Abstract
Description

上記のメタノール、ヘキサン、シリカコロイド二流体連続性粒子安定化ゲルなど特定の実施例は、現実の材料であり、実験室で調製された。しかし、これらの実験室で分かったことを拡張するために、二流体連続性粒子安定化ゲルを如何にして形成し、存在させることができるかを説明するコンピュータによる証明を以下に示す。

二流体連続性粒子安定化ゲルは、ある温度範囲及び様々な条件において巨視的な剛性及び微視的な流動性が実現されるように調整が可能である新規なジャンルの材料を表すものである。これらのゲルは、外部の溶媒による攻撃に対して強固であり、巨視的に剛性である場合、外力下でさえそれらの巨視的な剛性を無限に保持する。さらに、二流体連続性粒子安定化ゲルは、極めて融通性が大であり、可変性が大であり、光学的な特性、大きな熱伝導性、大きな界面面積及び調整可能な細孔サイズなど更なる巨視的な諸特性を示すことができる。

- 特定の温度範囲内で不混和性である第1流体及び第2流体と、
密接に接触した安定な粒子の連続層を含む安定化粒子層であって、前記粒子が第1流体と第2流体の間の連続界面に位置し、第1及び第2流体が相互に貫入するドメインである層と
を含む二流体連続性粒子安定化ゲル。 - 第1流体が疎水性であり、第2流体が親水性であるか、或いはその逆である、請求項1に記載の二流体連続性粒子安定化ゲル。
- 流体の一方がオイルである、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の二流体連続性粒子安定化ゲル。

混合を停止して、PW粒子を連続した流体−流体界面上で密接に接触させ、ゲル形成を促進するステップと
を含む二流体連続性粒子安定化ゲルの作製方法。 - ほぼ等容量の少なくとも2種の流体を含む溶液中、2種の流体が混和性となる温度範囲、混合ミセルが自発的に形成されるような条件下で、X、Y及びZがポリマー鎖であるXZ及びYZブロックコポリマーを含むほぼ等量の球状ミセルを一緒に混合するステップと、
続いて、温度を流体が不混和性である温度範囲内の温度に変え、スピノーダル分解を引き起こして2相領域を形成させ、それにより流体間の界面にブロックコポリマーを閉じ込めるステップと、
温度を維持し、Zポリマー鎖をそのガラス転移温度より上に保ち、XZ及びYZブロックコポリマーをミセルの反対側に移動させるステップと、
温度を変え、Zポリマー鎖にそのガラス転移温度を通過させ、分離したミセルブロックコポリマーを安定化し、その結果、逆の濡れ特性を有する半球を備えた粒子を創出するステップと
を含むヤヌスビーズの作製方法。 - 二流体連続性粒子安定化ゲルを調製するステップと、
第1流体及び第2流体の一方又は両方に溶解した物質で、二流体連続性粒子安定化ゲル中の粒子の実質的に半分をコートするステップと
を含むヤヌスビーズの作製方法。 - 第1流体と
第2流体と
粒子の連続層とを含み、
第1流体及び第2流体が特定の温度範囲内で不混和性であり、粒子の連続層が剛体フィルムを含み、第1流体と第2流体の間の連続界面に位置する二流体連続性粒子安定化ゲル。 - NNW粒子を、所定の温度範囲においては不混和性であるほぼ等容積の少なくとも2種の溶媒を含む溶液に、2種の溶媒が混和性となる第2の温度範囲で、溶解するステップと、
溶媒が不混和性である2相領域に温度を変え、相分離を引き起こし、それにより溶媒間の界面にNNW粒子を閉じ込めるステップと
を含むゲル作製の一般的方法。 - 混合により2種の溶媒の混合物中にNNW粒子を分散させ、それにより、NNW粒子全てを収容するのに必要とされるより大きな界面面積を有する二流体連続状態を創出するステップと、
混合を停止して、NNW粒子が連続した流体−流体界面で密接に接触し、ゲル形成を促進するステップと
を含む二流体連続性粒子安定化ゲル作製の一般的方法。 - 所定の温度範囲で不混和性であるほぼ等容量の少なくとも2種の溶媒を含む溶液中、2種の溶媒が混和性となる温度範囲、混合ミセルが自発的に形成されるような条件下で、X、Y及びZがポリマー鎖であるXZ及びYZブロックコポリマーを含むほぼ等量の球状ミセルを一緒に混合するステップと、
続いて、溶媒が不混和性である2相領域に温度を変え、スピノーダル分解を引き起こし、それにより溶媒間の界面にブロックコポリマーを閉じ込めるステップと、
温度を維持し、Zポリマー鎖をそのガラス転移温度より上に保ち、XZ及びYZブロックコポリマーをミセルの反対側に移動させるステップと、
