Abstract
【解決手段】分離装置は、せん断領域を含んだ給水チャネルと、供給流体の方向に直交して伸長した透過水通路22(複数の通路)と、前記給水チャネルの前記せん断領域と、前記透過水通路(複数の通路)との間に位置決めされた多孔質媒体とを備える。分離方法は、供給流体中にせん断層を発生させることと、透過水を透過水通路内へ通過させることとから成る。

Description
図3及び図4に図示したクロスフロー装置30及び該クロスフロー装置30を組み込んだ前記試験組織構成を使用して約52.8℃(華氏127度)の原料スキムミルクを濾過した。7×105逆秒のせん断速度を発生する間隙44に沿った目標圧力降下PGは20psiであった。
Claims (10)
- 軸及び当該軸の周りにらせん状に巻かれると共に供給側と浸透側とを有する多孔質媒体を含む、円筒状の分離パックと、
前記分離パック内で軸方向に延びると共に、らせん状に巻かれた多孔質媒体の前記供給側に沿って軸方向に延びるせん断領域を含む供給チャネルと、
前記供給チャネルのせん断領域に接続されていると共に、前記多孔質媒体の、せん断領域の反対の浸透側に沿って供給チャネルと垂直に延びている複数の透過水通路であって、前記多孔質媒体は、供給チャネルのせん断領域と前記透過水通路との間に位置し、前記透過水通路は、分離パック内で互いに隔てられている複数の透過水通路と、
一方の端部で前記給水チャネルと通じている給水注入口と、
もう一方の端部で前記給水チャネルと通じている濃縮出口と、
各々が1つの透過水通路に通じている複数の浸透出口と、
を備える分離装置。 - 周りに前記多孔質媒体がらせん状に巻かれる中心の支持体を更に備える請求項1に記載の分離装置。
- 前記複数の透過水通路は、複数の浸透出口を通して、前記中心の支持体と通じている請求項2に記載の分離装置。
- 前記分離パックを囲うシェルを更に備える請求項1〜3の何れか一項に記載の分離装置。
- 前記複数の透過水通路は、前記シェルを貫通している請求項4に記載の分離装置。
- 分離パックは、更に給水チャネル内にスペーサ層を含む請求項1〜5の何れか一項に記載の分離装置。
- 供給流体中にせん断層を発生させる工程と、
透過水を前記せん断層から第1の透過水通路内へ通過させると共に、前記せん断層から前記第1の透過水通路から隔離された第2透過水通路内へ通過させる工程と、
から成る、分離方法。 - 前記第1及び第2の透過水通路内の透過水流/圧力を互いから独立して制御する工程を更に含む請求項7に記載の分離方法。
- 前記第1及び第2の透過水通路のうちの一つの先端部から後端部までのTMPに、10psi以下の差を与える請求項7又は8に記載の分離方法。
- 前記第1及び第2の透過水通路のうちの一つの先端部から後端部までのTMPに、1psi以下の差を与える請求項7又は8に記載の分離方法。
