Abstract
Description
ラケル法(例えば、カール・マイヤー社製のマリワット(maliwatt)機を用いるラケル法)によって相互に連結させた3層から成る補強材を製造した。この場合、微細なテクスチャー加工したポリエステルフィラメント(167dtex)のメリヤスネット(knitted net)(8g/m2)を使用した。
比較例1に記載の方法と同様にして、3層、即ち、ガラスフィラメントとガラスヤーンのニットから成る中間層若しくは厚さ付与層(900g/m2)及びガラスマットから成る2つの外層若しくは補強層(450g/m2)から構成される補強材を製造した。
ラケル法(例えば、カール・マイヤー社製のマリワット機を用いるラケル法)によって相互に連結させた3層から成る本発明による補強材を製造した。この場合、微細なテクスチャー加工したポリエステルフィラメント(167dtex)のメリヤスネット(8g/m2)を使用した。
実施例1に記載の方法と同様にして、3層から成る補強材を製造した。この場合の中間層若しくは厚さ付与層は136tex のガラスヤーンのガラスフィラメント及びポリエチレンフィラメント(PE)(33tex のモノフィラメント)から成るニットである(ガラス:PE=136:33)。
実施例1に記載の方法に準拠して、以下の表1に示す3層から成る補強材3a〜3kを製造した。この場合の中間層若しくは厚さ付与層は、136tex のガラスヤーンのガラスフィラメント及びポリエチレンフィラメント(PE)(36tex のモノフィラメント)から成るニットである。全ての補強材におけるガラスとポリエチレンとの量比は、ガラス糸1に対してポリエチレンモノフィラメント3若しくは4である。また、補強材の全厚さは4〜5mmの範囲で変化する。厚さ付与層及び補強層の重量を以下の表1に示す。
実施例1及び比較例1による補強材の所定圧力下での厚さを比較した。本発明による補強材は、同一の圧力下において、約7%小さい圧縮性を示した。これらの補強材を異なる圧力下(真空下)において比較し、結果を以下の表2に示す。
複合材製ヘルメットを、所謂「真空法密閉金型系」を用いて製造した。即ち、金型内へ第1フィルムを置き、次いで実施例2による補強材とポリエステル樹脂を該第1フィルム上に置いた。次いで、実施例2による補強材上へ第2フィルムを置き、第1フィルムと第2フィルの縁部を密着させた後、金型と第1の箔との間及び第1フィルムと第2フィルムとの間を真空化した。
1)製造時間が短縮される。
2)重量が比較品(1508g/m2)に比べて軽い(1188g/m2)にも拘わらず、より強い複合材が得られる。即ち、補強材の重量は、比較品の場合(600g/m2)に比べて重い(900g/m2)。
3)原料が節約されて、より低コストの製品が得られる。
所謂「射出法密閉金型系」を用いて複合材を製造した。即ち、実施例2による補強材をヘルメット用密閉金型(キャビティ:3mm)内へ置き、金型を閉鎖した後、ポリエステル樹脂を加圧下で射出した。該樹脂を厚さ付与層を通して補強層内へ含浸させた後、該樹脂を硬化させることによって、ヘルメット形態の複合材を得た。
1)製造時間が短縮される。
2)重量が比較品(1508g/m2)に比べて軽い(1188g/m2)にも拘わらず、より強い複合材が得られる。即ち、補強材の重量は、比較品の場合(600g/m2)に比べて重い(900g/m2)。
3)原料が節約されて、より低コストの製品が得られる。
Claims (15)
- 複合材中の強化材として使用するのに適した補強材であって、少なくとも1種のモノフィラメントを含有するガラス繊維のニット形態状の少なくとも1つの単一の厚さ付与層及び該厚さ付与層に連接する少なくとも1つの単一の補強層を具有する該補強材。
- モノフィラメントがポリエチレン、ポリエステル、ポリプロピレン、ポリアミド、合成材料及びこれらの任意の混合材料から成る群から選択されるモノフィラメントである請求項1記載の補強材。
- 単一の厚さ付与層が0.5mm〜20mmの厚さを有する請求項1又は2記載に補強材。
- 単一の厚さ付与層が1〜10mmの厚さを有する請求項1から3いずれかに記載の補強材。
- 単一の厚さ付与層が25〜1500g/m2の重量を有する請求項1から4いずれかに記載の補強材。
- 単一の厚さ付与層が50〜1000g/m2の重量を有する請求項1から5いずれかに記載の補強材。
- 単一の補強層がガラス繊維、アラミド、カーボン、玄武岩、セラミック、ツインテックス、ガラスと熱可塑性樹脂との混合物、アマ、天然繊維、及びこれらの任意の混合物から成る群から選択される請求項1から6いずれかに記載の補強材。
- 単一の補強層が不織布、織布又は膜である請求項1から7いずれかに記載の補強材。
- 単一の厚さ付与層の単位体積当たりの重量が、単一の補強層の単位体積当たりの重量よりも軽い請求項1から8いずれかに記載の補強材。
- 単一の厚さ付与層と単一の補強層がニッティング法、縫製法、ニードルパンチ法及び/又はこれらの任意の併用法によって相互に連結される請求項1から9いずれかに記載の補強材。
- ガラス繊維と少なくとも1種のモノフィラメントとのニット形態状の1つの単一の厚さ付与層が少なくとも2つの単一の補強層の間に介在して該補強層に連結される請求項1から10いずれかに記載の補強材。
- 請求項1から11いずれかに記載の補強材を2又はそれよりも多く積み重ねた積層体を具有する補強ラミネート。
- 請求項1から11いずれかに記載の補強材又は請求項12記載の補強ラミネートを具有する複合材。
- 請求項1から11いずれかに記載の補強材又は請求項12記載の補強ラミネートを所望の形態に成形し、該補強材へ樹脂を含浸させ、次いで樹脂を硬化させることを含む複合材の製造方法。
- 複合材を製造するために、少なくとも1種のポリマー製モノフィラメントを含有するガラス繊維のニットを使用する方法。
