Abstract
【解決手段】多数の画素を具備する基板151と、基板151上に形成された第1画素電極155と、第1画素電極155上にスリット形状で形成された第2画素電極157と、第2画素電極157上に配置された電気泳動フィルム130とを含み、第2画素電極157は、複数のサブ画素毎に相違したスリット幅を有する。

Description
図2は、本発明の実施の形態1による電気泳動表示装置の構成を概略的に示した図面であり、図3は、図2の電気泳動表示パネル内の1つの画素を概略的に示した断面図である。
Claims (8)
- 多数の画素を具備する基板と、
前記基板上に形成された第1画素電極と、
前記第1画素電極上にスリット形状で形成された第2画素電極と、
前記第2画素電極上に配置された電気泳動フィルムと、を備え、
前記第2画素電極は、複数のサブ画素毎に相違したスリット幅を有することを特徴とする電気泳動表示装置。 - 前記第2画素電極のスリット幅は、青色サブ画素よりも緑色サブ画素で大きく、緑色サブ画素よりも赤色サブ画素で大きいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電気泳動表示装置。
- 前記第1画素電極にドレーン電極が接続された第1トランジスタと、前記第2画素電極にドレーン電極が接続された第2トランジスタと、をさらに備えたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電気泳動表示装置。
- 前記第2画素電極には、一定のパルス幅を有する正極性または負極性電圧が供給されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電気泳動表示装置。
- 前記第1画素電極には、パルス幅変調された正極性電圧、負極性電圧及び基準電圧が供給されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電気泳動表示装置。
- 前記電気泳動フィルム上に設けられ、共通電極が形成された絶縁フィルムをさらに備えたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電気泳動表示装置。
- 前記絶縁フィルム上に設けられ、光の経路を変更して視野角を広げる光補正フィルムをさらに備えたことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の電気泳動表示装置。
- 前記光補正フィルムの表面には、エンボス(embossed)パターンが形成されていることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の電気泳動表示装置。
