Claims (11)
- 少なくとも一方の上面が面(1)を構成し、互いに直角に配置されて全周にわたる側面が平面の逃げ面(2)を構成する、切り屑を形成する機械加工用の切削インサートであって、
前記面(1)は、前記逃げ面(2)に隣接してすくい角0°で配置された平面の面部分(3)の後で、中心に向かう方向に、下方に傾斜する平面の壁部分(4)を介して、低い平面の切り屑形成基部(5)までテーパ状になり、上方に傾斜する平面の壁部分(6)を介して、中心に配置された平坦部(7)まで上方に傾斜し、
前記平坦部(7)の両側に対面する2つの前記壁部分(6)上に、複数の隆起状の切り屑形成要素(8)が互いに平行して等間隔で配置され、
前記切り屑形成要素(8)は、前記切り屑形成基部(5)まで下方に傾斜する上面(9)と下方に傾斜する逃げ面(10)を有する、ことを特徴とする切削インサート。 - 前記平坦部(7)および前記切り屑形成要素(8)が、切れ刃の垂直二等分線(11、12)の各々に対して鏡面対称に配置される、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記平坦部(7)が、前記切れ刃が配置される平面の高さに配置されるか、または前記平坦部(7)が、前記切れ刃が配置される平面の上側に突出する、ことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記切り屑形成要素(8)の前記上面(9)が、前記平坦部(7)の平面の下側から始まる、ことを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記切り屑形成要素(8)の前記上面(9)が、前記切り屑形成基部(5)に対して前記平坦部(7)の下方に20°〜40°、好ましくは30°の角度αで傾斜する前記壁部分(6)よりも少ない斜面、好ましくは15°以下の斜面、および/または部分的な領域では前記平面の壁部分(6)と同じ傾斜の斜面を構成する、ことを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記切れ刃から少し離れて配置された前記下方に傾斜する平面の前記壁部分(4)は、前記切り屑形成基部(5)に対して20°〜40°、好ましくは30°の角度α’で傾斜している、ことを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記切り屑形成基部(5)が、すくい角0°で配置された前記面部分(3)よりも0.4mm〜0.6mm、好ましくは0.5mmの寸法だけ低い、ことを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記切り屑形成基部(5)に突出する前記切り屑形成要素(8)が、前記切り屑形成基部(5)の表面の幅bの最大半分にわたって延在し、好ましくは前記切り屑形成基部(5)の表面の幅bの四分の一にわたって延在する、ことを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記切り屑形成要素(8)の互いに対する間隔が、前記上面(9)の幅の0.75〜1.5倍である、ことを特徴とする請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記切れ刃に沿って、全周わたる食い付き部(13)が配置され、前記食い付き部(13)の幅cは、前記面(1)において0.4mm〜0.6mm、好ましくは0.5mmであり、前記面(1)の前記面部分(3)に対して10°〜20°、好ましくは15°の角度γで傾斜している、ことを特徴とする請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記切削インサートが2つの長い切れ刃を有し、前記隆起状の切り屑形成要素(8)が前記長い切れ刃にのみ平行に配置される、ことを特徴とする請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の切削インサート。
