Abstract
【解決手段】LED照明パッケージ300の例示的実施形態では、パッケージ300は、建物配線(building wiring)等の電力線により電力が供給される第1の通常電力モードで、通常の仕方で動作する。この動作モードでは、5つの列の50個すべてのLEDが発光され、通常の部屋のアンビエント照明を実現する。停電中に通常の電力が失われる場合、その電力ロスが検知され、パッケージ300は、電池(battery)により電力が供給される第2のモードで動作する。この補助電池モードでは、LED列のうちの1つのみが発光され、建物の占有者等が安全に出口に移動して建物から出ることができるように非常照明が与えられる。

Claims (20)
- 部屋のアンビエント照明および補助非常照明の両方を提供する統合されたLED照明パッケージであって、
交流電源から電力を供給され、通常の動作モードにおいてアンビエント照明を提供するLEDアレイと、
補助電源と、
前記交流電源からの電力が失われると、前記LEDアレイのうちの少なくとも複数のLEDに前記補助電源から電力を供給して、補助モードにおいて補助非常照明を提供する制御回路と
を備えることを特徴とするLED照明パッケージ。 - 前記LEDアレイのうちのLEDは、複数の列として配置され、
前記通常の動作モードでは前記複数の列のすべてが発光し、前記補助モードでは前記複数の列のうちの1または複数であるが前記複数の列のすべてよりは少ない数の列が発光することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のLED照明パッケージ。 - 前記LEDアレイのLEDは、前記通常の動作モードの間は最大電力レベルで動作し、前記補助モードの間は低減された電力レベルで動作することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のLED照明パッケージ。
- 前記制御回路は、パルス幅変調を用いて前記低減された電力レベルを制御することを特徴とする請求項3に記載のLED照明パッケージ。
- 前記補助電源は、電池を備え、
前記LED照明パッケージは、前記電池が使われていないときに、前記電池を実質的に完全に充電された状態に維持する充電回路をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のLED照明パッケージ。 - 前記補助電源は、電池を備え、
前記LED照明パッケージは、前記電池が使われた後に、前記電池を実質的に完全に充電された状態に再充電する充電回路をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のLED照明パッケージ。 - 必要に応じて補助照明を調節するためのスマート制御システムをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のLED照明パッケージ。
- 前記LED照明パッケージの近傍において部屋の照明を検出するためのセンサをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のLED照明パッケージ。
- 前記センサは、前記LED照明パッケージの近傍において検出された部屋の照明を示す出力信号を発生し、
前記出力信号は、前記制御回路により利用され、前記補助モードにおける光の出力レベルが調節されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のLED照明パッケージ。 - 人間の運動を検出する運動検出器をさらに備え、
前記制御回路は、前記運動の検出の後に、予め定めた時間の間、補助非常照明の提供を制御することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のLED照明パッケージ。 - 統合されたLED照明パッケージを用いて、部屋のアンビエント照明および補助非常照明の両方を提供する方法であって、
LEDアレイに交流電源から電力を供給して、通常の動作モードにおいてアンビエント照明を提供するステップと、
補助モードにおいて予備電源から予備電力を供給するステップと、
前記交流電源からの電力が失われると、前記LEDアレイのうちの少なくとも複数のLEDに前記予備電源から電力を選択的に供給して、前記補助モードにおいて補助非常照明を提供するために制御回路を用いるステップと
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記LEDアレイのLEDは、複数の列として配置され、
前記通常の動作モードでは前記複数の列のすべてが発光し、前記補助モードでは前記複数の列のうちの1または複数であるが前記複数の列のすべてよりは少ない数の列が発光することを特徴とする請求項11に記載の方法。 - 前記LEDアレイのLEDは、前記通常の動作モードの間は最大電力レベルで動作し、前記補助モードの間は低減された電力レベルで動作することを特徴とする請求項11に記載の方法。
- パルス幅変調を用いて前記低減された電力レベルを制御するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記予備電源は、電池を備え、
前記方法は、前記電池が使われていないときに、前記電池を実質的に完全に充電された状態に維持する充電回路を用いるステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項11に記載の方法。 - 前記予備電源は、電池を備え、
前記方法は、前記電池が使われた後に、前記電池を実質的に完全に充電された状態に再充電する充電回路を用いるステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項11に記載の方法。 - スマート制御システムを用いて、必要に応じて補助照明を調節するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記LED照明パッケージの近傍においてセンサを用いて部屋の照明を検出するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記LED照明パッケージの近傍においてセンサにより検出された部屋の照明を示す出力信号を発生するステップと、
前記出力信号を前記制御回路により利用して、前記補助モードにおける光の出力レベルを調節するステップと
をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項11に記載の方法。 - 人間の運動を運動検出器により検出ステップと、
前記運動の検出の後に、予め定めた時間の間、補助非常照明の提供を制御するステップと
をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項11に記載の方法。
