  Hairdressing cosmetics are expected to have a strong setting power and a high curl retention rate, but in recent years, those that form a natural hairstyle and bring out a natural feeling are preferred. However, it has been difficult to satisfy these requirements.

  Hard-type hairdressing cosmetics that maintain a strong setting force can be obtained by blending silicones or ester oils with, for example, anionic or nonionic acrylic polymers or vinylpyrrolidone polymers. The feel becomes hard and it is difficult to obtain a natural texture (Patent Documents 1 and 2). Soft hairdressing cosmetics can be obtained by combining cationic vinylpyrrolidone and cellulose polymers with silicones and esters, but these have the problem of low setting power and low moisture resistance.   The present inventors paid attention to the use of sericin, which is a component of cocoon buds and has recently been used as a blending component for cosmetics, in hairdressing cosmetics.

It has already been proposed to use sericin as a hair repair agent by blending it into a hair cosmetic that is used after washing it away, such as a shampoo or conditioner (Patent Document 4). However, there has been no report so far on blending sericin into a hairdressing cosmetic for improving the setting power.

  In the hair styling cosmetic composition, sericin is selected from the group consisting of N-acyl-N-methyl-β-alanine salt, N-acyl-DL-alanine salt, N-acyl sarcosine salt, and polyoxyethylene alkyl ether acetate salt.   The molecular weight of sericin is preferably 5,000 to 400,000 in terms of average weight molecular weight, and more preferably 20,000 to 200,000. If the molecular weight of sericin is low, the intended effect of improving the moisture resistance of curl retention, which is the object of the invention, cannot be obtained sufficiently. If it is too high, the manufacturability and dispersibility are poor and the intended effect is difficult to obtain.

  0.001 to 5% by weight of sericin is blended in the hairdressing cosmetic composition of the present invention. If the amount of sericin is less than 0.001% by weight, the above-mentioned effect of the present invention cannot be obtained, and even if the amount exceeds 5% by weight, no significant difference is recognized in the effect, resulting in waste. The blending amount is more preferably 0.05 to 3% by weight.

  Sericin is preferably used after being solubilized with an anionic surfactant. By solubilizing, the effect of softening the hair and creating a natural texture is further improved. The anionic surfactant is not particularly limited and can be used as long as it is generally used in hair cosmetics. Preferred examples include N-acyl-N-methyl-β-alanine salt, N -Acyl-DL-alanine salt, N-acyl sarcosine salt, polyoxyethylene alkyl ether acetate, etc. are mentioned. In order to solubilize sericin with an anionic surfactant, for example, sericin and an anionic surfactant may be mixed, heated at about 95 ° C. for about 30 minutes, and then cooled.

  Since Comparative Example 2 did not contain sericin, it did not harden even when applied to the hair and dried, and the hair length L immediately after drying was usually 9 to 10 cm, which was 16 cm and did not show a set force.

3.
