Claims (10)
- 電子光学装置において、
第1の色の光を放出するように作られている第1グループのLED(24)と、第2の色の光を放出するように作られている第2グループのLED(24)と、第3の色の光を放出するように作られている第3グループのLED(24)と、
前記LED(24)に光学的に連結され、前記第1、第2及び第3グループのLED(24)から放出された光の強度に比例する量S1、S2、及びS3をそれぞれ測定するように作られている1つ又は複数のセンサー(30)と、
前記1つ又は複数のセンサー(30)と、前記各グループのLED(24)とに連結されており、S1、S2、及びS3と、K1、K2、及びK3と、LCと、を受信し、
D1=LC−K1*S1、
D2=LC−K2*S2、及び
D3=LC−K3*S3、を求めるための電子回路(48)であって、
ここに、D1、D2、及びD3は、それぞれ前記第1、第2、及び第3グループのLED(24)の現在の駆動レベルを表し、LCは、前記LED(24)によって作られる全体輝度を定める指定された輝度信号(57)であり、K1、K2、及びK3は、それぞれ前記第1、第2、及び第3グループのLED(24)からの相対的な光出力(12)を定めるための色光度パラメータ(58)である、電子回路(48)と、を備えている装置。 - 前記第1、第2、及び第3グループのLCD(24)の組み合わせ光出力(14)を受け取るLCD(20)領域を更に備えている、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記LED(24)と前記LCD(20)領域との間に配置されている光学拡散器(18)を更に備えている、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 各グループの前記LED(24)は、直列に連結されている、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記1つ又は複数のセンサー(30)は、前記第1、第2、及び第3グループのLED(24)からの組み合わせられた光を受け取る第1、第2、及び第3センサー(30)を備えており、前記センサー(30)のそれぞれは、S1、S2、及びS3を生成するために、前記各センサーの上に、前記第1、第2、及び第3グループのLED(24)の内の1つからの光を選択する異なる色のフィルター(95)を有している、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記1つ又は複数のセンサー(30)は、S1を提供するために前記第1グループのLED(24)だけに連結されている第1センサー(30)と、S2を提供するために前記第2グループのLED(24)だけに連結されている第2センサー(30)と、S3を提供するために前記第3グループのLED(24)だけに連結されている第3センサー(30)と、を備えている、請求項1に記載の装置。
- バックライト付きディスプレイにおいて、
複数のLED(24)から光を作るように作られているバックライト(10)と、
前記バックライト(10)に光学的に連結されており、前記バックライト(10)によって作られる光を選択的に透過させ、又は阻止するようになっている透過型LCD(20)と、
前記バックライト(10)に光学的に連結されており、前記バックライト(10)によって作られる光を監視するように作られている1つ又は複数のセンサー(30)と、を備えているバックライト付きディスプレイ。 - iグループの異なる色のLED(24)と、前記LED(24)に光学的に連結され、フィードバックコントローラ(48)及び電流ドライバを通して前記LED(24)に電気的に連結されている1つ又は複数のセンサー(30)とを使って、輝度と色光度を変えることのできるバックライト付きディスプレイ(10)を操作するための方法において、
前記1つ又は複数のセンサー(30)から、各グループのLED(24)によって放出される光の強度に比例する値Siを取得する段階と、
Kiを、各グループのLED(24)用の色光度調整パラメータとして、各グループのLED(24)に対するKi*Siを求める段階と、
LCを全体の輝度を表すものとして、Ki*Siを、輝度指定信号(57)LCと比較する段階と、
LC−Ki*Si〜0となるように、電流ドライブを、各グループのLED(24)毎に調整する段階と、から成る方法。 - 電子光学装置において、
第1の色と強度の光を放出するように作られている第1グループのLED(24)と、第2の色と強度の光を放出するように作られている第2グループのLED(24)と、第3の色と強度の光を放出するように作られている第3グループのLED(24)と、
前記LED(24)に光学的に連結されており、前記第1、第2及び第3グループのLED(24)それぞれから放出された光の強度を感知し、それを示す強度信号(31)を供給するように作られている1つ又は複数のセンサー(30)と、
前記強度信号(31)、複数の色光度パラメータ(58)、及び指定された輝度信号(57)を受信するよう連結されており、それに応答して、前記第1、第2、及び第3グループのLED(24)の駆動電流の大きさを判定することのできるコントローラ(48)と、を備えている装置。 - それぞれが電流駆動信号を受信し、それに応答して、異なる色と強度の光を放出するように作られている複数のグループのLED(24)を使って、輝度と色光度を変えることのできるバックライト付きディスプレイ(10)を操作するための方法において、
各グループのLED(24)によって放出される光の強度に比例する値を求める段階と、
各グループのLED(24)毎に色光度調整パラメータを求める段階と、
前記強度値と前記色光度調整値を組み合わせてフィードバック値を得る段階と、
前記フィードバック値を、輝度指定信号と比較する段階と、
前記フィードバック値と前記輝度指定値の比較に基づいて、前記電流ドライブ信号を、各グループのLED(24)に対して調整する段階と、から成る方法。
