Abstract
【解決手段】本発明にかかるポインティングデバイス130の代表的な構成は、分散して配置した複数の磁力センサ134と、複数の磁力センサ134の出力に応じて磁力源の位置情報または移動情報を生成するポイント情報生成部138とを備えたことを特徴とする。

Description
本発明にかかるポインティングデバイス、携帯端末、およびこれらに用いられる携帯端末用ストラップの第1実施形態について説明する。図1は携帯端末の外観斜視図、図2はポインティングデバイスの構成を説明するブロック図、図3はストラップを説明する図、図4は使用態様を説明する図である。なお、以下の実施例に示す寸法、材料、その他具体的な数値などは、発明の理解を容易とするための例示に過ぎず、特に断る場合を除き、本発明を限定するものではない。
本発明にかかるポインティングデバイス、携帯端末の第2実施形態について説明する。図5は本実施形態にかかる携帯端末の外観斜視図、図6はポインティングデバイスの構成を説明するブロック図であって、上記第1実施形態と説明の重複する部分については同一の符号を付して説明を省略する。
上記第1および第2実施形態においては、携帯端末100、150の前面に磁力センサ134、156を設けるように説明した。しかし本発明はこれに限定するものではなく、背面に配置することでもよい。
Claims (7)
- 分散して配置した複数の磁力センサと、
前記複数の磁力センサの出力に応じて磁力源の位置情報または移動情報を生成するポイント情報生成部とを備えたことを特徴とするポインティングデバイス。 - 前記複数の磁力センサの磁力源を検出する範囲は部分的に重複しており、
前記ポイント情報生成部は、前記磁力源を検出した2以上の磁力センサの出力の検出強度の比率を用いて、前記複数の磁力センサの配置に対する前記磁力源の絶対的な位置情報を生成することを特徴とする請求項1記載のポインティングデバイス。 - 前記ポイント情報生成部は、前記磁力源を検出した2以上の磁力センサの順序を用いて移動情報を生成することを特徴とする請求項1記載のポインティングデバイス。
- 筐体の前面または背面に沿って分散して配置した複数の磁力センサと、
前記複数の磁力センサの出力に応じて磁力源の位置情報または移動情報を生成するポイント情報生成部と、
アプリケーションの動作画面を表示する表示部とを備えたことを特徴とする携帯端末。 - 前記複数の磁力センサは、複数のキーが配列された主操作部の内側に配置したことを特徴とする請求項4記載の携帯端末。
- 分散して配置された複数の磁力センサの出力に応じて、磁力源の位置情報または移動情報を生成することを特徴とするポイント情報生成方法。
- 携帯端末を吊り下げるためのストラップ部と、
前記ストラップ部を携帯端末に連結するための環状の連結部と、
前記ストラップ部に設けられた磁力源としての磁石とを備えたことを特徴とする携帯端末用ストラップ。
