Abstract
【解決手段】固体インクスティック100に、複数個の符号要素224からなる被検知用符号化部220を設ける。スティック移送手段たる駆動部材例えばベルトによって、スティック100を送給路の挿通端から熔融端まで移送する。その送給路沿いには、符号化部220に反応して信号を発生させるセンサ228を1個又は複数個配置する。コントローラ234は、センサ228で発生した信号に基づきスティック100の適否等を判別し、その結果に応じ駆動部材を制御する。例えば、使用可能なスティック100なら送給路の熔融端に向かって移送され、使用できないスティック100はそれとは逆方向に移送されるように制御する。

Claims (4)
- 挿通端及び熔融端を有する送給路と、
被検知符号化部を有するインクスティックを送給路の挿通端と熔融端の間で1個又は複数個移送するインクスティック移送手段と、
送給路沿いに1個又は複数個配置され被検知符号化部に反応して信号を発生させるセンサと、
センサで発生した信号に応じインクスティック移送手段を制御することにより、送給路の熔融端に近づく第1の方向と当該熔融端から離れる第2の方向のうち何れかに、そのインクスティックを移送させるコントローラと、
を備える相変化インクイメージング装置用インク送給システム。 - 請求項1記載の相変化インクイメージング装置用インク送給システムであって、その相変化インクイメージング装置に適するインクスティックであることがセンサからの信号によって判明した場合に、コントローラが、そのインクスティックを上記第1の方向に移送させる相変化インクイメージング装置用インク送給システム。
- スティック装填装置の送給チャネルの熔融端に達する前にその送給チャネル内にある1個所又は複数個所の所定位置を通るよう、インクスティックを移送するインクスティック移送手段と、
そのインクスティックの外面上にあり且つ複数個の符号要素からなる被検知符号化部に反応して符号化パターン信号を発生させるよう、上記所定位置に配置されたセンサと、
センサにて発生した符号化パターン信号を受信及び復号することによって、そのインクスティックが本システムに伝えようとしているスティック種類別制御/属性情報を調べ、そしてその結果に基づきインクスティック移送手段の動作を制御するコントローラと、
を備える相変化インクイメージング装置用制御システム。 - 相変化インクイメージング装置のインク送給系におけるインクスティック送給方法であって、
上記インク送給系の挿通端にて送給路上にインクスティックを受け入れるステップと、
上記インク送給系の熔融端に近づく第1の方向へと送給路沿いにそのインクスティックを動かすステップと、
送給路に沿って挿通位置又はその下流若しくは上流に1個又は複数個配置されたセンサにてそのインクスティックの被検知符号化部との反応により符号化パターン信号を発生させるステップと、
符号化パターン信号を復号することによりスティック種類別制御情報を調べるステップと、
調べた結果に応じ、上記熔融端に近づく第1の方向及び当該熔融端から離れる第2の方向のうち何れかの方向へと、そのインクスティックを移送するステップと、
を有する方法。
