に記載のカテーテルにおいて、
前記補剛部材は、前記カテーテルの最遠位端から遠位方向に延びている、カテーテル。 - 患者の身体への血液の送出及び患者の身体からの血液の取り出しを行うための透析カテーテルにおいて、
中間部分の横断面に第1象限、第2象限、第3象限、及び第4象限を形成する、第1及び第2の動脈内腔及び静脈内腔を持つカテーテル本体を含み、
前記静脈内腔は、第3象限及び第4象限の一部に位置決めされ、第1領域が四つの象限の交差部と隣接しており、第2領域が前記第1領域とは反対側にあり、
前記静脈内腔の前記第2領域での前記カテーテルの壁厚は第1寸法を有し、厚さが、第3象限に向かう方向で増大し、第4象限に向かう方向で増大し、アーチ状第1壁部分を形成し、
