Abstract
【解決手段】液晶表示装置は、バックライトを構成するための導光板16と、導光板16の第1側面22に対向するように配置された複数の第1発光ダイオード26及び第1コネクタ28と、複数の第1発光ダイオード26及び第1コネクタ28が搭載された第1基板30と、導光板16の第1側面22とは反対側の第2側面24に対向するように配置された複数の第2発光ダイオード34及び第2コネクタ36と、複数の第2発光ダイオード34及び第2コネクタ36が搭載された第2基板38と、を有し、第1コネクタ28は、いずれかの第2発光ダイオード34と対向するように配置され、第2コネクタ36は、いずれかの第1発光ダイオード26と対向するように配置され、第1コネクタ28と第2コネクタ36とは対向しない位置に配置されている。

Claims (5)
- 液晶表示パネルと、
エッジライト方式のバックライトを構成するための導光板と、
前記導光板の第1側面に対向するように配置された複数の第1発光ダイオードと、
前記導光板の第1側面に対向するように配置されて前記複数の第1発光ダイオードと電気的に接続する第1コネクタと、
前記複数の第1発光ダイオード及び前記第1コネクタが搭載された第1基板と、
前記導光板の前記第1側面とは反対側の第2側面に対向するように配置された複数の第2発光ダイオードと、
前記導光板の前記第2側面に対向するように配置されて前記複数の第2発光ダイオードと電気的に接続する第2コネクタと、
前記複数の第2発光ダイオード及び前記第2コネクタが搭載された第2基板と、
を有し、
前記第1コネクタは、いずれかの前記第2発光ダイオードと対向するように配置され、
前記第2コネクタは、いずれかの前記第1発光ダイオードと対向するように配置され、
前記第1コネクタと前記第2コネクタとは対向しない位置に配置されていることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項1に記載された液晶表示装置において、
前記複数の第1発光ダイオードは、前記第1側面の長さ方向に一列で並ぶ前記第1発光ダイオードと、前記第1コネクタの隣で前記導光板の厚み方向に複数段で並ぶ前記第1発光ダイオードと、を含み、
前記複数の第2発光ダイオードは、前記第2側面の長さ方向に一列で並ぶ前記第2発光ダイオードと、前記第2コネクタの隣で前記導光板の厚み方向に複数段で並ぶ前記第2発光ダイオードと、を含むことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項1又は2に記載された液晶表示装置において、
前記第1コネクタよりも前記第1側面の両端部側のそれぞれに、少なくとも1つの前記第1発光ダイオードが配置され、
前記第2コネクタよりも前記第2側面の両端部側のそれぞれに、少なくとも1つの前記第2発光ダイオードが配置されていることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載された液晶表示装置において、
前記第1基板は、前記第1側面の長さ方向の途中で、複数の第1分割基板に分割され、
前記第2基板は、前記第2側面の長さ方向の途中で、複数の第2分割基板に分割されていることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項4に記載された液晶表示装置において、
一対の前記第1分割基板のそれぞれに前記第1コネクタが搭載され、
一方の前記第1分割基板に搭載された前記第1コネクタと、他方の前記第1分割基板に搭載された前記第1コネクタとの間に、少なくとも1つの前記第1発光ダイオードが配置され、
一対の前記第2分割基板のそれぞれに前記第2コネクタが搭載され、
一方の前記第2分割基板に搭載された前記第2コネクタと、他方の前記第2分割基板に搭載された前記第2コネクタとの間に、少なくとも1つの前記第2発光ダイオードが配置されていることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
