Abstract
【解決手段】正極と負極との間に分離膜が付着された電極組立体を含み、電極組立体のうち最外郭電極の外面に、前記電極組立体を構成する分離膜と同一の分離膜が付着されることを特徴とするリチウムイオンポリマー電池を構成する。

Description
活物質として用いられるマンガンスピネル系化合物とCo―Ni―Mn系化合物との混合物80〜90重量%、Super―P(導電剤)2〜7重量%及びPVdF(結合剤)2〜7重量%を、溶剤であるNMP(N―methyl―2―pyrrolidone)に添加して正極混合物スラリーを製造した後、アルミニウム集電体上にコーティング、乾燥及び圧着して正極を製造した。
電極組立体の最外郭に位置する負極の外面に分離膜を付着しない点を除けば、上記の実施例1と同一の方法で電池を製造した。
上記の実施例1及び比較例1で製造されたリチウムイオンポリマー電池をそれぞれ2kgのプラスチック板に付着した後、1mの高さでタブを底に向かせた状態で、タブ部位に発火が発生するまで落下させる実験を繰り返した。実験の結果、実施例1の電池では、50回の落下実験後に発火が発生したが、比較例1の電池では、平均10回以内の落下実験でタブ部位に発火が発生したことを確認できた。

Claims (8)
- 正極と負極との間に分離膜が付着された電極組立体を含むリチウムイオンポリマー電池であって、
電極組立体のうち最外郭電極の外面に、前記電極組立体を構成する分離膜と同一の分離膜が付着されることを特徴とする、電池。 - 前記分離膜が、最外郭電極の全体面のうち、その上端から30%以上の面積を塗布するように付着されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池。
- 前記分離膜が、電極タブ(または電極リード)と隣接した最外郭電極の上端面を部分的に塗布するように付着されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池。
- 前記分離膜が、一つの単位として、電極組立体の上端または下端を取り囲んだ状態で両面の最外郭電極に付着されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池。
- 前記分離膜が、一つの単位として、電極組立体の一側部を取り囲んだ状態で両面の最外郭電極に付着されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池。
- 前記最外郭電極が、負極であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池。
- 前記分離膜が、それにコーティングされた接着層を前記最外郭電極の外面に熱融着させて付着することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池。
- 前記コーティング層が、フッ素系高分子からなることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の電池。
