Description

The present invention relates to a vehicular lamp.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a so-called daytime running lamp is known as a vehicular lamp that is different from a headlamp for always lighting in the daytime.

As a vehicular lamp provided with such a daytime running lamp, there is known a vehicular lamp provided as one of lamps (sub lamps) different from a main lamp (head lamp) (for example, see Patent Document 1).
JP 2005-88856 A

However, the vehicular lamp provided with these conventional daytime running lamps has the following problems.

That is, when a daytime running lamp is provided as a separate lamp at a position away from the headlamp as in the case of a conventional vehicle lamp, a limited space given as a lamp arrangement space in the vehicle is used. It was difficult to place.

Specifically, if daytime running lamps are required to be installed in the future, there will be a space to install a movable lamp for the AFS (Adaptive Front-Lighting System), and the headlamp will be used as a running beam. It is expected that it will be difficult to use a four-lamp headlight that is divided into two types of light distribution.

In particular, in vehicles supplied to countries all over the world, when the housing and appearance (extensions, etc.) of the vehicular lamp are used as common parts, it is necessary to set the lamp mounting location in advance according to the required lamp. As a result, if the daytime running lamp becomes mandatory, the space problem is expected to become more prominent.

The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and the present invention provides a vehicular lamp capable of arranging various lamps including a daytime running lamp by effectively utilizing a limited lamp arrangement space. The issue is to provide.

In order to solve the above problems, the present invention has the following means.
That is, the vehicular lamp of the present invention is a vehicular lamp that includes a projection-type headlamp that includes a projection lens, and an ambient lamp chamber that is provided so as to surround the periphery of the projection lens surface. Includes a light incident part having a flat surface and a light exit part, and the ambient light chamber reflects at least one light source provided at a position facing the light incident part and reflects light from the light source. And a complex reflecting mirror having a rotating paraboloidal reflecting surface that enters a projection lens from the light portion and forms a substantially parallel light beam toward the light emitting portion, and a light emitting portion side reflecting surface.

In the present invention, for example, a lamp functioning as a daytime running lamp or a vehicle width lamp is arranged around a headlamp that could not be used effectively in the past, and enters the projection lens of the headlamp from the side of the lens. The light is guided toward the other side, and this light is also used to irradiate a predetermined direction such as the front of the vehicle.

Thereby, this invention can provide the vehicle lamp which can arrange | position the various lamps containing a daytime running lamp, utilizing the limited lamp arrangement space effectively.

Preferably, the projection lens is provided with a reflection light incident part between the light incident part and the light emission part, and the light source is disposed at a position facing both the light incident part and the reflection light incident part. It is a vehicular lamp.
As a result, the present invention can efficiently provide light from the light source also to the position between the light incident portion and the light exit portion, and can irradiate the headlamp so as to further surround it. .

More preferably, the ambient lamp chamber further includes a light source vicinity reflecting surface having the rotating paraboloidal reflecting surface, a light emitting side reflecting surface, and a narrow portion between the light emitting side reflecting surface and the light emitting side reflecting surface. A vehicular lamp that does not have a light source on the surface can be provided. .
As a result, the present invention can efficiently provide a novel appearance that has never been achieved by using light that could not be used effectively.

According to the vehicular lamp of the present invention, it is possible to provide a vehicular lamp capable of arranging various lamps including a daytime running lamp by effectively using a limited lamp arrangement space. obtain.

Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[First embodiment]
FIG. 1 is a view of the vehicular lamp according to the first embodiment of the present invention as seen from the front direction (direction facing the irradiation direction of the lamp). FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of the vehicular lamp of FIG.

A vehicular lamp 1 according to the present embodiment and a headlamp 10 that forms a traveling beam or a passing beam in a housing 2 that is open to the front, and always emits light to ensure visibility from other vehicles. A daytime running lamp 20 and an ambient light emitting unit 30 provided around the lens surface on the vehicle side surface of the headlamp 10 are assembled. A translucent outer cover 3 is attached to the opening of the housing 2 via a hot melt adhesive or the like around the periphery of the opening. The outer cover 3 has a shape suitable for the design of the vehicle, and is provided with a lens cut at a part thereof.

The headlamp 10 uses a projector-type headlamp in the present embodiment. The headlamp 10 includes, for example, a light source 11 such as an HID, a halogen bulb, or an LED, an elliptical reflecting mirror 12 having an elliptical reflecting surface that reflects light from the light source 11 near the first focal point to a second focal point, an elliptical system The projection lens 13 is a convex lens that projects light from the reflecting surface 12.

The projection lens 13 includes a light incident portion 14 that passes a part of light from a light source 21 of a date timing lamp 20 described later, and a light exit portion 15 that emits light incident on the light incident portion 14 to the outside of the projection lens 13. It is provided on the side surface of the lens and is fixed to the headlamp 10 by a peripheral flange portion 17.
The light incident part 14 is a plane obtained by cutting a part of the convex lens along a plane substantially parallel to the optical axis of the headlamp 10. Similarly, the light exiting portion 15 has a cylindrical surface shape having a surface substantially parallel to the optical axis of the headlamp 10. As a result, light L1 described later can be efficiently extracted from the projection lens 13. Further, between the light incident portion 14 and the light exiting portion 15, a reflection light incident portion 16 that forms a plane substantially parallel to the optical axis of the headlamp 10 is also formed.

The daytime running lamp 20 forms a lamp chamber at a position adjacent to the projection lens 13 of the headlamp 10, is disposed so as to surround the projection lens 13, and includes a light source 21, a reflecting mirror 22, and an inner lens 23. The light source 21 is provided with a light source such as an HID, a halogen bulb or an LED in a light source mounting hole of the reflecting mirror 22 at a position facing the light incident portion 14 of the projection lens 13. The reflecting mirror 22 is a composite reflecting mirror that includes a reflecting surface that reflects light from the light source 21 and reflects it in a predetermined lamp illumination direction (front of the vehicle), a reflecting surface that reflects toward the projection lens 13, and the like. It is integrally formed. Thereby, direct light and reflected light from the light source 21 can be guided to the light output part 15 side of the projection lens 13 with low loss. Further, the inner lens 23 may be provided with a lens cut that forms a predetermined light distribution to improve the irradiation characteristics or the visibility.

When the light source 21 emits light, the direct light and the reflected light from the reflecting mirror 22 pass through the inner lens 23 and the outer cover 3 and are irradiated in a predetermined lighting direction of the lamp (front of the vehicle). At this time, a part of the light enters the light incident portion 14 of the projection lens 13 and travels toward a position opposite to the position where the light source 21 is provided, and the L1 light exits through the projection lens 13. The light exits from the unit 15, reaches the light output side reflecting surface 24 of the reflecting mirror 22, and irradiates in a predetermined lighting direction of the lamp (front of the vehicle).

The other part of the light becomes the light L <b> 2 that travels toward the reflection light incident portion 16 of the projection lens 13. The incident angle of the light L2 with respect to the reflection light incident portion 16 is set so as to be in the vicinity of the critical angle or more. In this way, the light reflected by the reflection light incident part 16 due to the refractive index difference reaches an oblique direction from the position where the light source 21 of the projection lens 13 is provided, that is, the narrow part 25 in FIG. Irradiate the irradiation direction (front of the vehicle) of the lamp.

Further, another part of the light is reflected by the reflection surface 26 in the vicinity of the light source 21, passes through the inner lens 23 and the outer cover 3, and irradiates a predetermined illumination direction of the lamp (front of the vehicle). To do. A rotating paraboloidal reflecting surface with the position of the light source 22 as a focal position is provided at a predetermined position of the light source vicinity reflecting surface 26 as a reflecting surface that reflects toward the light incident portion 14, and is parallel to the light emitting portion 14 side. When light is formed, the utilization efficiency of light source light can be increased. Note that the parallel light means parallel to the flat portion of the convex lens 13 as shown in FIG. 2, and does not describe the case of viewing from the front direction of the vehicular lamp 1.
The light reflecting side reflection surface 24, the narrow portion 25, and the light source vicinity reflection surface 26 are preferably formed integrally with the reflection mirror 22.

The ambient light emitting unit 30 is provided outside the daytime running lamp 20 so as to be located from the side surface of the vehicle to the lower side of the headlamp 10. The ambient light emitting unit 30 includes a light source 31, a reflecting mirror 32 having a reflecting surface 32a and a standing wall 32b for reflecting light from the light source 31, and an inner lens provided with a lens cut that covers the reflecting mirror 32 and forms a predetermined light distribution. 33.
When the light source 21 emits light, the direct light and the reflected light from the reflecting surface 31 are transmitted through the inner lens 33 and the outer cover 3 and irradiated in an irradiation direction suitable for light distribution as a predetermined vehicle width lamp. Is done. Thereby, the surrounding light emission part 30 functions as a vehicle width lamp, and can improve visibility from other vehicles.

In the present embodiment, the daytime running lamp 20 is disposed around the headlamp 10, but this portion can also be used as a vehicle width lamp or a position lamp. Further, although the ambient light emitting unit 30 is disposed around the daytime running lamp 10, it is also possible to use this part as a daytime running lamp or as a turn lamp.

With the configuration as described above, the vehicular lamp 1 can integrally arrange the headlamp and the daytime running lamp in a limited lamp arrangement space in the vehicle. For this reason, in the vehicular lamp 1, for example, a lamp capable of forming a variable light distribution for AFS in a space (not shown), or the headlamp 10 as a lamp having only a traveling beam or a passing beam is used for the other light distribution. It is possible to arrange a headlamp of 4 lamps by arranging the headlamp.

[Second Embodiment]
A second embodiment of the present invention will be described. In addition, about 2nd embodiment, only a different location from the above-mentioned 1st embodiment is demonstrated.

FIG. 3 is a front view of the vehicular lamp 40 according to the second embodiment. In the vehicular lamp 1 according to the first embodiment, the light source 21 of the daytime running lamp 20 is extended only at one position so as to face the light incident portion 14, whereas the vehicular lamp 1 according to the second embodiment. In the lamp 2, the positions of the light source 21a and the light source 21b are located at positions facing the light incident portion 14 and the reflected light incident portion 16, that is, at positions facing the apexes that are intersections of the respective planes of the light incident portion 14 and the reflected light incident portion 16. Two places are provided.

By configuring as described above, the vehicular lamp 40 efficiently reflects the light from the light sources 21a and 21b of the daytime running lamp 20 as compared with the vehicular lamp 1 according to the first embodiment. Can be spread and more uniform light emission can be achieved.

The vehicular lamp of the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment. For example, a desired light distribution can be achieved only by a reflecting surface without an inner lens, and the scope of the present invention is not deviated. Of course, various changes can be made.
