Description

The present invention relates to a banknote handling apparatus that handles banknotes, and more particularly to a banknote handling apparatus capable of automatically detecting a government seal and a transaction processing apparatus including the banknote handling apparatus.

For customers who wish to have a government seal, it is common practice to load a government seal into a change machine and exchange a circulation tag into a government seal.

On the other hand, in order to shorten the loading time and prevent damage to the banknote due to conveyance when loading banknotes into the banknote handling apparatus, many apparatuses that measure the amount of banknotes stored based on the banknote stacking height without counting banknotes are used. ing. In an apparatus that measures the amount of banknotes stored based on the banknote stacking height, there is a method of correcting the amount of storage because the height varies greatly depending on the degree of circulation of the banknotes (see Patent Document 1). In this correction method, the accommodation amount is corrected by calculating from the number of bills obtained by means such as an operator input and the actual accumulated height.

In addition, an apparatus has been proposed in which a withdrawal is specified by designating a government seal or a distribution tag according to a customer's request (see Patent Document 2). This apparatus requires a withdrawal cassette for a government seal and a circulation tag, and it is necessary to load banknotes in each withdrawal cassette.

According to the conventional example, in the apparatus for measuring the amount of banknotes stored according to the stacking height of banknotes, since the variation in height is large due to the circulation of the banknotes, the banknotes to be loaded when an operator loads the banknotes. If it is a government seal, it is necessary to input that it is a government seal to the banknote processing apparatus.

In addition, an apparatus that corrects the amount of storage by calculating from the number of banknotes stored and the stacking height as in Patent Document 1 has also been proposed. However, in that case, the number of banknotes to be stored is counted separately by, for example, a counter and the operator needs to input the value from an input device or the like when the banknotes are loaded.

Also, as in Patent Document 2, when using a withdrawal cassette for government seals and distribution tags, an operator should put an official seal on the withdrawal cassette for government seals without any mistake, The money cassette had to be loaded with circulation tags.

In any case, when loading a banknote into the banknote processing apparatus, it is necessary to input information that the operator is a government seal or a circulation tag and information on the number of stored banknotes into the banknote processing apparatus. If the input is incorrect, the amount of banknotes stored cannot be detected properly, and even though enough banknotes are loaded for transactions, the operation is stopped due to the remaining amount of banknotes, or the exchange of government seals is desired. There arises a problem that the distribution card is withdrawn from the customer.

An object of the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned problems in the transaction apparatus by reducing the operator's operation at the time of loading the banknote by automatically determining the official seal by the banknote processing apparatus.

In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the present invention includes a serial number reading means for optically reading a serial number of a conveyed bill, a means for storing a plurality of recent serial numbers in the conveyed bill, And determining means for determining that the banknote is a government seal when at least a plurality of serial numbers stored in the storage means are continuous. When it is determined that the bill is a seal, the conveyance control of the bill corresponding to the government seal is performed.

Since it was set as the above-mentioned structure, an operator does not need to input the information about whether the banknote to be loaded is a government seal.

Further, the banknote handling apparatus is provided in a banknote depositing / withdrawing cassette so as to be movable up and down, and a press plate on which the banknotes are stacked and placed on the upper surface and a mechanism for detecting the stacking height of banknotes by the vertical position of the press plate. In the apparatus for calculating the bill capacity M = aH based on the height H, the judgment means corrects the calculation formula for calculating the bill capacity when it is a government seal. N = bH is calculated.
(However, M and N: bill capacity (sheets), H: stacking height, a: number of cards per stacking height, b: number of cards per stacking height)
It is in the configuration.

Since the above-described configuration is adopted, for example, when a government seal is loaded, the capacity M of the government seal can be automatically calculated from the accumulated height, even though sufficient banknotes are loaded for the transaction. Therefore, the operation will not be canceled because the remaining amount of bills is low.

Further, the banknote handling apparatus includes speed switching means for switching between low-speed conveyance and high-speed conveyance of banknotes. As a result of determination by the determination means, if the bill is a government seal, the conveyance speed of the banknote is changed to low-speed conveyance. It is to be configured to switch at.

Since it is configured as described above, in the case of government seals, it is possible to reduce the damage of banknotes by using low speed transport, withdrawing to customers while maintaining the state of government seals, and In this case, the processing time can be shortened by high-speed conveyance, and the waiting time of the customer is reduced.

Further, in the banknote processing apparatus for counting and loading the banknotes into the deposit / withdrawal cassette, the judgment means is provided so as to be movable up and down in the banknote depositing / withdrawing cassette and the first judging means for judging whether the bill is a circulation tag or a government seal. And a mechanism for detecting the stacking height of banknotes by the upper and lower positions of the pressing plate on which the banknotes are stacked and placed on the upper surface. The same face value as that of the first deposit / withdrawal cassette storing the official seal of the same denomination as the second judgment means for judging whether it is a circulation tag or an official seal according to the value of c in the apparatus for calculating c = N / H A second deposit / withdrawal cassette for storing denomination circulation tags, a control unit for controlling the handling of banknotes in accordance with a command from the host, and the control unit receives a second deposit / withdrawal in response to a banknote withdrawal request from the host The first deposit / withdrawal cassette than the circulation tag stored in the cassette It lies in that is configured to withdraw with priority of officers sealing labels are accommodated in.

By configuring as described above, it is possible to make a government seal more surely by combining the two judgment means, and it is used for money exchange and withdrawal services by specifying the government seal and circulation tag. be able to.

Further, the banknote handling apparatus is provided with a detecting means for detecting the remaining amount of banknotes stored in the first deposit / withdrawal cassette, and the control unit responds to a banknote withdrawal request from a higher level by the detecting means. When it is detected that there is no official seal stored in the first deposit / withdrawal cassette, the first deposit / withdrawal cassette is operated as a deposit / withdrawal cassette that stores the circulation tag.

By comprising as mentioned above, a some deposit / withdrawal cassette can be used efficiently.

Further, the banknote handling apparatus includes a transport path confirmation unit that transports a predetermined banknote when the banknote is loaded into the deposit / withdrawal cassette, and confirms whether or not the banknote can be normally stored in the deposit / withdrawal cassette. In carrying out the confirmation, the serial number is read and the determination is made.

By having comprised as mentioned above, it can be determined efficiently whether it is a government seal simultaneously with confirming whether the loaded banknote can be normally conveyed after loading a banknote into a banknote processing apparatus.

Furthermore, the banknote processing device is configured to perform the determination by reading the serial number of the banknote dispensed by the serial number reading means when withdrawing from the deposit / withdrawal cassette.

By having comprised as mentioned above, it can determine again during transaction operation after determining whether it is an official seal at the time of bill loading, and can change to a corresponding process.

Further, the transaction processing apparatus provided with the banknote processing apparatus has a display unit for guiding the customer, and when the banknote to be withdrawn is a government seal, the display unit displays guidance that the government seal can be withdrawn. It is to be configured to do.

By comprising as mentioned above, when the official seal can be withdrawn, the customer can withdraw the desired banknote by pressing the selection button.

ADVANTAGE OF THE INVENTION According to this invention, the banknote processing apparatus which can reduce an operator's load by the automatic detection of a government seal can be provided.

In this figure, 1 is a deposit / withdrawal unit, 2 is a banknote identification unit for discriminating the denomination, authenticity, type, and state of banknotes and reading serial number information, 3 is a temporary storage unit for temporarily storing banknotes, 4 5, 6 is a deposit / withdrawal cassette for storing banknotes, 7 is a reject collection box for storing rejected banknotes, 8 is a loading / collecting cassette for use in loading and collecting banknotes, and 9 is a banknote in the banknote processing apparatus A conveyance path 10 conveys a bill, and a bill conveyance unit for conveying a bill.

The operation | movement outline | summary of the deposit transaction of the banknote using the banknote processing apparatus of FIG. 1 is demonstrated.

First, cash is loaded into the deposit / withdrawal cassettes 4, 5, 6. It may be directly packed, or it may be fed out from the loading / collecting cassette 8 and determined through the banknote recognition unit 2 and conveyed to the deposit / withdrawal cassettes 4, 5 and 6 of each denomination. When there is a withdrawal request, the banknotes are paid out from the deposit / withdrawal cassettes 4, 5, 6 and conveyed to the deposit / withdrawal port 1 through the banknote identification unit 2. Banknotes that could not be correctly identified are collected in the reject collection box 7.

FIG. 2 is a block diagram of the banknote handling apparatus. In this figure, 200 is a control unit, 201 is a memory for storing various information, 202 is a serial number storage area in the memory, 203 is a storage area for banknote information such as the number of banknotes and whether it is a government seal, and 204 is a communication Reference numeral 205 denotes an upper control unit that issues various commands to the banknote processing apparatus.

The serial number information read by the banknote identification unit 2 is stored in the serial number storage area 202 of the memory 201.

(S303)。   FIG. 3 is a flowchart of processing for determining a government seal from the read serial number. A banknote is conveyed (S302) and a serial number is read (S303).

(S308)。   The read serial number is stored in the memory (S304). When the prescribed number is read (S305), it is determined whether the serial number is continuous (S306). As a result, if the serial number is continuous, it is stored in the memory as an official seal (S307). If the serial number is not continuous, it is stored in the memory as a circulation tag (S308).

FIG. 4 shows an example of serial numbers of 10 banknotes that have been conveyed recently in the serial number storage area of the read memory. In a), all serial numbers are consecutive. In (b), all serial numbers are consecutive across a banknote with poor reading. It can be inferred that the serial number of the badly read banknote is AB012349C. In c), two sets of serial numbers are consecutive, and it can be estimated that it is the boundary between two sets of official seals.

In any case, it can be determined that the serial numbers are continuous, and it can be determined that the loaded banknote is a government seal.

FIG. 5 is a detailed view of the inside of the deposit / withdrawal cassette. Reference numeral 501 denotes stacked banknotes, and 502 denotes a press plate that pushes up banknotes. As shown in FIG. 5, in the case of the same M circulation tags and government seals, the accumulation height Hr of the circulation tags and the accumulation height Hk of the government seals are different. The number a of the circulation tags per stacking height can be calculated by a = M / Hr, and the number b of the official seals per stacking height can be calculated by b = M / Hk.

If the capacity M is unknown without counting the banknotes, the distribution card can be calculated from the stacking height H and the number of banknotes per stacking height, even if the measurement error of the stacking height and the error due to individual banknotes are taken into account. In this case, the approximate number can be calculated by M = aH, and in the case of a government seal, M = bH.

In the case of a banknote processing apparatus that does not manage the number of banknotes, it can be determined that the withdrawal can be handled if the number required for the transaction is accommodated by the calculated number.

As shown in FIG. 6, when the banknote is counted and the accommodation amount M is known, the number of banknotes stored per stacking height c = M / Hx can be calculated from the stacking height Hx. If the value c is close to a, the stored banknote can be determined to be a circulation note, and if the value is close to b, it can be determined to be a government seal, and by determining together with the determination that serial numbers are continuous , It can be determined that it is a government seal more accurately.

Next, the flow of the embodiment of the money changer when cash management is not performed will be described with reference to FIGS.

FIG. 7 is an external view of the transaction processing apparatus. In FIG. 7, reference numeral 702 denotes a coin processing unit, 703 denotes a display unit for guiding and displaying to a customer, and 704 denotes an attendant panel installed on the back side of the main body door and operated by an attendant. The transaction processing apparatus of FIG. 7 is demonstrated as a money changer.

In FIG. 1, 4 is 10,000 yen, 5 is 5,000 yen, 6 is a 1,000 yen deposit / withdrawal cassette, and 8 is for 10,000 yen deposit. After the clerk loads the official seal into the 10,000 yen deposit / withdrawal cassette 4, a conveyance path confirmation test is executed from the clerk panel 704.

The banknote processing unit 100 feeds banknotes from the deposit / withdrawal cassette 4 and transports the transport path 9. A serial number is read when passing the banknote identification part 2 in the middle of the conveyance path 9. FIG. The fed banknotes are stored in the temporary storage unit 3 and are returned to the deposit / withdrawal cassette 4 after being fed out a certain number. Since the serial number is continuous, it is judged that the official seal is loaded, and the exchange transaction operation is started. The 10,000 yen bill deposited by the customer for exchange may be stored in the 10,000 yen deposit safe 8. In the case of withdrawing a government seal, the transport device 10 is switched to low speed transport, and a banknote with less damage due to transport is withdrawn. If the number of government seals is limited, a circulation tag may be stacked under the government seal ten thousand yen and loaded into the deposit / withdrawal cassette 4. Since it can be determined that the circulation tag is loaded when the serial number read at the time of withdrawal of 10,000 yen is not continuous, the corresponding processing may be performed.

Next, the flow of an embodiment of ATM for counting and loading cash and managing cash will be described with reference to FIGS.

After the loading is completed, the second judgment means determines whether the bill is a public seal from the number of sheets stored in the 10,000 yen deposit / withdrawal cassette 4 and the accumulated height.

By using both the first and second determination means, it is possible to determine the official seal more reliably. While the official seal is stored, the customer can select and withdraw by displaying on the display unit 703 that the withdrawal is possible and guiding the customer. FIG. 8 is a display example of customer guidance.

If the government seal is dispensed and the banknotes in the 10,000 yen deposit / withdrawal cassette 4 disappear, the 10,000 yen deposit / withdrawal cassette 4 can be used effectively as a normal 10,000 yen deposit / withdrawal cassette.
