Abstract
【解決手段】エラストマーシールは、熱可塑性エラストマー又は樹脂を液体の状態で型に入れることによって製造される。そして、電気的外科装置の主な回路構成要素及び機構を有するハウジング部が、その型に入れられる。エラストマーが硬化すると、エラストマーシールがハウジング分割セクション内に構成要素及び機構をシールする。エラストマーシールは、電気的外科装置の遠位端に、電気的外科装置のノーズ領域に接続される種々の径の電極やブレードを受け入れるための、可撓性の第1の開口を備える。又、電気的外科装置のアクチュエータ領域には、流体や汚染物がアクチュエータ領域を介して電気的外科装置に入るのを防止するために、アクチュエータシールが設けられる。

Claims (14)
- 電気的外科装置のシールを製造する方法であって、
前記電気的外科装置を、アクチュエータ開口を備える細長いハウジングセクション内に配置する工程と、
液状の熱可塑性エラストマーを充填した型内に、前記ハウジングセクションを導入する工程と、
前記エラストマーを固化させて前記ハウジングと一体にさせ、該ハウジングセクション内に前記構成要素をシールする工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記アクチュエータ開口の周囲にエラストマーアクチュエータシールを形成する工程を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記アクチュエータシール内に2つのインサートをインサート成型してカットモード及び凝固モードを識別する工程を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。
- 縦長のハウジングの遠位端から突出する電極を有し、体組織を焼灼又はカットするための電流を前記電極に導入する式の電気的外科装置に、バイオ物質の侵入を禁止するためのエラストマーシールであって、
前記電気的外科装置に密着する輪郭を有する細長いボディ部分であって、遠位端に第1の開口を備えると共に、近位端に、前記電気的外科装置の前記ハウジングに前記エラストマーシールを被せるための第2の開口を備えるボディ部分と、 前記第1の開口の周囲を囲むリップ部分と、
を有することを特徴とするエラストマーシール。 - 前記エラストマーシールは、前記電気的外科装置の作動部材に適合する作動部材ポケットを備えることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のエラストマーシール。
- 前記エラストマーシールは、ショアーA型硬度計シリコンで製造されることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のエラストマーシール。
- 前記エラストマーシールは、熱可塑性エラストマーで製造されることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のエラストマーシール。
- 前記リップ部分は、前記ボディ部分よりも大きな弾性を有することを特徴とする請求項4に記載のエラストマーシール。
- 前記細長いボディ部分は、一様の厚みを有することを特徴とする請求項4に記載のエラストマーシール。
- 前記シールの前記遠位端のノーズ部分は、前記ボディ部分よりも大きな厚みを有することを特徴とする請求項4に記載のエラストマーシール。
- 前記ノーズ部分は、前記ボディ部分の内径よりも小さな内径を有することを特徴とする請求項10に記載のエラストマーシール。
- 前記リップ部分は、前記ノーズ部分の内径よりも小さな内径を有することを特徴とする請求項11に記載のエラストマーシール。
- スイッチ機構が配置され、アクチュエータ領域と、電極を挿入するように形成されたノーズ領域とを含み、前記スイッチ機構に電気的に接続された回路を収容する細長いハウジングと、
前記回路に電気的に接続され、前記ハウジングの近位端から延びる電気コードと、
計数機構を有し、前記電気コードの近位端に接続され、該電気コードを介して、前記回路に電流を供給するための電源に接続するように形成されたプラグコネクタであって、前記計数機構が、該プラグコネクタの前記電源との接続回数を計数するための構造を有するプラグコネクタと、
前記ハウジングと一体に形成され、前記ノーズ領域の周囲から延びるリップ部分を有するエラストマーシールと、
前記アクチュエータ領域の周囲に配置され、前記スイッチ機構と対応して動作可能なアクチュエータエラストマーシールと、
を有することを特徴とする電気的外科装置。 - 前記スイッチ機構は、静止コンタクトの静止コンタクト面と整列する可動コンタクト面を有する数なくとも1つの可動コンタクトを含み、前記可動コンタクト面は、前記アクチュエータシールが該可動コンタクト面及び前記静止コンタクト面の清浄化のために動作するときに、前記静止コンタクト面に沿って摺動することを特徴とする請求項13に記載の電気的外科装置。
