Abstract
Description

Claims (12)
- チャンバ(110)と、
前記チャンバとそれぞれ連通する第1の流体チャネル(120)及び第2の流体チャネル(122)と、
前記第1の流体チャネルに沿って延在する第1の半島(140)及び前記第2の流体チャネルに沿って延在する第2の半島(142)と、
前記第1の半島と前記チャンバとの間に延在する第1の側壁(150)、及び前記第2の半島と前記チャンバとの間に延在する第2の側壁(152)とを備え、
前記第1の側壁は前記チャンバに対して第1の角度(154)を成して方向付けられ、前記第2の側壁は前記チャンバに対して第2の角度(156)を成して方向付けられ、前記第2の角度は前記第1の角度とは異なることを特徴とする流体噴射装置(100)。 - 前記チャンバに形成される抵抗器(130)をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の流体噴射装置。
- 前記第1の側壁と前記第1の半島の一部とに沿った前記第1の流体チャネルの幅(W1)はほぼ一定であり、前記第2の側壁と前記第2の半島の一部とに沿った前記第2の流体チャネルの幅(W2)はほぼ一定であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の流体噴射装置。
- 前記第1の流体チャネルと前記第2の流体チャネルとを隔てる島(160)をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の流体噴射装置。
- 前記島は、前記第1の半島にほぼ沿って方向付けられる第1の側面(162)と、前記第2の半島にほぼ沿って方向付けられる第2の側面(164)とを有することを特徴とする請求項4に記載の流体噴射装置。
- 前記島は、前記第1の側壁にほぼ沿って方向付けられる第1の面取り角(166)と、前記第2の側壁にほぼ沿って方向付けられる第2の面取り角(168)とを有することを特徴とする請求項4に記載の流体噴射装置。
- 前記第1の流体チャネルと前記第2の流体チャネルとの組み合わされた最小幅は、およそ34ミクロンからおよそ42ミクロンの範囲内にあることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の流体噴射装置。
- 前記第1の流体チャネルと前記第2の流体チャネルとのそれぞれの最小長さは、およそ29ミクロンからおよそ31ミクロンの範囲内にあることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の流体噴射装置。
- 前記第1の半島と前記第2の半島とのそれぞれの長さはおよそ30ミクロンからおよそ52ミクロンの範囲内にあることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の流体噴射装置。
- 前記第1の側壁の前記第1の角度はおよそ43度からおよそ46度の範囲内にあり、前記第2の側壁の前記第2の角度はおよそ30度からおよそ34度の範囲内にあることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の流体噴射装置。
- 基板(40)と、
前記基板上に形成されるバリア層(60)と、
前記バリア層の上に延在するオリフィス層(70)とをさらに備え、
前記バリア層は、前記チャンバ、前記第1の流体チャネル、及び前記第2の流体チャネルを含み、前記オリフィス層は、前記チャンバと連通するオリフィス(74)を含み、
前記バリア層はおよそ12ミクロンからおよそ16ミクロンの範囲の厚さを有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の流体噴射装置。 - 最大で少なくともおよそ18kHzの周波数で、およそ10ngからおよそ16ngの範囲の重量をそれぞれ有する流体滴を噴射するように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の流体噴射装置。
