Description
Claims (22)
- 電気装置(29)を、燃料(ディーゼル/ガソリン)及び水の様な有害な流体の浸透に対して防護する方法であって、前記電気装置(29)を形状記憶金属材料(46)でカプセル封入する段階を含んでいる、方法。
- 前記形状記憶金属材料(46)を、カプセル封入前に前記電気装置(29)の外径と実質的に同様な内径を有する管として形成する段階を含んでいる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記形状記憶金属材料(46)を、要求される寸法に機械加工する段階を含んでいる、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記形状記憶金属材料(46)を、壁肉厚約1mm以下に機械加工する段階を含んでいる、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記形状記憶金属材料(46)を、壁肉厚約200から500ミクロンに機械加工する段階を含んでいる、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記形状記憶金属管(46)を、その変態温度より低い温度で、内径が前記電気装置(29)より大きくなるように変形させる段階と、前記変形した管(46)を前記電気装置(29)に外挿して設置する段階と、次いで、前記管(46)をその変態温度より高い温度に加熱して、前記管(46)がその元の形状に戻り、前記電気装置(29)をカプセル封入するようにする段階と、を含んでいる、請求項2から5の何れかに記載の方法。
- 前記管(46)を、マンドレルの周りに延ばす段階を含んでいる、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記管(46)を、前記電気装置(29)に外挿して設置する前に、約4%延ばす段階を含んでいる、請求項6又は7に記載の方法。
- 燃料噴射系に使用する圧電アクチュエータ(29)をカプセル封入する段階を含んでいる、上記請求項の何れかに記載の方法。
- 前記圧電アクチュエータ(29)は不動態化され、前記方法は、前記圧電アクチュエータ(29)を前記形状記憶金属材料(46)でカプセル封入して、前記不動態化物(38)を隔離する段階を含んでいる、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記形状記憶金属材料(46)を、カプセル封入後に前記不動態化物(38)に実質的に応力を生じさせない形状に製造する段階を含んでいる、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記形状記憶金属材料(46)を、前記形状記憶金属材料(46)と前記不動態化物(38)の間の差異が約0.5mm以下になるように製造する段階を含んでいる、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記圧電アクチュエータ(29)は、電気的接続を提供し及び/又は前記燃料噴射器本体をシールするために、エンドピース(42、44)に接続されており、前記方法は、前記形状記憶金属材料(46)を前記エンドピース(42、44)にシールする段階を含んでいる、請求項9から12の何れかに記載の方法。
- 前記エンドピースと前記形状記憶金属材料(46)の間にシーラントを塗布する段階を含んでいる、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 電気装置(29)をカプセル封入して燃料(ディーゼル/ガソリン)及び水の様な有害な流体の浸透に対して防護するために、請求項1において前記形状記憶金属材料(46)を使用すること。
- 前記形状記憶金属材料(46)は形状記憶金属合金である、請求項15に記載の使用。
- 前記形状記憶金属材料(46)は、NITINOL(商標)の様なニッケルチタン合金である、請求項16に記載の使用。
- 圧電アクチュエータ(29)をカプセル封入するための、請求項15から17の何れかに記載の使用。
- 不動態化された圧電アクチュエータ(29)をカプセル封入するための、請求項18に記載の使用。
- 燃料(ディーゼル/ガソリン)及び水の様な有害な流体の浸透に対して防護するために、形状記憶金属材料(46)でカプセル封入されている、圧電アクチュエータの様な電気装置(29)。
- 請求項20に記載の電気装置(29)を組み込んでいる燃料噴射器。
- 前記電気装置(29)は、圧電アクチュエータであり、請求項2から14の何れかに記載の方法を使ってカプセル封入されている、請求項21に記載の燃料噴射器。
