Abstract
【解決手段】ブラックマトリクス12とサブ画素R,G,Bと共通電極14とを有するカラーフィルタ基板と、画素電極を有するアレイ基板と、パネル表面に接触物が接触した場合に、ブラックマトリクスを流れる電流値を複数箇所で測定する電流測定手段と、測定された前記電流値の大きさに基づいて、前記接触物の接触位置の位置座標を計算する位置座標計算手段とを備えたタッチパネル装置であって、ブラックマトリクス12と共通電極14とを絶縁膜40あるいはサブ画素R,G,Bにより絶縁した。このようにして、データラインDLやゲートラインGLのカップリングの影響をシールドし位置検出の精度を向上させる。

Description
図1は、この発明に係るタッチパネル装置の基本構成を示した図である。図1に示したように、タッチパネル装置は、画素マトリックスを有する液晶パネル1と、液晶パネル1のゲートラインGLを駆動するための駆動回路であるゲートドライバ2と、液晶パネル1のデータラインDLを駆動するための駆動回路であるデータドライバ3と、ゲートドライバ2とデータドライバ3とを制御するためのタイミングコントローラ4とを備える。また、液晶パネル1のタッチ面上(表示エリア)に指やタッチペン等の接触物が接触したときに、それによって、静電容量型タッチパネル装置であれば静電容量が変化し、抵抗型タッチパネル装置であれば抵抗値が変化するので、それに基づく電流値の変化に基づいて、当該接触物のタッチ位置の位置座標を計算する信号処理回路5と、当該位置座標に対応する内容を内部メモリ等の記憶装置7から抽出し、それに基づいて、文字や画像を液晶パネル1に表示したり、あるいは、必要な処理を行って他の装置に信号を出力したりする制御回路6とを備える。
Claims (3)
- ブラックマトリクスとサブ画素と共通電極とを有するカラーフィルタ基板と、
画素電極を有するアレイ基板と、
前記カラーフィルタ基板と前記アレイ基板との間に設けられた液晶と、
前記液晶を駆動させるための駆動手段と、
パネル表面に接触物が接触した場合に、前記ブラックマトリクスを流れる電流値を複数箇所で測定する電流測定手段と、
測定された前記電流値の大きさに基づいて、前記接触物の接触位置の位置座標を計算する位置座標計算手段と
を備え、
前記ブラックマトリクスと前記共通電極とは絶縁されている
ことを特徴とするタッチパネル装置。 - 前記ブラックマトリクスと前記共通電極とは、絶縁膜を介在させることによって絶縁されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のタッチパネル装置。
- 前記ブラックマトリクスと前記共通電極とは、前記サブ画素を介在させることによって絶縁されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のタッチパネル装置。
