Claims (25)
- 組織に近接して位置決め可能なトランスデューサであって、超音波エネルギーを放射し、且つ超音波エネルギーを受け取るように構成されたトランスデューサと、
前記トランスデューサに連結され、前記トランスデューサを位置決めするように構成された位置決め部材と、
前記トランスデューサ及び前記位置決め部材に動作可能に連結されたコントローラであって、前記位置決め部材を用いて前記トランスデューサを位置決めするとともに、前記トランスデューサが感知した超音波エネルギーから治療領域の前記組織の画像が得られる撮像モードで、並びに前記トランスデューサを用いたHIFU療法で複数の治療部位が治療される治療モードで、前記トランスデューサを動作させるように構成されたコントローラとを備え、
前記コントローラが、前記治療領域の複数の目標領域をモニタするとともに、複数の画像のうち少なくとも二つの画像の周波数分析に基づいて、前記少なくとも二つの画像それぞれの多次元部分に対応する各目標領域の組織変化値を決定するように更に構成された、治療領域の組織を治療するための装置。 - 前記撮像モード及び前記治療モードが別個に行われる、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 第1の撮像モードにおいて第1の目標領域を含む第1の画像が取得され、
第1の治療モードにおいて、前記第1の目標領域内に位置付けられた第1の治療部位が第1のHIFU療法の対象とされ、
第2の撮像モードにおいて前記第1の目標領域を含む第2の画像が取得され、前記第1の治療モードは前記第1の撮像モードよりも時間が後であり、前記第2の撮像モードは前記第1の治療モードよりも時間が後である、請求項2に記載の装置。 - 前記コントローラが、前記第1の画像に基づく前記第1の目標領域の第1のパワースペクトルと、前記第2の画像に基づく前記第1の目標領域の第2のパワースペクトルとを決定するように更に構成され、前記第1のパワースペクトル及び前記第2のパワースペクトルがそれぞれ複数の周波数帯を含み、前記第1のパワースペクトル及び前記第2のパワースペクトルの前記複数の周波数帯の比較に基づいて前記組織変化値が決定される、請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記第2の画像と、前記第1の治療部位に対応する位置において前記第2の画像に重なる前記組織変化値の視覚的インジケータとを表示する表示装置を更に備える、請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記治療領域の三次元画像と、前記第1の治療部位に対応する位置において前記三次元画像内に位置付けられる前記組織変化値の視覚的インジケータとを表示する表示装置を更に備える、請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記視覚的インジケータが、前記組織変化値がその範囲内にあるレベルと関連付けられる色を有する、請求項5に記載の装置。
- HIFU療法を用いた直接治療に先立って、治療部位を含む少なくとも多次元画像である第1の画像を取得するステップと、
前記HIFU療法を用いて前記治療部位の前記直接治療を行うステップと、
前記直接治療に続いて、前記治療部位を含む多次元画像である第2の画像を取得するステップと、
前記治療部位を含む目標領域に対応する前記第1の画像の一部分の第1のパワースペクトルと、前記目標領域に対応する前記第2の画像の一部分の第2のパワースペクトルとに基づいて、組織の前記目標領域における組織変化値を決定するステップとを含む、組織の治療領域に対して治療を提供する方法。 - 前記第1の画像及び前記第2の画像がそれぞれ複数の一次元のエコーラインを有する二次元画像であり、前記目標領域に対応する前記第1の画像の前記一部分が、前記治療部位を含む焦点区域に対応する前記一次元のエコーラインの部分集合の一部分を含み、前記目標領域に対応する前期第2の画像の前記一部分が、前記治療部位を含む前記焦点区域に対応する前記一次元のエコーラインの前記部分集合の前記一部分を含む、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記組織の目標領域における組織変化のレベルを決定する前記ステップが、
前記目標領域に対応する前記第1の画像の前記一部分の前記第1のパワースペクトルを決定するステップと、
前記目標領域に対応する前記第2の画像の前記一部分の前記第2のパワースペクトルを決定するステップと、
複数の周波数帯それぞれについて、前記第1のパワースペクトル及び前記第2のパワースペクトルの前記対応する一部分を比較するステップと、
前記組織変化の指標に対応する、前記第1のパワースペクトルと前記第2のパワースペクトルとの間の最大差を有する第1の周波数帯を、前記複数の周波数帯から決定するステップとを含む、請求項9に記載の方法。 - 前記指標が前記組織変化のレベルである、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記目標領域に対応する位置で前記治療領域の画像に重ねられるとともに、前記組織変化のレベルと関連付けられた色を有する前記レベルの視覚的指標を、表示装置上に提供するステップを更に含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の画像が、前記HIFU療法を用いた前記治療部位の前記直接治療に先立っての前記治療部位の状態に対応する、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の画像が、前記HIFU療法を用いた前記治療部位の前記直接治療に先立っての、且つ前記HIFU療法を用いた近接治療部位の先の直接治療に先立っての前記治療部位の状態に対応する、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記組織変化の前記指標が閾値を下回ることに基づいて、前記治療部位の追加の直接治療が行われる、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 目標領域外の治療領域におけるHIFU療法を用いた少なくとも一つの治療部位の直接治療に応答して、前記目標領域の組織が間接的に治療されることによる、前記目標領域を含む少なくとも二つの画像の前記パワースペクトルを比較することによって決定される前記治療領域の前記目標領域における組織変化のレベルをモニタリングするステップと、
前記組織変化の前記レベルに基づいて、前記目標領域内の治療部位に対して前記HIFU療法を用いた直接治療を提供するか否かを判断するステップとを含む、組織の前記治療領域に対して治療を提供する方法。 - 前記組織変化の前記レベルが閾値を下回る場合、前記目標領域内の前記治療部位に前記HIFU療法を用いた直接治療が提供される、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記組織変化の前記レベルが閾値を上回る場合、前記目標領域内の前記治療部位がスキップされる、請求項16に記載の方法。
- HIFU療法を用いた直接治療に先立って、治療部位を含む多次元画像である第1の画像を取得するステップと、
前記HIFU療法を用いて前記治療部位の前記直接治療を行うステップと、
前記直接治療に続いて、前記治療部位を含む多次元画像である第2の画像を取得するステップと、
前記第1の画像及び前記第2の画像の周波数領域分析から、組織の目標領域における組織変化の指標を決定するステップと、
前記治療領域の画像上に、組織変化の程度の指標となる色分けした視覚的インジケータを提供するステップとを含む、組織の治療領域に対して治療を提供する方法。 - 前記組織変化の程度に基づいて、前記治療領域の組織の後に続く治療を変更するステップを更に含む、請求項19に記載の方法。
- 前記画像がBモードエコー画像であり、前記色分けした視覚的インジケータによって示される前記組織変化が前記Bモードエコー画像では目に見えない、請求項19に記載の方法。
- 第2の目標領域における組織変化の第2の指標を決定するステップと、
前記第2の指標が閾値を満たすことに基づいて、前記第2の目標領域内に位置する第2の治療部位に対する直接HIFU療法の提供を中止するステップとを更に含む、請求項19に記載の方法。 - 前記第2の指標が、前記第1の画像及び前記第2の画像以外の少なくとも一つの画像に基づいて決定される、請求項22に記載の方法。
- HIFU療法を用いた直接治療に先立って、治療部位と目標領域外の領域とを含む多次元画像である第1の画像を取得するステップと、
前記HIFU療法を用いて前記治療部位の前記直接治療を行うステップと、
前記治療部位と前記直接治療に対する前記目標領域外の前記領域とを含む多次元画像である第2の画像を取得するステップと、
前記第1の画像及び前記第2の画像の周波数領域分析から、前記目標領域外の前記領域における組織変化の指標を決定するステップと、
前記目標領域外の前記領域の画像上に、組織変化の程度の指標となる色分けした視覚的インジケータを提供するステップとを含む、組織の治療領域に対して治療を提供する方法。 - 前記目標領域外における前記組織変化の程度に基づいて、前記治療領域の組織の後に続く治療を変更するステップを更に含む、請求項24に記載の方法。
