Description
Claims (38)
- 産業プロセス内のプロセス変数を監視するプロセス制御送信機に接続するアダプタであって、
2線式プロセス制御ループと前記プロセス制御送信機とに接続し、前記プロセス制御ループで通信するよう構成される入出力(I/O)回路と、
前記2線式プロセス制御ループに接続し、無線信号を送信するよう構成される無線通信回路と、
前記2線式プロセス制御ループに接続し、前記無線通信回路に電力を供給するよう構成される電力供給回路と、
前記電力供給回路と並列接続されるバイパス回路とを備え、
前記電力供給回路と前記バイパス回路とが前記2線式プロセス制御ループに対して直列接続するよう構成されることを特徴とするアダプタ。 - 前記I/O回路が前記2線式プロセス制御ループでデジタル通信するよう構成されるデジタル信号接続部を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアダプタ。
- 前記デジタル通信がHART(登録商標)通信プロトコルに従うことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のアダプタ。
- 前記デジタル信号接続部が前記プロセス制御送信機に並列接続されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のアダプタ。
- 前記無線通信回路と通信するよう構成されるレベルシフト回路を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアダプタ。
- 前記2線式プロセス制御ループから受信した電力で前記アダプタの回路に電力供給するよう設定される複数の電圧レギュレータを含む請求項1に記載のアダプタ。
- 前記バイパス回路が、前記アダプタのループ接続部間に所定の電圧レベルを維持するよう設定され、前記2線式プロセス制御ループに接続するよう構成されるOPアンプを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアダプタ。
- 前記ループ接続部間の電圧が調整可能なことを特徴とする請求項7に記載のアダプタ。
- 前記バイパス回路に直列接続され前記2線式プロセス制御ループから充電するよう構成されるキャパシタを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアダプタ。
- 前記キャパシタの電圧を監視するよう形成される回路を含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載のアダプタ。
- 前記キャパシタに接続され、該キャパシタに蓄積される電圧よりも大きい電圧を出力するよう構成されたステップアップコンバータを含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載のアダプタ。
- 前記ステップアップ電圧レギュレータ(前記ステップアップコンバータ)の出力部に接続され、前記無線通信回路に電力を供給するよう形成されるリニア電圧レギュレータを含むことを特徴とする請求項11に記載のアダプタ。
- 前記アダプタのループ端子に接続され、該ループ端子間の電圧よりも大きい電圧を出力するよう構成されるステップアップコンバータを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアダプタ。
- 前記ステップアップレギュレータ(前記ステップアップコンバータ)の出力部に接続され、前記アダプタの回路に電力供給するよう形成されるリニア電圧レギュレータを含むことを特徴とする請求項13に記載のアダプタ。
- 前記無線通信回路の動作を制御するよう形成されるマイクロコントローラを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアダプタ。
- 前記無線通信回路に前記マイクロコントローラを接続するよう形成されたレベルシフト回路を含むことを特徴とする請求項15に記載のアダプタ。
- 前記マイクロコントローラが前記I/O回路の動作を制御することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアダプタ。
- 前記マイクロコントローラが前記I/O回路の動作を制御するにあたって変調復調装置(モデム)として機能することを特徴とする請求項17に記載のアダプタ。
- 前記マイクロコントローラをリセットするよう形成されたリセット回路を含むことを特徴とする請求項15に記載のアダプタ。
- 前記バイパス回路と直列接続し前記2線式プロセス制御ループから充電するよう形成されるキャパシタと、該キャパシタと並列接続する電圧クランプとを含み、該電圧クランプは該電圧クランプと前記キャパシタとに渡る電圧が電圧クランプレベルよりも大きい場合にはループ電流を分路するよう形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアダプタ。
- 前記プロセス制御送信機に取り付けられるよう構成されたハウジングを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアダプタ。
- 前記ハウジングが前記プロセス制御送信機のネジ式接続部に螺合接続されることを特徴とする請求項21に記載のアダプタ。
- 前記ハウジングが無線信号を通過させる無線透過領域を含むことを特徴とする請求項21に記載のアダプタ。
- 産業プロセス内のプロセス変数を監視する既存のプロセス制御送信機に無線通信機能を与える方法であって、
前記プロセス制御送信機と2線式プロセス制御ループとに電気的に接続して該2線式プロセス制御ループで通信する段階と、
前記2線式プロセス制御ループで伝達されるデータに基づいて無線信号を送信する段階と、
前記2線式プロセス制御ループから受信した電力で前記無線通信回路に電力供給する段階であって、当該電力供給する段階の回路は前記2線式プロセス制御ループに直列接続されている段階と、
前記2線式プロセス制御ループのループ電流を前記電力供給回路の周りで選択的にバイパスする段階とを備えることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記2線式プロセス制御ループでデジタル通信するよう構成されたデジタル信号接続を行う段階を含むことを特徴とする請求項24に記載の方法。
- 前記デジタル通信がHART(登録商標)通信プロトコルに従うことを特徴とする請求項25に記載の方法。
- 前記デジタル信号接続が前記プロセス制御送信機と並列で接続されることを特徴とする請求項25に記載の方法。
- 無線通信回路と通信するため信号をレベルシフトする段階を含むことを特徴とする請求項24に記載の方法。
- 前記2線式プロセス制御ループから受信した電力で回路に電力供給するよう形成された複数の電圧レギュレータを与える段階を含むことを特徴とする請求項24に記載の方法。
- 前記選択的にバイパスする段階が前記2線式プロセス制御ループに接続するループ接続部間を所定の電圧レベルに設定する段階を含むことを特徴とする請求項24に記載の方法。
- 前記ループ接続部の端子間の電圧が調整可能であることを特徴とする請求項30に記載の方法。
- 前記バイパス回路に直列接続し、前記2線式プロセス制御ループから充電するよう構成されるキャパシタを与える段階を含むことを特徴とする請求項24に記載の方法。
- 前記キャパシタの電圧を監視する段階を含むことを特徴とする請求項32に記載の方法。
- 前記キャパシタに蓄積された電圧よりも大きい出力電圧をステップアップ生成する段階を含むことを特徴とする請求項24に記載の方法。
- ループ端子間の電圧よりも大きい出力電圧を生成する段階を含むことを特徴とする請求項24に記載の方法。
- I/O回路の動作を制御するにあたり変調復調装置(モデム)として機能するマイクロコントローラを与える段階を含むことを特徴とする請求項24に記載の方法。
- バイパス回路と直列接続し前記2線式プロセス制御ループから充電するよう設定されるキャパシタと、該キャパシタと並列接続する電圧クランプを与える段階とを含み、該電圧クランプが、該電圧クランプとキャパシタとに渡る電圧が電圧クランプレベルよりも大きい場合にはループ電流を分路するよう形成されることを特徴とする請求項24に記載の方法。
- 前記プロセス制御送信機のハウジングにアダプタを接続する段階を含むことを特徴とする請求項24に記載の方法。
