<3>木製や軽量鉄骨等のユニット住宅の場合、使用するユニットによって杭の位置が常に決まっているが、ユニットを用いて住宅を構築する度に芯出しのために測量を行う必要がある。

芯出し具10には打設孔11の配置の異なる複数種類の芯出し具10a、10b、10cがあり、構造物に用いるユニットによって決まる支持杭20の打設位置に合わせて、複数種類を連結して用いることができる。(図2)
芯出し具10aと10bとが直角に交わるように組み合わせて用いる際には、凸部12と凹部13は、どちらか一方を芯出し具10の幅方向に形成する。

いずれかの基準点から測量することなく、芯出し具10を組み合わせるだけで支持杭20の打設位置が決まるため、芯出しが容易に行うことができる。

また、支持杭20は打設孔11を基準として打設することができるため、支持杭20の位置ずれや、打設途中での芯ずれを防止することができる。
