負荷増加条件:表1に示すように、最小負荷(1%)では、インジェクタ1は1.5Hzの周波数及び17g/分の流量で噴射を開始する。負荷が1%から15%に増加すると、インジェクタの周波数は1.5Hzのままだが、インジェクタ1の流量は負荷に比例して17g/分から125g/分に変化する。負荷が15%を超えて増加し続けると、インジェクタの周波数は約60ミリ秒以内に1.5Hzから10Hzに切り替わる。10Hzで動作するインジェクタ1は、負荷が40%となるまで要求された330g/分の流量を供給し続ける。負荷が40%を超えて増加すると、インジェクタ2は10Hzの周波数で噴射を開始し、流量はインジェクタ1からの78%(264g/分)とインジェクタ2からの22%(72g/分)の合計となる。負荷が40%から100%に増加すると、インジェクタ1よりもインジェクタ2において流量が急速に増加し、100%の負荷ではインジェクタ1,2の流量が50/50となり、全流量は816g/分となる。
Claims (23)
- 2つ以上の試薬インジェクタを使用してディーゼル排出物質を減少させるための装置であって、
ディーゼルパティキュレートフィルタ及びリーンNOxトラップの少なくとも1つの上流に配置され、ディーゼルエンジンからの排気ガス流に第1の試薬を噴射する第1のインジェクタと、
選択的触媒還元触媒の上流に配置され、前記第1の試薬とは異なる第2の試薬を前記排気ガス流に噴射する第2のインジェクタと、
前記第1のインジェクタに前記第1の試薬を供給する第1のポンプと、
前記第2のインジェクタに前記第2の試薬を供給する第2のポンプと、
前記第1の試薬及び前記第2の試薬の噴射を制御する制御装置と、
を含む装置。 - 請求項1において、前記制御装置が、エンジン作動パラメータに基づいて少なくとも1つの制御信号を生成する装置。

検出された前記エンジン負荷が前記第2の閾値を超えている場合に、前記第2のインジェクタから前記第2の試薬を前記第2の噴射周波数で噴射し、前記第1のインジェクタから前記第1の試薬を前記第2の噴射周波数で噴射する工程と、
を含む方法。 - 請求項11において、前記第1の噴射周波数が約1.5Hz以下であり、前記第1の閾値が約15%であり、前記第2の噴射周波数が少なくとも約10Hzであり、前記第2の閾値が約40%である方法。
- 請求項11において、
検出された前記エンジン負荷が約1%から約15%に増加する時に前記第1のインジェクタのオン時間を増加させて前記第1のインジェクタからの第1の流量を約125g/分とする工程と、
前記第1の流量が少なくとも約330g/分になるまで、前記エンジン負荷が約40%に増加する際に前記第1のインジェクタのオン時間を増加させる工程と、
をさらに含む方法。 - 請求項13において、少なくとも816g/分の合計流量が達成されるまで、第1の流量及び前記第2のインジェクタからの第2の流量を増加させる工程をさらに含む方法。
- 請求項11において、
検出された前記エンジン負荷が第3の閾値まで減少するまで前記第1の試薬を前記第2の噴射周波数で噴射すると共に前記第2の試薬を前記第2の噴射周波数で噴射する工程と、
検出された前記エンジン負荷が前記第3の閾値未満に減少した場合に前記第2のインジェクタからの前記第2の試薬の噴射を停止させる工程と、検出された前記エンジン負荷が第4の閾値未満に減少した場合に前記第1のインジェクタの噴射周波数を前記第1の噴射周波数に減少させる工程と、
をさらに含む方法。 - 請求項15において、前記第3の閾値が約21%であり、前記第4の閾値が約12%である方法。
- 請求項11において、前記第1のインジェクタ及び前記第2のインジェクタのそれぞれの流量を変化させる工程をさらに含む方法。
- 請求項11において、前記第1の試薬及び前記第2の試薬が尿素である方法。
- 請求項11において、前記第1の試薬及び前記第2の試薬が炭化水素である方法。
- 請求項11において、
前記第2の試薬の供給が所定の低レベルに達したことを示す警告信号を制御装置において受信する工程と、
前記警告信号を受信した場合に、前記第2の試薬の噴射を停止させ、前記第1の試薬を噴射を開始させるための少なくとも1つの制御信号を前記制御装置から送信する工程と、
をさらに含む方法。 - 2つのインジェクタを使用して試薬の噴射を制御する方法であって、
約60〜120psiの圧力で少なくとも1種の試薬をリードインジェクタとラグインジェクタに供給するための1以上の流体供給ポンプを用意し、
NOx及び微粒子を減少させるための1種以上の後処理触媒を含むディーゼルエンジンの排気ガス流に前記リードインジェクタから第1の試薬を約0.25〜600g/分の流量で供給し、
前記ラグインジェクタから前記第1の試薬とは異なる第2の試薬を約0.25〜600g/分の流量で前記排気ガス流に供給し、
単一の制御装置から前記第1の試薬及び前記第2の試薬の供給を制御することを含み、
前記リードインジェクタ及び前記ラグインジェクタのそれぞれが、約40〜約80μm(SMD)の液滴を供給するための噴霧化用渦巻板を有する単一流体パルス幅変調インジェクタを含む方法。 - 請求項21において、
前記1種以上の後処理触媒が、ディーゼルパティキュレートフィルタ及び前記ディーゼルパティキュレートフィルタの下流に配置された選択的触媒還元触媒を含み、
前記リードインジェクタが、前記ディーゼルパティキュレートフィルタの上流で炭化水素試薬を噴射し、
前記ラグインジェクタが、前記ディーゼルエンジンパティキュレートフィルタと前記選択的触媒還元触媒との間で尿素試薬を噴射する方法。 - 請求項21において、
前記第1のインジェクタ及び前記第2のインジェクタのそれぞれが、約0.004〜約0.030インチのオリフィス直径を有するオリフィス板を含み、
前記第1のインジェクタ及び前記第2のインジェクタが、約1〜約95%のオン時間、約1Hz〜約10Hzの噴射周波数、約60psi〜約120psiの流体圧力、約2.5〜約10ガロン/時の循環速度となるように構成されている方法。
