Abstract
【解決手段】ゲート線1とデータ線2とが互いに交差して画素領域が定義された液晶表示装置であって、画素領域の交差部近傍に設けられ、ゲート線1に接続されたゲート電極と、データ線2に接続されたドレイン電極7と、画素領域に形成された画素ITO電極に接続されたソース電極6とを有する薄膜トランジスタと、画素領域に設けられたコモン線3と、ゲート線1とコモン線3との間に設けられ、バックライト光を遮光する遮光手段40,41とを備えている。

Description
図3は、この発明の実施の形態1に係る液晶表示装置の構成を示した図である。図3において、1はゲート線、2はデータ線、3はコモン線、4は画素ITO電極、5は画素ITOコモン電極、6及び7はTFTを構成するソース電極及びドレイン電極、8は負荷容量、9Aおよび9Bはコンタクトホールである。なお、負荷容量8は、図3のハッチングを施した部分であり、すなわち、コモン線3とTFTのソース電極6の重なり部分と、コモン線3と画素ITO電極4の重なり部分とを合わせた部分(ただし、TFTのソース電極106部分を除く)である。
Claims (3)
- ゲート線とデータ線とが互いに交差して画素領域が定義される液晶表示装置であって、
前記画素領域の前記ゲート線と前記データ線との交差部近傍に設けられ、前記ゲート線に接続されたゲート電極と、前記データ線に接続されたドレイン電極と、前記画素領域に形成された画素ITO電極に接続されたソース電極とを有するトランジスタと、
前記画素領域に設けられたコモン線と、
前記ゲート線と前記コモン線との間に設けられ、バックライト光を遮光する遮光手段と
を備えたことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記遮光手段は、前記ドレイン電極および前記ソース電極と同一の材料により構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記遮光手段は、前記ゲート線と前記コモン線との間の隙間よりも大きい幅を有し、前記ゲート線および前記コモン線に重なるように配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の液晶表示装置。
