Abstract
【解決手段】記録デバイスであって、−磁気フィルムを支持する記録支持体(30)と;−非磁性材料からなる基部(80)と、この基部を被覆する磁気抵抗性多層(46)と、から構成された、マイクロスタイラス(12)と;−マイクロスタイラス(12)および支持体(30)の相対移動手段(14)と;−マイクロスタイラスの磁気抵抗性多層の抵抗変化を測定し得る読取手段(20)と;−磁気抵抗性多層(46)を通して磁気フィルム(35)内へと電流を循環させることによって、磁化方向を変更し得る書込手段(20)と;を具備し、読取手段と書込手段とが、同一部材(20)として構成されている。

Claims (7)
- 記録デバイスであって、
−所定の磁化方向を有した複数の磁化領域を備えてなる磁気フィルムを支持する記録支持体(30)と;
−非磁性材料からなる基部(80)と、この基部を被覆する磁気抵抗性多層(46)と、から構成された、少なくとも1つのマイクロスタイラス(12)と;
−前記少なくとも1つのマイクロスタイラス(12)および前記支持体(30)の相対移動手段(14)と;
−前記少なくとも1つのマイクロスタイラスの前記磁気抵抗性多層の抵抗変化を測定し得る読取手段(20)と;
−前記マイクロスタイラスの前記磁気抵抗性多層(46)を通して前記磁気フィルム(35)内へと電流を循環させることによって、前記磁気フィルムを加熱することができ、かつ、前記フィルム(35)のうちの前記スタイラスに対向配置された領域(37,39)の磁化方向を変更し得る書込手段(20)と;
を具備し、
前記読取手段と前記書込手段とが、同一のマイクロスタイラス(12)として構成されていることを特徴とする記録デバイス。 - 請求項1記載の記録デバイスにおいて、
前記読取手段(20)が、前記磁気抵抗性多層(46)を通して前記磁気フィルム(35)内へと電流を循環させることによって、前記磁気抵抗性多層の抵抗変化を測定することを特徴とする記録デバイス。 - 請求項2記載の記録デバイスにおいて、
前記マイクロスタイラスが、書込に必要なただ1つのコンタクトブロック(48)を備えていることを特徴とする記録デバイス。 - 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の記録デバイスにおいて、
前記マイクロスタイラスが、前記非磁性基部(80)と前記磁気抵抗性多層(46)との間に、絶縁層(44)を備えていることを特徴とする記録デバイス。 - 請求項4記載の記録デバイスにおいて、
前記非磁性基部が、非磁性ピラミッド(42)の形態とされていることを特徴とする記録デバイス。 - 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の記録デバイスにおいて、
前記磁気抵抗性多層(46)が、スピン−バルブタイプからなることを特徴とする記録デバイス。 - 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の記録デバイスにおいて、
前記マイクロスタイラスの前記基部(80)が、ソフトな第1磁性材料からなる第1層(81)によって被覆され、
この第1層(81)が、絶縁性の第2層(85)によって被覆され、
この第2層(85)が、ソフトな第2磁性材料からなる第3層(82)によって被覆され、
この第3層(82)が、反強磁性タイプの第3磁性材料からなる最終層(83)によって被覆されていることを特徴とする記録デバイス。
