Abstract
【解決手段】推進システムのためのシステムは、電動機と、該電動機に主パワーを供給するように構成されたエネルギー蓄積ユニットと、電動機とエネルギー蓄積ユニットのうちの少なくとも一方に副次的パワーを供給するように構成された複数の補助パワーユニット(APU)を含む。複数のAPUの各々は、機械的出力を発生させるように構成された1つのフリーピストンエンジンと、該機械的出力を電気的パワーに変換するように構成された1つのリニア発電機と、1つの制御器と、を含む。この制御器は、電動機及び/またはエネルギー蓄積ユニットからパワーコマンドを受け取り、該パワーコマンドを満たすのに要する副次的パワー量を決定し、かつ該副次的パワーの必要量を発生させるように複数のAPUのうちの幾つかを選択的に起動する。

Claims (10)
- 電動機(72)と、
前記電動機(72)に主パワーを供給するように構成されたエネルギー蓄積ユニット(70)と、
前記電動機(72)とエネルギー蓄積ユニット(70)の少なくとも一方に副次的パワーを供給するように構成された複数の補助パワーユニット(APU)(10、12、74、78、80、82、84)と、を備える推進システム(68)であって、
該複数のAPU(10、12、74、78、80、82、84)の各々は、
機械的出力を発生させるように構成されたフリーピストンエンジン(14)と、
前記機械的出力を電気的パワーに変換するように構成されたリニア発電機(42)と、
制御器(86)であって、
電動機(72)とエネルギー蓄積ユニット(70)の前記少なくとも一方からパワーコマンドを受け取ること、
前記パワーコマンドを満たすのに必要な副次的パワーの量を決定すること、
前記必要な副次的パワー量を発生させるように前記複数のAPU(10、12、74、78、80、82、84)のうちの幾つかを選択的に起動すること、
を行うように構成された制御器(86)と、
を備えている、推進システム(68)。 - 前記電動機(72)とエネルギー蓄積ユニット(70)とをこれらの間でパワーが分配されるように電気的に接続するDCリンク(102)をさらに備えており、
複数のAPU(10、12、74、78、80、82、84)により供給される前記副次的パワー(116)は前記エネルギー蓄積ユニット(70)、電動機(72)及び補助負荷のうちの少なくとも1つに分配させるようにDCリンク(102)に供給される、請求項1に記載の推進システム(68)。 - 前記フリーピストンエンジン(14)は駆動アセンブリを有する内燃エンジンを含む、請求項1に記載の推進システム(68)。
- 前記駆動アセンブリは、
ロッド(24、48)と、
前記ロッド(24、48)の第1の端部に結合された第1のピストン(18)と、
前記ロッド(24、48)の第2の端部に結合された復帰用スプリング(20)と第2のピストン(44)のうちの一方と、
を備える、請求項3に記載の推進システム。 - 前記制御器(86)は、前記必要な副次的パワー量に基づいて前記複数のAPU(10、12、74、78、80、82、84)の各々をオン条件とオフ条件の一方の条件で個別に動作させるように構成されている、請求項1に記載の推進システム(68)。
- 前記制御器(86)は、オン条件にある前記複数のAPU(10、12、74、78、80、82、84)の各々を最小効率しきい値を超えて動作させるように構成されている、請求項5に記載の推進システム(68)。
- 前記制御器(86)は、オン条件にある複数のAPU(10、12、74、78、80、82、84)の各々の動作効率を変更するための遷移方針を決定するように構成されている、請求項6に記載の推進システム(68)。
- 前記複数のAPU(10、12、74、78、80、82、84)の各々は副次的パワーをある割合で発生させるように構成されている、請求項1に記載の推進システム(68)。
- 前記制御器(86)は、電動機(72)の瞬時的パワー要件とエネルギー蓄積デバイス(70)向けの再充電コマンドのうちの一方を受け取るように構成されている、請求項1に記載の推進システム(68)。
- 前記複数のAPU(10、12、74、78、80、82、84)の各々はさらに、フリーピストンエンジン(14)の点火を制御するように構成された少なくとも1つの燃料インジェクタ(30)を備えており、
前記制御器(86)は、選択的に起動させた複数のAPU(10、12、74、78、80、82、84)の各々の少なくとも1つの燃料インジェクタ(30)の点火シーケンスを調節し、選択的に起動させた複数のAPU(10、12、74、78、80、82、84)のノイズ及び振動出力と該推進システム(68)の動作効率との少なくとも一方を選択的に管理するように構成されている、請求項1に記載の推進システム(68)。
