ここで、T[単位°K]は、時間tにおけるベクトル
によって定められたポイントにおける温度であり、K[単位W/(mK)]は材料の熱伝導率であり、Cは材料の容積熱容量であり、Q[単位W/m3]は光源が発する熱のパワー密度である。ベクトル
は計算を複雑にしないように選択された原点から延びている。

Claims (20)
- 磁気記録素子およびこの磁気記録素子に隣接して位置する光学的にアクティーブな材料を含むデータ記憶媒体と、
前記データ記憶媒体の一部に電界を加えるための電界ソースと、
前記データ記憶媒体に照射するための電磁放射線のソースと、
前記データ記憶媒体の前記部分に磁界を加えるための磁界ソースとを備えた装置。 - 前記データ記憶媒体は、別の磁界記録素子を備え、これら磁気記録素子の各々は磁気材料のドットを含み、
前記光学的にアクティーブな材料は、前記磁気材料のドットに隣接して位置する、請求項1記載の装置。 - 前記磁気記録素子は、
第1磁気材料の層と、
第2磁気材料の層とを備え、
前記第1磁気材料と前記第2磁気材料は異なるキューリー温度を有する、請求項1記載の装置。 - 温度上昇度当たり(per degree of temperature rise)のスイッチングフィールド減少量を最大にするように単一軸方向異方性定数、磁気飽和度および/または厚みを含む、前記第1および第2磁気材料の特性を調節する、請求項3記載の装置。
- 前記電界ソースは、
電極と、
前記電極とデータ記憶媒体との間に接続された電源とを備える、請求項1記載の装置。 - 前記光学的にアクティーブな材料は、
液晶、CdTeまたは酸化物を含む、請求項1記載の装置。 - 前記記憶媒体は、
軟磁性下部層と、
前記軟磁性下部層と前記磁気記録素子との間に位置する熱伝導性層とを含む、請求項1記載の装置。 - 磁気記録素子と、この磁気記録素子に隣接する光学的にアクティーブな材料を含むデータ記憶媒体を設けるステップと、
前記データ記憶媒体の一部に電界を加えるステップと、
前記データ記憶媒体に照射するステップと、
前記データ記憶媒体の一部に磁界を加えるステップとを備える方法。 - 前記データ記憶媒体は、別の磁界記録素子を備え、これら磁気記録素子の各々は磁気材料のドットを含み、
前記光学的にアクティーブな材料は、前記磁気材料のドットに隣接して位置する、請求項8記載の方法。 - 前記磁気記録素子は、
第1磁気材料の層と、
第2磁気材料の層とを備え、

第1磁気材料の層と、
