【解決手段】主映像を表すIピクチャが、同時に表示される副映像を表すIピクチャよりも前方に配される記録媒体を再生する再生方法において、指定された表示開始時点に対応する映像ブロックのIピクチャの位置およびIピクチャのサイズ情報を、記録媒体に記録されたアクセスポイントマップの情報に基づいて作成されるテーブルを参照して求め、当該Iピクチャのサイズ情報に基づいて、Iピクチャを含むパケット数を読み込み、当該Iピクチャを復号化して他のPまたはBピクチャを復号化する。

Description
I,P,Bピクチャからなる映像情報ブロックを構成単位とする映像ストリームが記録された映像情報記録媒体であって、前記映像ストリームとして、主映像を表す第1の映像ストリーム、および前記主映像に重畳表示される副映像を表す第2の映像ストリームと、前記第1の映像ストリームおよび前記第2の映像ストリームを構成する映像情報ブロックの先頭に位置するIピクチャのPTSに基づいて当該Iピクチャの記録媒体における位置を特定するアクセスポイントマップと、を備え、前記アクセスポイントマップは、前記第1および前記第2の映像ストリームをそれぞれ構成する映像情報ブロックのIピクチャのサイズ情報を含み、前記主映像を表すIピクチャが、同時に表示される前記副映像を表すIピクチャよりも前方に配される映像情報記録媒体を再生する映像情報再生方法において、
指定された表示開始時点から前記主映像に前記副映像を重畳して表示する場合、前記第1および第2の映像ストリームにおける、前記指定された表示開始時点に対応する前記映像ブロックのIピクチャの位置およびIピクチャのサイズ情報を、前記映像情報記録媒体に記録された前記アクセスポイントマップの情報に基づいて作成されるテーブルを参照して求め、当該Iピクチャのサイズ情報に基づいて、Iピクチャを含むパケット数を読み込み、当該Iピクチャを復号化して他のPまたはBピクチャを復号化することを特徴とする。
図1は、実施の形態1における光ディスク102のデータ構造を説明するための説明図である。当該光ディスク102は、内周側201から外周側202へとデータが記録される。光ディスクの最内周には、当該光ディスク102の開始情報や物理特性等が記録されるリードイン領域210が配置される。光ディスク102におけるリードイン領域210の外周側には、当該光ディスク102に対応するファイルシステムの情報(以下、ファイルシステム情報ともいう)が記録されるファイル管理情報領域211が配置される。また、光ディスク102におけるファイル管理情報領域211の外周側には、製造者(コンテンツ供給元)が、コンテンツに対応するデータ(TS等)を記録するユーザーデータ領域212が配置される。そして、光ディスク102におけるユーザーデータ領域212の外周側には、当該光ディスク102の終端位置に関する情報が記録されたリードアウト領域213が配置される。
5(パケット)×188(バイト)=940(バイト)
となる(ただし、「×」は乗算記号)。以上に説明した「PTS_GOP_Start」501および「SPN_GOP_Start」502を参照することによって、前記再生装置において特殊再生またはタイムサーチを行なう際に必要なIピクチャの開始位置の検出(頭出し)を行なうことができる。
各パケットは、図3に示されるヘッダ情報401と同様のヘッダ情報を備え、その図3に示されるID402と同様のIDとして、映像が音声かを示すのみならず、主映像か副映像かを示すものを含むものが含まれている。
また、V_mainパケットとV_subパケットはPTSが同一の値であり、V_subパケットがV_mainよりも後に配置されている。

の情報量が必要となる。したがって、PIPストリームに2つのビデオストリームが多重化された場合において、各ビデオストリームについて別個にアクセスポイント管理テーブルを設けると、
1.38[MB]×2[映像データ]=2.76MB
の情報量が必要となる。
実施の形態1においては、アクセスポイント先頭を始点とした相対的なパケット数を「I_Pic_Size」503に記述し、「I_Pic_Size」503に対応するパケットの直後のパケットを始点とした相対的なパケット数を「I_Pic_Size_Sub」1200に記述する場合について説明した。実施の形態2においては、「I_Pic_Size」503および「I_Pic_Size_Sub」1200に記述する情報が実施の形態1とは異なる。なお、以下の説明においては、実施の形態1において説明した事項については説明を省略する。
実施の形態1では、PIP表示(図10(B)または(C))を行なっている際に特殊再生を行なうべく、主映像に対応するV_mainパケットおよび副映像に対応するV_subパケットを検出する場合について説明した。以下、実施の形態3においては、副映像のみを表示(図10(D))するべく、副映像に対応するV_subパケットのみを検出する場合について説明する。なお、以下の説明においては、実施の形態1または2において説明した事項については説明を省略する。また、当該事項については、以下の説明において引用する図面において実施の形態1または2において引用した図面における符号と同一の符号を付す。
実施の形態3においては、「I_Pic_Size」503、「I_Pic_Size_Sub」1200および「I_Start_Sub」1600に実際のパケット数を記述する場合について説明したが、当該実施の形態3において説明した場合においても、実施の形態2において説明したようにIピクチャサイズテーブル1500を使用することができる。以下、具体的に説明する。なお、以下の説明においては、実施の形態1〜3において説明した事項については説明を省略する。

- I,P,Bピクチャからなる映像情報ブロックを構成単位とする映像ストリームが記録された映像情報記録媒体であって、前記映像ストリームとして、主映像を表す第1の映像ストリーム、および前記主映像に重畳表示される副映像を表す第2の映像ストリームと、前記第1の映像ストリームおよび前記第2の映像ストリームを構成する映像情報ブロックの先頭に位置するIピクチャのPTSに基づいて当該Iピクチャの記録媒体における位置を特定するアクセスポイントマップと、を備え、前記アクセスポイントマップは、前記第1および前記第2の映像ストリームをそれぞれ構成する映像情報ブロックのIピクチャのサイズ情報を含み、前記主映像を表すIピクチャが、同時に表示される前記副映像を表すIピクチャよりも前方に配される映像情報記録媒体を再生する映像情報再生方法において、
指定された表示開始時点から前記主映像に前記副映像を重畳して表示する場合、前記第1および第2の映像ストリームにおける、前記指定された表示開始時点に対応する前記映像ブロックのIピクチャの位置およびIピクチャのサイズ情報を、前記映像情報記録媒体に記録された前記アクセスポイントマップの情報に基づいて作成されるテーブルを参照して求め、当該Iピクチャのサイズ情報に基づいて、Iピクチャを含むパケット数を読み込み、当該Iピクチャを復号化して他のPまたはBピクチャを復号化することを特徴とする映像情報再生方法。 - 前記アクセスポイントマップにおいて、前記主映像を表すIピクチャのPTSと、当該主映像を表すIピクチャと同時に表示される副映像のIピクチャのPTSの値を同一の値とすることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の映像情報再生方法。
- I,P,Bピクチャからなる複数の映像情報ブロックを構成単位とする映像ストリームが記録された映像情報記録媒体であって、前記映像ストリームとして、主映像を表す第1の映像ストリーム、および前記主映像に重畳表示される副映像を表す第2の映像ストリームと、前記第1の映像ストリームおよび前記第2の映像ストリームを構成する映像情報ブロックの先頭に位置するIピクチャのPTSに基づいて当該Iピクチャの記録媒体における位置を特定するアクセスポイントマップと、を備え、前記アクセスポイントマップは、前記第1および前記第2の映像ストリームをそれぞれ構成する映像情報ブロックのIピクチャのサイズ情報を含み、前記主映像を表すIピクチャが、同時に表示される前記副映像を表すIピクチャよりも前方に配される映像情報記録媒体を再生する映像情報再生装置において、
指定された表示開始時点から前記主映像に前記副映像を重畳して表示する場合、前記第1および第2の映像ストリームにおける、前記指定された表示開始時点に対応する前記映像ブロックのIピクチャの位置およびIピクチャのサイズ情報を、前記映像情報記録媒体に記録された前記アクセスポイントマップの情報に基づいて作成されるテーブルを参照して求める手段と、当該Iピクチャのサイズ情報に基づいて、Iピクチャを含むパケット数を読み込み、当該Iピクチャを復号化して他のPまたはBピクチャを復号化する手段と、を備えたことを特徴とする映像情報再生装置。 - 前記アクセスポイントマップにおいて、前記主映像を表すIピクチャのPTSと、当該主映像を表すIピクチャと同時に表示される副映像のIピクチャのPTSの値を同一の値とすることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の映像情報再生装置。
