Abstract
【解決手段】傾斜ブラッグ回折格子SBGの書込みに適した光導波路は、コアおよびクラッドを画定する屈折率プロファイルと、特定の感光度プロファイルとを有している。この感光度プロファイルW(r)は、所与のSBG書込み角度θに対して、導波路中の逆伝搬としての基本モードの基本モード自身への結合K(θ)が実質的にゼロであり、かつ、角度θに対するその導関数K’(θ)も同じく実質的にゼロに等しいプロファイルである。角度を関数とした基本モードのゼロ導関数および同じくゼロ結合は、回折格子書込み角度を中心とした幅が拡大した反射ポケットが保証されることを意味している。

Claims (9)
- 所与の傾斜角度(θ)での傾斜ブラッグ回折格子(SBG)の書込みに適した感光性光導波路であって、コアおよびクラッドを画定している屈折率と、光導波路中への逆伝搬としての基本モードの基本モード自身への結合(K(θ))、および角度(θ)に対する前記結合の導関数(K’(θ))が、前記所与のSBG書込み角度(θ)に対して実質的にゼロに等しいような感光度プロファイルW(r)とを有し、感光度プロファイルW(r)が、少なくとも1つのステップを有し、感光度プロファイルのステップの半径方向の位置が、光導波路のコアとクラッドの間の屈折率ステップの半径方向の位置には無関係である光導波路。
- 感光度プロファイルW(r)が、光導波路のクラッド内に配置された少なくとも1つのステップを有する、請求項1に記載の光導波路。
- 感光度プロファイルW(r)が、光導波路のコア内に配置された少なくとも1つのステップを有する、請求項1または2に記載の光導波路。
- 感光度プロファイルW(r)が、1°と4.5°の間の傾斜角度(θ)での傾斜ブラッグ回折格子(SBG)の書込みに適した、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の光導波路。
- 感光度プロファイルW(r)が、光導波路中の逆伝搬としての基本モードの基本モード自身への結合(K(θ))が最小になる、傾斜ブラッグ回折格子(SBG)を書き込む所与の角度(θ)を中心とした角度幅(Δθ)が、0.3°と0.6°の間になるプロファイルである、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の光導波路。
- 請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の光導波路の一部に書き込まれた少なくとも1つの傾斜ブラッグ回折格子(SBG)を備えた光フィルタ。
- 傾斜ブラッグ回折格子(SBG)の傾斜角度が1°と4.5°の間である、請求項6に記載の光フィルタ。
- 傾斜ブラッグ回折格子(SBG)の周期(Λ)が可変である、請求項6または7に記載の光フィルタ。
- 請求項6から8のいずれか一項に記載の光フィルタの縦続からなる利得平滑化フィルタを備えた光伝送システム。
