Abstract
Description
Claims (20)
- ネットワークアクセスの制御を容易にするシステムであって、
パブリック発信IPアドレスに関連付けられた近似的な地理的位置を決定する検索コンポーネントであって、前記パブリック発信IPアドレスは、デュアルモードクライアントによってなされたデュアルモードサービスを求める要求に関連付けられている、検索コンポーネントと、
前記近似的な地理的位置を前記デュアルモードクライアントに関連付けられ保持された地理的位置と比較し、前記比較に少なくとも部分的に基づいて、デュアルモードサービスを使用可能にするかどうかを決定する比較コンポーネントとを含むことを特徴とするシステム。 - 前記検索コンポーネントは、前記パブリック発信IPアドレスに少なくとも部分的に基づいて、IPサービスプロバイダの所在地住所を決定するサービスを利用することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。
- デュアルモードサービスを求める前記要求は、DSLブロードバンドネットワークに関して行われることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。
- デュアルモードサービスを求める前記要求は、ケーブルブロードバンドネットワークに関して行われることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。
- デュアルモードサービスを求める前記要求は、WiMAXブロードバンドネットワークに関して行われることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。
- デュアルモードサービスを求める前記要求は、ブロードバンドネットワークに接続するために利用されることが望ましいアクセスポイントのMACアドレスに追加的に関連付けられ、前記比較コンポーネントは、前記MACアドレスを前記デュアルモードクライアントに割り当てられ保持されたMACと比較し、前記比較に少なくとも部分的に基づいて、デュアルモードサービスを使用可能にするかどうかを決定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記アクセスポイントは、ワイヤレスルータとワイヤレスリピータとのいずれか一方であることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のシステム。
- 前記要求は、ブロードバンドネットワークへのアクセスポイントに関連するWiFi信号を検出した前記デュアルモードクライアント上で開始されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記比較に少なくとも部分的に基づいて加入者に料金請求する、料金請求コンポーネントをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記料金請求コンポーネントは、前記デュアルモードクライアントがデュアルモードサービスを利用する権限を付与されている場合は第1の料金で料金請求し、前記デュアルモードクライアントがデュアルモードサービスを利用する権限を付与されていない場合は第2の料金で料金請求することを特徴とする請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 前記デュアルモードクライアントがデュアルモードサービスを利用する権限を付与されている地理的位置の更新を容易にするサービス更新コンポーネントをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記サービス更新コンポーネントは、権限付与された地理的位置を更新するオプションを加入者に提供する地理ユーザインターフェースを生成することを特徴とする請求項11に記載のシステム。
- 前記加入者が関連する権限付与された地理的位置を更新すると前記加入者に料金を課金する、料金請求コンポーネントをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項12に記載のシステム。
- ネットワークへのアクセスを制御するための方法であって、
マルチモードクライアントに関連するIPデータパケットを受信するステップであって、前記IPデータパケットは、IPサービスプロバイダに関連付けられたパブリック発信IPアドレスを含む、受信するステップと、
前記パブリック発信IPアドレスの利用を通して、前記マルチモードクライアントの近似的な地理的位置を決定するステップと、
前記決定された近似的な地理的位置を、前記マルチモードクライアントに割り当てられ権限付与された地理的位置と比較するステップと、
前記比較に少なくとも部分的に基づいて、前記マルチモードクライアントがデュアルモードサービスを利用することを可能にするかどうかを決定するステップとを含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記近似的な地理的位置と前記権限付与された地理的位置とが一致しない場合、デュアルモードサービスへのアクセスを阻止するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記近似的な地理的位置は、市の識別情報であることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記IPデータパケットは、DSLとケーブルルータとのいずれか一方によって受信されることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記比較によると前記マルチモードクライアントを利用している加入者に、料金請求するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記近似的な地理的位置と前記権限付与された地理的位置とが一致しない場合、地理的位置の権限付与を可能にするために、前記マルチモードクライアントを利用する加入者に追加的な支払いを要求するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。
- ネットワークへのアクセスの制御を容易にするシステムであって、
デュアルモードサービスを要求しているデュアルモードクライアントの近似的な地理的位置を、パブリック発信IPアドレスに少なくとも部分的に基づいて決定する手段と、
前記近似的な地理的位置と権限付与された地理的位置との比較に少なくとも部分的に基づいて、前記デュアルモードクライアントがデュアルモードサービスを利用することを許可するかどうかを決定する手段とを含むことを特徴とするシステム。
