Description
以上のように、本実験例により、後述する実施例において使用する枯草菌168株とMGB874株について、蛍光顕微鏡観察によりCTFに由来する赤色蛍光性沈殿を検出することで、測定対象の細胞における呼吸活性の有無及び呼吸活性の持続性を評価した。その結果、MGB874株は、枯草菌168株と比較して優れた呼吸活性の持続性を有しており、枯草菌168株と比較して長寿命であることが判った。また、本実験例では、CTCを用いた染色の後に蛍光顕微鏡によってCTFに由来する赤色蛍光性沈殿を検出したが、実験およびデータの解析には16サンプルにつき少なくとも48時間かかった。
