Abstract
Description
以下の表1に記載されているコーティング22を調製し、コーティングが施されていないSaint Gobain Technical FabricsのGlasGrid(登録商標)製品(8501または8511グリッド)に施した。
ポリマー樹脂コーテッドフィルムの調製
ポリエチレン(PE)とポリプロピレン(PP)がブレンドされた、厚さが12.7マイクロメートルの薄いフィルムを調製した。フィルムに孔をあけて、直径0.5ミリメートルの開口部が25.4ミリメートルごとの間隔で存在するようにした。これは、表面層の施工における加熱アスファルト混合物から下側のアスファルト層への熱伝達を容易にし、フィルムをアスファルト舗道層に付着させるためである。塊状重合された(塩化ビニル)PVCアクリル系共重合体のエマルション中に、フィルムを21℃で浸し、コーティングされたフィルムを熱対流炉において100℃で2分間乾燥させ、フィルム上のコーティングの残留率(residual rate)は123g/m2になった。

図11は、コーティング120および/またはコーティング22に使用される組成物に対して実施された一連の試験のデータをプロットしたものである。そのデータを用いて、非樹脂性コーティングのせん断性能と比較してせん断性能を実質的に低下させることなく、コーティング120に使用する非アスファルト樹脂性材料と一緒にどのくらいの割合のアスファルト乳剤をブレンドできるかを求めた。
Claims (10)
- 第1および第2主表面を有するポリマーフィルムを含んでいるキャリヤー基材と;
樹脂性非アスファルト材料を含むか、あるいは約50%以上の樹脂性非アスファルト構成材と約50%以下のアスファルト構成材とを含む材料を含んでいる、前記第1および第2主表面上の表面層と
を含むタックフィルムであって、
厚さが約3.8cm(1.5インチ)以上であるアスファルト舗装材料の被覆層が敷設されることよって前記タックフィルム材料に加えられる圧力の下で、前記表面層が約120℃以上の温度に加熱されると、前記表面層がアスファルト舗装材料の隣接層との結合を形成することができ、さらに
前記表面層が約20℃の温度および約1気圧の圧力では粘着性がない、タックフィルム。 - 前記表面層が、前記コーティングの乾燥重量の約5重量%〜約9重量%の量の水溶性ポリマーをさらに含む、請求項1に記載のタックフィルム。
- 前記表面層が、表面層のpHが約8または9となるのに十分な量のアンモニアをさらに含む、請求項1に記載のタックフィルム。
- 前記表面層が約2重量%〜約5重量%の可塑剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載のタックフィルム。
- 前記表面層が、可溶性ポリマー、アンモニア、増粘剤、カーボンブラック、脱泡剤、および可塑剤からなる群の1種または複数種を約1〜10重量%だけさらに含む、請求項1に記載のタックフィルム。
- 請求項1に記載のタックフィルムをアスファルト舗装材料のバインダー層の上に置くステップと、
アスファルト材料の表面層を前記タックフィルムの上に置くステップと
を含む、舗装方法。 - 前記方法が、前記アスファルト材料の表面層を置く前に、オープン補強層を前記タックフィルムの上にかぶせることをさらに含む、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 第1および第2主表面を有するポリマーフィルムを含んでいるキャリヤー基材を用意するステップと、
樹脂性非アスファルト表面層材料か、あるいは約50%以上の樹脂性非アスファルト構成材と約50%以下のアスファルト構成材とを含んでいる材料で前記第1および第2主表面を覆うステップと
を含む、請求項1に記載のタックフィルム材料を製造する方法。 - 厚さが約3.8cm(1.5インチ)以上であるアスファルト舗装材料の被覆層が敷設されることによって前記タックフィルム材料に加えられる圧力の下で、前記表面層材料が約120℃以上の温度に加熱されると、前記表面層材料がアスファルト舗装材料の隣接層との結合を形成することができ、かつ前記表面層材料が約20℃の温度および約1気圧の圧力では粘着性がない、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記覆うステップが、前記キャリヤー基材を、前記樹脂性非アスファルト表面層材料の中に、あるいは約50%以上の樹脂性非アスファルト構成材と約50%以下のアスファルト構成材とを含んでいる材料の中に浸すことを含む、請求項8に記載の方法。
