Abstract
Description
【0001】

When the old banknote is returned, the customer inserts a new banknote in possession.
The other operations are the same as those in the above-described new banknote mass mode, and the description thereof will be omitted.
[0049]
As described above, the new banknote mode is a useful banknote operation mode after the end of the period in which the transition to the new banknote is almost completed, and if the old banknote is to be deposited, the operation is not hindered even if the old banknote is returned without being accepted. .
The switching of each of the above-mentioned bill operation modes is performed by a staff member in accordance with the circulation ratio between the new bill and the old bill at each of the introduction period, the replacement period, the late period, and the end period when shifting from the old bill to the new bill. 12 to select an appropriate bill operation mode.
[0050]
Here, the operation of switching the bill operation mode will be described by taking as an example the switching from the new and old bill mixed mode to the new bill small amount mode.
The

The same applies to the case of switching to another bill operation mode. In this case, for example, when switching is possible without changing the setting of the denomination deposit / withdrawal safe 24, for example, switching from the new banknote mass mode to the new banknote mode, the banknote using the replenishment and
[0065]
As described above, in the present embodiment, it is possible to discriminate between a new bill and an old bill by the discriminating unit to enable transactions by using new and old bills in parallel, and to switch the bill operation mode according to the circulation ratio of the new bill. By doing so, it is not necessary to make a major remodeling of the automatic transaction apparatus, it is possible to easily adapt to the environment in which the old bill and the new bill are used in parallel, and the transition to the new bill can be performed smoothly. It is possible to quickly respond to new bills.
[0066]
In addition, new and old banknotes of the same denomination are stored in the same denomination deposit / withdrawal safe, which eliminates the need for additional denomination / receipt vaults and prevents the automatic transaction equipment from becoming larger. Can be simplified.
Also, a new and old bill mixed mode, a new bill small amount mode, a new bill large amount mode and a bill operation mode including a new bill mode are provided, and by selecting and setting this according to the circulation ratio of the new bill, the old bill is set. It is possible to take an appropriate operation form according to each time when shifting from a banknote to a new banknote, and it is possible to perform transactions by using new and old banknotes in parallel according to the demands of financial institutions and customers.
[0067]
Further, the bill operation mode is switched and displayed on the attendant operation unit so as to be selectable, so that the bill operation mode can be switched immediately and the burden on the attendant can be reduced.
Second embodiment
FIG. 13 is a flowchart showing the banknote operation mode switching process of the second embodiment, and FIG. 14 is a banknote operation mode switching determination criterion of the second embodiment.

[0071]
In FIG. 14, the banknote operation mode switching determination criterion is a new banknote deposit ratio as an index for representing the distribution ratio of new banknotes and a new banknote as an index for representing the supply ratio of new banknotes to financial institutions or the like. Based on the storage ratio, a combination of reference values of the respective indexes corresponding to the respective bill operation modes is set and created.
[0072]
Note that the new banknote deposit ratio in the new and old banknote mixed mode does not have a specific reference value because the distribution ratio of new banknotes does not usually exceed the supply ratio of new banknotes to financial institutions. In this case, the reference value may be a value substantially equal to the new bill storage ratio.
[0073]
Further, each reference value is not limited to the reference value illustrated in FIG. 14, but is desirably set in accordance with the actual situation of a financial institution or the like operating the bill operation mode of the present embodiment.
Further, the index for representing the distribution ratio and the supply ratio of the new banknote is not limited to the new banknote deposit ratio and the new banknote storage ratio exemplified above, but may be the country or region where the banknote operation mode of the present embodiment is operated. It is desirable to set the index according to the environment.
[0074]
The operation of the above configuration will be described.

[0104]
Although the banknote operation mode has been described as being operated in such a manner that the banknotes are operated alternately according to the distribution ratio of new banknotes, etc., the operation may be such that once switched, the operation may not be restored. May be set and operated separately.
Further, it has been described that the calculation of the new banknote deposit ratio and the new banknote storage ratio and the determination of the switching of the banknote operation mode are performed every day, but may be performed every week, every month, or every predetermined time. You may.
[0105]
Further, the calculation of the new banknote storage ratio has been described as calculating the ratio of the banknotes remaining in the denomination deposit /
As described above, in this embodiment, in addition to the effects of the first embodiment, the automatic transaction device automatically switches the banknote operation mode based on the banknote operation mode switching determination criterion. And the burden of monitoring the distribution ratio of new bills can be reduced.
[0106]
In addition, since the automatic transaction device automatically switches the banknote operation mode, when the distribution ratio of new banknotes is unevenly distributed in a region, it is possible to correct regional disparity, and the new banknotes in that region can be corrected. It is possible to operate the automatic transaction apparatus according to the distribution ratio.
[0107]
Furthermore, by changing the operation mode of the banknotes with hysteresis and changing them, it is possible to prevent confusion of customers and clerks due to the frequent switching of the banknote operation modes in the short term, and to avoid unnecessary confusion. Prevention beforehand and stable operation of the automatic transaction apparatus can be achieved.
[0108]
It should be noted that new banknote information such as the new banknote deposit ratio and the new banknote storage ratio shown in the second embodiment is transmitted to the monitoring information terminal so as to be centrally managed, and the monitoring information terminal performs regional management based on the new banknote information. It is also possible to judge the overall situation, to instruct the automatic transaction apparatus to switch the banknote operation mode, and to have the automatic transaction apparatus perform the operation of changing the denomination such as the denomination-type deposit / exit safe shown in the second embodiment. Good.
[0109]
This can prevent a different operation for each store or each automatic transaction apparatus, and is particularly effective for setting the banknote operation mode after the late period.
The setting of the banknote operation mode is performed by using a part or all of the setting by the staff in the first embodiment, the automatic setting by the automatic transaction device in the second embodiment, and the setting by the monitoring information terminal in combination. However, this does not impair the effects of the present invention.
[0110]
Third embodiment
It is necessary to promote the circulation of new banknotes at the same time as in the new and old banknote mixed mode of the first embodiment, that is, at the introduction period when there are relatively many old banknotes in circulation, at the request of the government or the like. In such a case, a description will be given of one mode of the new and old banknote mixed mode in which a new banknote is paid out with priority at the time of payment.
[0111]
FIG. 15 is a block diagram showing a main configuration of the automatic transaction apparatus according to the third embodiment.
The same parts as those in the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals, and description thereof will be omitted. In FIG. 15,
[0112]
The operation of the above configuration will be described.
The operation of this embodiment is basically the same as the operation of the new and old banknote mixed mode of the first embodiment, but when a customer demands money, change, or the like is to be paid out, the new banknote is paid out with priority. For this purpose, the following operation is performed.
