Description

The present invention relates to an automatic transaction apparatus installed in a financial institution, and more particularly to a method of correcting the number of cash counted by an automatic transaction apparatus after recovery from a failure that occurred during the transfer of cash.

。   A conventional automatic transaction apparatus includes a hard disk as a storage medium that can be replaced with a storage unit and a secondary storage medium such as a removable hard disk. The hard disk and the secondary storage medium store cash count information. When a failure occurs for some reason, the hard disk is replaced with a new hard disk, and the count information stored in the secondary storage medium is stored in the new hard disk (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

In general, such automatic transaction devices update counter information according to cash transported in transactions such as deposits or withdrawals, but if a cash transport jam occurs, the staff will cause the transport jam. Since the banknotes that have been removed are taken out and stored in the reject store in the automatic transaction device, the cash stored by the clerk in the reject store remains uncounted, and later the center counter and count information of the financial institution, and the reject store The cash is scrutinized, including the amount of banknotes stored by the clerk.
JP 2007-52663 A (paragraph “0034” -paragraph “0036”, FIG. 1)

In the above-described conventional technology, when a cash jam occurs, the cash that causes the paper jam is removed by the attendant and stored in the reject box in the automatic transaction apparatus, but is stored by the attendant. Since the remaining cash is not counted and there is a difference between the cash actually stored in the automatic transaction device and the count information, information on the remaining amount in the automatic transaction device based on the transaction history later Although it is necessary to make a match with the cash actually stored, there is a problem that it takes a lot of time to recount the cash actually stored.

An object of the present invention is to provide means for solving the above problems.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention provides a banknote receiving unit that receives inserted banknotes, a discrimination unit that discriminates and counts the correctness of banknotes conveyed one by one from the banknote receiving unit, Temporary holding unit for temporarily holding banknotes conveyed from the discrimination unit, a storage for storing the correct banknotes conveyed from the temporary holding unit, and banknotes for damaged bills conveyed from the temporary holding unit A banknote storage unit for storing banknotes in the banknote storage unit, comprising a correct banknote counting means for counting banknotes each time a banknote is stored in the storage. The number of sheets is memorized, and after depositing and counting, the banknotes that have been discriminated by the discrimination section and stored in the temporary storage section are transported to the discrimination section for re-discrimination, and then the banknotes are determined according to the result of the discrimination. Banknotes in the process of storing them in the storage and the non-conformity storage unit When a jam occurs, the bills being transported are transported to the temporary holding unit, and then transported to the discrimination unit again for discrimination, and all bills are stored in the storage and the non-contained bill storage unit. After that, the number of banknotes counted by the correct bill banknote counting means is subtracted from the number of banknotes when the banknote of the temporary holding unit is initially held, thereby calculating the number of banknotes of the lost banknote and depositing the calculated number of banknotes. It is added to the number of banknotes stored in the banknote storage unit stored before the transaction.

As a result, the present invention can always count the number of banknotes actually stored by calculating the number of banknotes removed by the attendant with the transport jam. There is an effect that it is possible to prevent the time taken for performing the counting again.

The recovery process of the conveyance jam which generate | occur | produced by the money_receiving | payment transaction in the structure mentioned above is demonstrated.
It is assumed that the customer presses the deposit transaction key from the transaction selection screen displayed on the display operation unit 15 to insert a bankbook into a bankbook insertion slot (not shown), and further inserts 10 banknotes into the banknote receiving unit 2.
In addition, 100 banknotes are already stored in the storage 8a, the number of banknotes stored in the storage 8a is set as the storage number before deposit transaction, and the banknote storage unit 12 has already stored one banknote. The number of banknotes stored in the banknote storage unit 12 is stored in the storage unit 14 as the number of banknotes before deposit.

The control unit 13 separates and feeds out the banknotes inserted into the banknote receiving unit 2 one by one and transports them to the banknote discrimination unit 5 through the transport path 3.
When the banknote discriminating unit 5 discriminates the banknotes and confirms that the banknotes are correct, the control unit 13 conveys the banknotes to the temporary storage unit 7 and accumulates them.
The control unit 13 counts the number of banknotes identified by the banknote discrimination unit 5, stores the counted number in the storage unit 14 as a reserved number before deposit transaction, and reads the stored reserved number before deposit transaction, Display the transaction confirmation screen with the number of banknotes stored in the display operation unit 15 and the text asking whether or not to perform the deposit transaction, the “Yes” key for inputting or not performing the deposit transaction, the “No” key, etc. .

Here, the reserved number before deposit transaction is 10 banknotes inserted by the customer.
The customer presses the “Yes” key through the display operation unit 15.
The control unit 13 separates the banknotes one by one from the temporary storage unit 7, feeds them to the transport path 3, and transports them to the banknote discrimination unit 5. At this time, when the banknote fed out from the temporary storage unit 7 is detected by the detection sensor 4 arranged in front of the banknote discrimination unit 5, the number of banknotes accumulated in the stored temporary storage unit 7 is subtracted.

The control unit 13 discriminates whether or not the banknote discriminating unit 5 is torn or soiled so that the banknote cannot be used as a banknote to be paid out to a customer in a withdrawal transaction, and the denomination can be discriminated from the discrimination result. Non-contaminated bills that can not be used for gold transactions are transported to the non-contained bill storage unit 12, while regular bills that are free of tears and stains are transported to any of the storage boxes 8a to 8d. In the example, it is assumed that all are conveyed to the storage 8a.

Here, the control unit 13 recognizes that the banknote has been transported to the storage 8a by the detection sensor 4 disposed in front of the storage 8a, and further detects by the detection sensor 4 disposed in front of the banknote storage unit 12. Recognizing that the banknotes have been conveyed to the damaged ticket storage unit 12, the number of banknotes stored in the storage 8a and the damaged ticket storage unit 12 is counted and stored.
When a paper jam occurs in the middle of the transport path 3 between the banknote discrimination unit 5 and the storage box 8a during the banknote transport, the control unit 13 detects the detection by the detection sensor 4 disposed between the banknote discrimination unit 5 and the storage 8a. Recognizing the occurrence of a conveyance jam, the conveyance of banknotes by the conveyance path 3 is stopped.

At this time, it is assumed that six banknotes are fed out from the temporary storage unit 7, two of which are stored in the storage 8 a, one is stored in the non-payment storage unit 12, and the remaining three are the transport path 3. It shall remain on the way.
Therefore, the number of banknotes in the storage 8a counted by the control unit 13 is 102 sheets by adding two to the 100 sheets that were originally counted, and the number of banknotes in the damaged bill storage unit 12 was originally counted. One sheet is added to one sheet to obtain two sheets.

The control unit 13 notifies an attendant of the occurrence of a paper jam by voice or lighting of a lamp by an attendant notifying unit such as a speaker or a lamp (not shown).
The clerk opens the automatic transaction apparatus 1 and removes one banknote causing the jam from the transport path 3 from the transport path 3 and stores the removed banknote in the non-payment storage unit 12 to display the clerk. An input operation for starting the recovery operation is performed by the unit 16.

Therefore, two banknotes remain in the conveyance path 3.
Note that the banknote stored by the clerk in the non-contained bill storage unit 12 is stored without passing through the detection sensor 4, and thus the banknote that the control unit 13 does not count. Therefore, it is necessary to perform a process of correcting the number of banknotes stored in the damaged bill storage unit 12 by the control unit 13 after the recovery operation, and the correction process will be described later.

FIG. 3 is an explanatory diagram illustrating a banknote transport path associated with a first recovery operation during a deposit transaction.
As the first recovery operation in the deposit transaction, the control unit 13 transports the transport path 3 provided between the storage 8a and the temporary storage unit 7 in the direction opposite to the deposit process as shown by the arrow in FIG. It is operated in the direction, that is, in the direction from the storage 8a side toward the temporary storage unit 7 via the banknote discrimination unit 5.
As a result, banknotes remaining in the transport path 3 between the storage 8 a and the temporary storage unit 7 are transported to the temporary storage unit 7.

FIG. 4 is an explanatory diagram showing a banknote transport path associated with a second recovery operation during a deposit transaction.
As the second recovery operation in the deposit transaction, the control unit 13 transports the transport path 3 that connects the non-payment storage unit 12 and the temporary storage unit 7 in the direction opposite to the deposit process, as indicated by an arrow in FIG. It is operated in the direction, that is, in the direction from the non-payment bill storage unit 12 side to the temporary storage unit 7 via the banknote discrimination unit 5.

As a result, the banknotes remaining on the transport path 3 between the damaged bill storage unit 12 and the temporary storage unit 7 are transported to the temporary storage unit 7.
The two banknotes remaining in the transport path 3 are returned to the temporary storage unit 7 by the above recovery operation, and the six banknotes are accumulated in the temporary storage unit 7.
FIG. 5 is an explanatory diagram showing a banknote transport path accompanying a third recovery operation during a deposit transaction.

As shown in FIG. 5, the control unit 13 conveys the banknotes accumulated in the temporary storage unit 7 to the banknote discrimination unit 5, performs banknote discrimination in the banknote discrimination unit 5, and stores the storage 8 a or the loss depending on the discrimination result. The bill is conveyed to the ticket storage unit 12.
Here, it is assumed that all six banknotes accumulated in the temporary storage unit 7 are conveyed to and stored in the storage 8a, and the control unit 13 counts the number of banknotes transferred to the storage 8a and already stores it. The counted number is added to the number of banknotes in the storage case 8a.

Therefore, the number of banknotes counted by the control unit 13 is 0 in the temporary storage unit 7, and 6 sheets are added to 102 sheets that have been stored in the storage 8a to 108 sheets. The number of banknotes (0) in the storage unit 7 is stored in the storage unit 14 as the post-recovery stored number of sheets, and the number of banknotes (108) in the storage 8a is stored in the storage unit 14 as the post-recovery storage number.
At this time, the number of banknotes stored in the banknote storage unit 12 counted by the control unit 13 is two.

The control unit 13 reads out the stored reserve number before deposit transaction and the stored number before deposit transaction, the number of lost tickets before deposit transaction, the number of retained tickets after recovery, and the stored number after recovery, and stores the stored slips using them. A process of correcting the number of banknotes in the section 12 to the number of banknotes actually stored at the present time is performed.
The process for the correction is obtained based on the following mathematical formula.
Number of banknotes stored in the non-payment storage unit 12 = (Number of reserved sheets before deposit transaction (10 sheets)) − (Number of stored sheets after recovery (0 sheets)) + (Number of stored sheets before deposit transaction (100 sheets)) − (Number of stored sheets after recovery ( 108)) + (Number of banknotes before deposit transaction (1))
When the number of banknotes in the non-conformity storage unit 12 is obtained by the above formula, it is three. On the other hand, since the number of banknotes stored in the banknote storage unit 10 counted by the control unit 13 is 2, the number of banknotes including banknotes removed by the attendant and stored in the banknote storage unit 12 is calculated. The number of banknotes stored is stored in the storage unit 14 as the number of banknotes stored in the banknote storage unit 12.

In this way, the number of banknotes inserted by the customer and transported to the temporary storage unit 7 is subtracted from the number of banknotes finally transported and stored in the storage 8a in the final deposit transaction, thereby causing a transport jam. Can calculate the number of banknotes stored in the banknote storage unit 12, and by adding the calculated number of banknotes to the number of banknotes originally stored in the banknote storage unit 12, it is actually stored in the banknote storage unit 12 at the present time. It is possible to calculate the number of bills that have been made.

Thereafter, the control unit 13 performs processing such as writing the result of the deposit transaction into the customer's passbook by the passbook handling unit 18 as usual, returns the passbook to the customer, and ends the deposit transaction process.
Next, processing after recovery of the transport jam that occurred in the withdrawal transaction will be described.
The control unit 13 of the automatic transaction apparatus 1 displays a transaction selection screen on the display operation unit 15, and prompts the customer to input a word and a password for inserting a transaction card when the withdrawal transaction key is pressed by the customer. Display a screen with wordings.

Then, when the transaction card is inserted by the customer and the personal identification number is input, the control unit 13 displays a screen for prompting input of the withdrawal amount.
The customer inputs the withdrawal amount according to the displayed screen.
When the withdrawal amount is input, the control unit 13 performs communication processing by transmitting the card information read from the transaction card by the card handling unit 19, the input PIN number, and the withdrawal amount to a host computer (not shown). To receive a notification indicating that customer confirmation and withdrawal transactions are possible.

Note that the banknotes to be withdrawn and paid to the customer are taken out from the storage 8a, and the control unit 13 stores the number of banknotes stored in the storage 8a before starting the delivery of banknotes before the withdrawal transaction. The number of reject banknotes stored in the reject banknote storage unit 10 is stored in the storage unit 14 as the number of rejects before withdrawal transaction.
In the present embodiment, it is assumed that 200 bills are already stored in the storage 8a, and this is the stored number before the withdrawal transaction.

Further, it is assumed that no banknotes are stored in the reject banknote storage unit 10, and therefore, the number of reject banknotes before withdrawal is stored as zero.
The control unit 13 separates the banknotes stored in the storage 8 a one by one based on the withdrawal amount, feeds them to the transport path 3, discriminates them by the banknote discrimination unit 5, and transports the correct bills to the banknote acceptance unit 2. Then, the reject ticket is conveyed to the reject banknote storage unit 10.

If a conveyance jam occurs before the banknotes corresponding to the withdrawal amount are accumulated in the banknote receiving unit 2, the control unit 13 recognizes the generation of the conveyance jam by detection by the detection sensor 4 and stops conveyance of the banknotes by the conveyance path 3. .
At this time, it is assumed that 60 banknotes are fed out from the storage 8a, 50 of which are transported to the banknote receiving unit 2 and 2 are transported to the reject banknote storage unit 10, and the remaining 8 sheets It is assumed that the banknote is left in the middle of the conveyance path 3.

The control unit 13 stores 140 banknotes counted by feeding 60 banknotes from the storage 8a, and the banknote number (50 sheets) conveyed to the banknote receiving unit 2 and the reject banknote storage unit 10. It is assumed that the number of banknotes conveyed (2) is counted and stored.
The control unit 13 notifies an attendant of the occurrence of a paper jam by voice or lighting of a lamp by an attendant notifying unit such as a speaker or a lamp (not shown).

The clerk opens the automatic transaction apparatus 1 and removes two banknotes causing the jam from the transport path 3 from the transport path 3 and stores the removed banknotes in the reject banknote storage unit 10 to display the staff. An input operation for starting the recovery operation is performed by the unit 16.
Therefore, six banknotes remain in the conveyance path 3.
In addition, since the banknote stored in the reject banknote storage unit 10 by the clerk is stored without passing through the detection sensor 4, it is counted as the number of actually stored banknotes that are not counted by the control unit 13. Although the number is different from the number of sheets, a process of correcting the number of banknotes stored in the damaged bill storage unit 12 after the recovery operation is performed, and the correction process will be described later.

FIG. 6 is an explanatory diagram illustrating a banknote transport path associated with a first recovery operation during a withdrawal transaction.
As a first recovery operation in the withdrawal transaction, the control unit 13 operates the conveyance path 3 from the storage 8a side toward the banknote receiving unit 2 via the banknote discrimination unit 5 as shown by an arrow in FIG. The banknotes remaining between the storage 8a and the banknote receiving unit 2 are conveyed to the banknote receiving unit 2.
It is assumed that two of the banknotes remaining in the transport path 3 by the above recovery operation are transported to the banknote receiving unit 2 and accumulated, and the remaining four banknotes remain in the transport path 3. .

FIG. 7 is an explanatory diagram illustrating a banknote transport path associated with a second recovery operation during a withdrawal transaction.
As a second recovery operation in the withdrawal transaction, the control unit 13 moves the conveyance path 3 from the reject banknote storage unit 10 to the banknote receiving unit 2 via the banknote discrimination unit 5 as indicated by an arrow in FIG. The banknotes remaining between the reject banknote storage unit 10 and the banknote receiving unit 2 are transported to the banknote receiving unit 2.

The four banknotes remaining in the transport path 3 by the above recovery operation are transported and stacked in the banknote receiving section 2, 56 banknotes are stacked in the banknote receiving section 2, and banknotes remain in the transport path 3. Not in a state.
FIG. 8 is an explanatory view showing a banknote transport path associated with a third recovery operation during a withdrawal transaction. (A) shows a state in which banknotes are accumulated in a temporary storage section, and (b) shows a temporary storage section. The state which stored the banknote in the storage or the reject banknote storage part is shown.

As shown in FIG. 8A, the control unit 13 presses the banknotes accumulated in the banknote receiving unit 2 by the bill press 2a toward the feeding roller 2b, thereby separating the banknotes one by one and feeding them to the transport path 3. Then, it is conveyed to the temporary storage unit 7 and accumulated.
Next, the control unit 13 separates the banknotes accumulated in the temporary storage unit 7 one by one and transports them to the banknote discrimination unit 5 through the conveyance path 3 as shown in FIG. From the discrimination result, the banknote which was a correct bill is conveyed to the storage 8a, and the banknote which was the reject banknote is conveyed to the reject banknote storage unit 10.

Here, it is assumed that 54 banknotes that were authentic from the discrimination result are conveyed to and stored in the storage 8a, and two banknotes that have been identified as reject banknotes are stored in the reject banknote storage unit 10.
Therefore, the control unit 13 counts the number of banknotes in the storage 8a as 194 by adding 54 to the 140 originally counted, and stores the number of banknotes in the storage unit 14 as the stored number after restoration. Remember.

The control unit 13 counts four banknotes stored in the reject banknote storage unit 10 in order to detect two banknotes newly stored in the reject banknote storage unit 10.
The control unit 13 reads the stored number of stored sheets before withdrawal, the number of rejected sheets before withdrawal, and the number of stored sheets after recovery, and stores the stored number of banknotes in the reject banknote storage unit 10 to the correct number of banknotes stored at the present time. The correction process for changing is performed, and the process for that is obtained based on the following equation.

Number of banknotes in reject banknote storage unit 10 = (number of stored sheets before withdrawal (200 sheets)) − (number of stored sheets after recovery (194 sheets)) + (number of rejected sheets before withdrawal (0 sheets))
The number of banknotes in the reject banknote storage unit 10 determined by the above formula is six, while the number of banknotes in the reject banknote storage unit 10 counted by the control unit 13 is four. That is, the number of banknotes actually stored in the reject banknote storage unit 10 is calculated, and the calculated number of banknotes is stored in the storage unit 14 as the number of banknotes in the reject banknote storage unit 10.

In this way, by subtracting the number of banknotes stored in the storage 8a after the recovery process from the number of banknotes stored in the storage 8a before performing the withdrawal transaction, a staff member causes a conveyance jam. The number of banknotes stored in the reject banknote storage unit 10 is calculated in the withdrawal transaction including the banknotes removed from the transport path 3 and stored in the reject banknote storage unit 10, and the rejected banknotes are stored before the withdrawal transaction in the calculated banknote number. The number of banknotes stored in the unit 10 can be added to calculate the number of banknotes actually stored in the reject banknote storage unit 10 at the present time.

In addition, when the staff member performs the input operation for starting the recovery operation, the control unit 13 prints the receipt after the recovery operation.
Here, FIG. 9 is an explanatory view showing a receipt on which the number of banknotes stored in each part is printed after the restoration operation.
As shown in FIG. 9, the control unit 13 stores each of the storages 8 a to 8 d stored in the storage unit 14, the reject banknote storage unit 10, the banknote storage unit 12, and the like based on the number of banknotes. The receipt printed with the content indicating the number of bills being printed is printed by the printing unit 17 and issued.

The clerk can perform a matching check with the banknote in the automatic transaction apparatus 1 from the contents of the issued receipt.
The control unit 13 restarts the dispensing of banknotes for the amount of money to be withdrawn from the storage 8a after the recovery operation, thereby performing the withdrawal process as usual and ends the withdrawal transaction process.
As described above, in the present embodiment, when the conveyance jam occurs during the transaction, the number of banknotes removed and stored by the attendant is calculated, so that the banknotes are actually stored in the banknote storage unit or the reject banknote storage unit. Therefore, the number of banknotes actually stored in the automatic transaction apparatus can always be counted.

In addition, in the said Example 1, although the case where the site | part which handles the banknote of an automatic transaction apparatus was used was demonstrated to the example, even if it applies when using the site | part which handles a coin, it will acquire the same effect.
