Abstract
Description
− 液晶ディスプレイに適用されるビデオ情報信号にしたがってスキャンバックライトの光源の行を変調する段階と、
− 各々の列ドライババンクについて光源の少なくとも2つの列を同時に駆動する段階と、
を有する、駆動方法に関する。
行1は、第1ライン時間の間、オンにされ、4つのライン時間の間、オンのまま維持される。
行2は、第2ライン時間の間、オンにされ、4つのライン時間の間、オンのまま維持される。
行3は、第3ライン時間の間、オンにされ、4つのライン時間の間、オンのまま維持される。
行4は、第4ライン時間の間、オンにされ、4つのライン時間の間、オンのまま維持される。
行5は、行1がオフにされ、4つのライン時間の間、オンのまま維持された後に、第5ライン時間の間、オンにされる。
行6は、行2がオフにされ、4つのライン時間の間、オンのまま維持された後に、第6ライン時間の間、オンにされる。
行7は、行3がオフにされ、4つのライン時間の間、オンのまま維持された後に、第7ライン時間の間、オンにされる。
行8は、行4がオフにされ、4つのライン時間の間、オンのまま維持された後に、第8ライン時間の間、オンにされる。
Claims (8)
- 光源の行及び光源の列に配列された複数の光源と、前記の光源の行を駆動する少なくとも1つの行ドライバ及び前記の光源の列を駆動する少なくとも2つの列ドライババンクを有するバックライトドライバと、を有する液晶パネルを照明するスキャンバックライトであって、各々の列ドライババンクは前記の光源の列の少なくとも2つを同時に駆動する、ことを特徴とするスキャンバックライト。
- 請求項1に記載のスキャンバックライトであって、前記バックライトドライバは、照明強度を局所的に個別化するように各々の光源を別個に駆動する個別化バックライトドライバを更に有する、ことを特徴とするスキャンバックライト。
- 請求項2に記載のスキャンバックライトであって、前記個別化バックライトドライバはドライババンクタイマータイマーを有する、ことを特徴とするスキャンバックライト。
- 請求項1乃至3の何れか一項に記載のスキャンバックライトであって、前記光源は無機LED、有機LED又はレーザダイオードである、ことを特徴とするスキャンバックライト。
- 液晶ディスプレイパネルと、請求項1に記載のスキャンバックライトとを有することを特徴とする液晶ディスプレイ。
- 請求項5に記載の液晶ディスプレイパネルであって、前記スキャンバックライトは前記液晶ディスプレイから取り外し可能である、ことを特徴とする液晶ディスプレイ。
- 請求項5又は6に記載の液晶ディスプレイパネルであって、前記スキャンバックライトは前記液晶ディスプレイパネルに適用されるビデオ情報信号にしたがって変調される、ことを特徴とする液晶ディスプレイ。
- 請求項1に記載のスキャンバックライトを駆動する駆動方法であって:
液晶ディスプレイに適用されるビデオ情報信号にしたがって前記スキャンバックライトの光源の行を変調する段階;及び
各々の列ドライババンクについて光源の少なくとも2つの列を駆動する段階;
を有する駆動方法。
