Claims (15)
- 医療機器を製造するためのプロセスであって、そのような装置の機械的特性を高めるために、前記医療機器の長さにわたる、異なる壁厚および幾何学に基づいた形状を可能にすることができる設計特徴部を有するプロセスにおいて、金属を備えるチューブを形成するステップと、前記チューブを所望の長さに切断するステップと、前記チューブを切断して前記所望の設計特徴部を有する前記医療機器を形成するステップと、を備え、前記金属は、a)タンタルおよびタングステンの合金、b)ニオブ、c)ニオブおよびジルコニウムの合金、または、d)それらの組み合わせ、を備えるプロセス。
- 前記プロセスは、メタルブランクへの製造ステップを含み、前記製造ステップは、レーザ切断、エッチング、圧接、アニーリング、延伸、ピルガリング、電気めっき、電解研磨、化学研磨、クリーニング、酸洗い、イオンビーム蒸着またはイオンビーム注入、スパッタコーティング、および、真空蒸着の少なくとも1つを備える請求項1記載のプロセス。
- 前記金属は、90〜97.5%のタンタルおよび2.5〜10%のタングステンを備える請求項1記載のプロセス。
- 前記金属は、少なくとも約95%のニオブを備える請求項1記載のプロセス。
- 前記医療機器は、ステントを備える請求項1記載のプロセス。
- 前記チューブは、固体ロッドに通路をドリル開けすることによって形成される請求項1記載のプロセス。
- 前記チューブは、真空アーク溶解プロセスによって形成されるか、または、真空下で高温で金属粉末を、強固にし、プレスし、焼結することによって形成される請求項1記載のプロセス。
- 前記チューブをアニーリングするステップをさらに備える請求項1記載のプロセス。
- 前記チューブは、約0.003〜0.008インチの直径、および、約0.0025インチ未満の壁厚を有するように切断される請求項1記載のプロセス。
- 前記医療機器は、孔、キャビティ、チャネル、ピット、リブ、スロット、ノッチ、瘤、歯、ウェル、穴、溝、またはそれらの組み合わせを含む1つまたはそれ以上の表面修飾を有するように形成される請求項1記載のプロセス。

- 前記医療機器は、ステント、グラフト、弁、ねじ、ネイル、ロッド、PFO装置、人工補装具、シース、ガイドワイヤ、バルーンカテーテル、ハイポチューブ、カテーテル、電気生理学カテーテル、ステープル、または、切断装置である請求項1記載のプロセス。
- 前記医療機器の1つまたはそれ以上の部分の壁厚は、前記部分の長さ方向に沿って変動する請求項1記載のプロセス。
- 医療機器であって、そのような装置の機械的特性を高めるために、前記医療機器の長さにわたる、異なる壁厚および幾何学に基づいた形状を可能にすることができる切断特徴部を有する医療機器において、前記装置は、少なくとも部分的に、a)タンタルおよびタングステンの合金、b)ニオブ、c)ニオブおよびジルコニウムの合金、または、d)それらの組み合わせ、から構成される医療機器。
