Description
−接合対象の部材同士の押しつぶしを、それらの厚みに応じて固定し、そして
−一定の応力で装置を操作する。
両部材それぞれの厚みE=2.5mm
両部材それぞれの寸法:1000x300mm
接合装置の各寸法:
−攪拌突起の外径d=6mm
−内側のクラウン体の外径=12mm
−外側のクラウン体の外径=18mm
−内側のクラウン体の厚みe=0.05mm
−二つのショルダー部は、内側のクラウン体と外側のクラウン体を具備している。
両部材それぞれの厚みE=15mm
両部材それぞれの寸法:1000x300mm
接合装置の各寸法:
−攪拌突起の外径d=15mm
−内側のクラウン体の外径=23mm
−外側のクラウン体の外径=29mm
−内側のクラウン体の厚みe=0.1mm
−二つのショルダー部は内側のクラウン体と外側のクラウン体を具備している。

Claims (7)
- 部材同士を摩擦攪拌接合するための二重ショルダー部付きの摩擦攪拌接合装置(1)であり、少なくともショルダー部(3,4)の一つは、同心の二つの平らな支持面(10,11)を配する、同心の二つのディスク(8,9)すなわち、内側のディスクと外側のディスクを備えており、直径が小さい内側のディスクと直径が大きい外側のディスクは、内側のディスクが、接合装置が前進する際に接合対象の部材同士の摩擦攪拌される素材を押しつぶししやすいように、そして、外側のディスクが、外側のディスクが接合対象の部材同士に寄り掛かることで、内側のディスクが摩擦攪拌される素材の中に入り込んでいくのを制限するために、接合された接合部の両側に、内側のディスクへの入り込みに対するリミットストッパを形成するように配置されていることを特徴とする、摩擦攪拌接合装置。
- 前記内側のディスクの支持面と外側のディスクの支持面との距離(e)が、接合対象の板の厚みの0.5〜5%の間に含まれることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の摩擦攪拌接合装置。
- 前記内側のディスクが、前記攪拌突起の外径の1.2〜2倍の間に含まれる外径を有するとともに、前記外側のディスクが、攪拌突起の外径の1.5〜3.5倍の間に含まれる外径を有することを特徴とする、請求項1または請求項2に記載の摩擦攪拌接合装置。
- 前記二つのショルダー部が、同心の二つのディスクを具備していることを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれか一つに記載の摩擦攪拌接合装置。
- −接合対象の部材同士を、接合したいと思う位置に互い違いに配置し、
−接合対象の部材同士の押しつぶしを、それらの厚みに応じて固定し、そして
−一定の応力で装置を操作する
という手順からなることを特徴とする、請求項1〜4のいずれか一つに記載の摩擦攪拌接合装置を用いた部材同士の摩擦攪拌接合方法。 - 前記押しつぶしが、接合対象の部材同士の厚みの0.5〜5%の間に固定されることを特徴とする、請求項5に記載の摩擦攪拌接合方法。
- 二つのディスクの支持面にもたらされる操作応力が、20MPaを下回るものであり、内側のディスクの支持面にもたらされる操作応力は、30MPaを超えるものであることを特徴とする、請求項5また請求項6に記載の摩擦攪拌接合方法。
