Abstract
【解決手段】安全素子の一側に水平接続端子(a)を連結し、他側に垂直接続端子(b)を連結した部材(‘安全接続部材’)を、正極/分離膜/負極構造の電極組立体が電池ケースに密封された電池セルの電極端子に連結することで、前記安全接続部材によって電池セルの外部入出力端子を可変的に形成する二次電池を構成する。

Description
(i)前記安全接続部材の垂直接続端子(b)が電池セルの下方に向かうように、安全接続部材の水平接続端子(a)を電池セルの電極リード(A)に連結し、
(ii)前記安全接続部材が180度回転するように電極リード(A)を下方に折り曲げ、
(iii)パウチ型電池ケースのシーリング部を垂直に折り曲げて電極組立体収納部の外面に密着させ、
(iv)前記垂直接続端子(b)を上方に垂直に折り曲げて外部入出力端子を形成する構造である。

Claims (16)
- 安全素子の一側に水平接続端子(a)を連結し、他側に垂直接続端子(b)を連結した部材(‘安全接続部材’)を、正極/分離膜/負極構造の電極組立体が電池ケースに密封された電池セルの電極端子に連結することで、前記安全接続部材によって電池セルの外部入出力端子を可変的に形成することを特徴とする、二次電池。
- 前記安全接続部材の安全素子が、PTC素子、バイメタル及び熱フューズからなる群から選択される一つまたはそれ以上であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記安全接続部材の安全素子が、熱フューズであることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の二次電池。
- 前記安全接続部材の接続端子が、金属プレートであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記安全接続部材が、両側端部に接続端子が突出した安全素子の一側接続端子に、その垂直方向に金属プレートを連結した構造からなることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電池ケースが、樹脂層及び金属層を含むラミネートシートのパウチ型ケースであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電極組立体は、スタック型またはスタック/フォルディング型電極組立体であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電極組立体から突出した多数の電極タップを一つの電極リードに連結することで、電池セルの電極端子を形成することを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の二次電池。
- 前記安全接続部材が、電池セルの電極端子のうち一つの電極端子に連結されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記安全接続部材が、正極端子に連結されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電池セルの電極端子は、同一方向または互いに異なる方向に形成されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記安全接続部材の水平接続端子(a)を、電池セルの幅方向と平行になるように前記電池セルの電極端子に連結することで、垂直接続端子(b)が電池セルの高さ方向に突出することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電池セルが、パウチ型電池ケースの電池セルであり、
(i)前記安全接続部材の垂直接続端子(b)が電池セルの下方に向かうように、安全接続部材の水平接続端子(a)を電池セルの電極リード(A)に連結し、
(ii)前記安全接続部材が180度回転するように、電極リード(A)を下方に折り曲げ、
(iii)パウチ型電池ケースのシーリング部を垂直に折り曲げて電極組立体収納部の外面に密着させ、
(iv)前記垂直接続端子(b)を上方に垂直に折り曲げて外部入出力端子を形成することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池。 - 前記電池が、リチウム二次電池であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 請求項1乃至14の何れか一項に記載の二次電池を単位電池として含んでなる、高出力・大容量の中大型電池パック。
- 正極/分離膜/負極構造の電極組立体が電池ケースに密封された電池セルの電極端子に連結し、電池セルの外部入出力端子を形成する部材であり、安全素子の一側に水平接続端子(a)が連結され、他側に垂直接続端子(b)が連結される、安全接続部材。
