Claims (20)
- 患者に人工気道を確立するのに使用される機器であって、前記患者の肺へおよび肺から気体を進めるために前記患者の気管内に導入するためのチューブと、前記装置が使用されるときに膨張時に前記チューブと前記患者の前記気管との間に封止を提供するために前記チューブに配置された膨張可能シールと、を備え、前記シールは、それによって、前記機器の肺側部分および前記機器の口側部分を画成し、前記機器は、前記機器の前記口側部分から流体の除去を容易にする手段をさらに備える機器。
- 前記流体除去手段は、前記口側部分で前記チューブの壁に複数のポートを備え、各ポートはコンジット内に開口し、前記コンジットは、前記機器が使用されるときに前記患者の外部にあるように位置する開口部に流体連通し、前記開口部へ加えられた吸引が、流体を前記開口部から前記コンジットに沿って各ポート内に進ませるように配列される請求項1記載の機器。
- 前記ポートは、前記チューブのまわりに周方向に間隔をおかれる請求項2記載の機器。
- 前記ポートは、前記チューブに長手方向に間隔をおかれる請求項3記載の機器。
- 前記コンジットまたは各コンジットは、前記チューブの壁に一体的に形成される請求項2乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の機器。
- 単一のコンジットを経由して各ポートに流体連通する単一の開口部がある請求項3または4に記載の機器。
- 2つの開口部があり、第1の開口部は第1のコンジットを経由して第1のグループのポートに連通し、第2の開口部は第2のコンジットを経由して第2のグループのポートに連通する請求項3または4に記載の機器。
- 前記コンジットまたは各コンジットは、その内側表面に、摩擦を減少し、物質の接着を減少し、且つ、微生物の成長を減少するか抑制するように適合された物質を含む請求項2乃至7のいずれか1項に記載の機器。
- 前記物質は、パリレンおよびヒドロゲル誘導物質から選択される請求項8記載の機器。
- 前記コンジットまたは各コンジットに流体の流れ方向を限定するように配置された弁手段をさらに備える請求項2乃至9のいずれか1項に記載の機器。
- 各ポートは、組織の進入による閉塞を実質的に防止する手段を有する請求項2乃至10のいずれか1項に記載の機器。
- 前記閉塞防止手段は、各ポートに隣接する前記チューブ壁から1つまたはそれ以上の突起物を備える請求項11記載の機器。
- 前記チューブは、第1のゾーンおよび第2のゾーンを画成し、前記第1のゾーンの少なくとも一部は第1の外径を有し、前記第2のゾーンは第2の外径を有し、前記第1の外径は前記第2の外径よりも小さく、前記第1のゾーンは前記第2のゾーンに隣接し、前記第1および第2のゾーンは前記患者の気管に挿入されるように構成され、前記膨張可能なシールは、前記第1のゾーンの少なくとも一部にわたって延びるように前記チューブに取り付けられたカフを備える請求項1乃至12のいずれか1項に記載の機器。
- 前記カフは、前記第1の外径よりも小さな伸張しない直径を特徴とする請求項13記載の機器。
- 前記カフおよび/または前記チューブは、シリコーンを備える請求項13または14に記載の機器。
- 気管内チューブの形態である請求項1乃至15のいずれか1項に記載の機器。
- 気管切開チューブの形態である請求項1乃至15のいずれか1項に記載の機器。
- 患者に人工気道を提供する方法であって、請求項1乃至17のいずれか1項にしたがった機器を前記患者へ加えるステップを備える方法。
- 前記ポートおよびコンジットを経由して前記機器の前記口側から流体を除去するために前記機器の開口部へそのようなものを加えるステップをさらに含む請求項18記載の方法。
- 請求項7記載の機器で実行されるときには、1つの開口部/コンジット/ポートを経由して流体を前記機器内に進め且つ他方を経由して前記流体および連行物質を除去するステップをさらに含む請求項19記載の方法。
