Abstract
【解決手段】可変テキスト・データの差光沢フォント・イメージ・セットを生成するための方法であって、該方法は、各フォント要素を2つのエリアにセグメント化すること、および2つのエリアのそれぞれに非等方性構造を組み込むことを含む方法が提供される。ここで、これら2つの非等方性構造は、主として互いに直交するように構成される。

Claims (4)
- 可変テキスト・データの差光沢フォント・イメージ・セットを生成するための方法であって、
フォント文字を選択すること、
前記選択したフォント文字をビットマップ化されたサブ−サンプル結果にラスタライズすること、
前記サブ−サンプル結果のアップ−スケーリングを行って希望されたフルサイズの、定義されたビット・パターンを中に有するビットマップ結果に戻すこと、
第1の非等方性光沢構造の配向を有する第1のハーフトーン・セルを選択すること、
第2の非等方性光沢構造の配向を有する第2のハーフトーン・セルを選択すること、
前記選択したフォント文字を取り囲むために適した背景フィールド・エリアを選択すること、
前記選択した第1のハーフトーン・セルおよび第2のハーフトーン・セルを、前記選択した背景フィールド・エリアに、前記選択した第1および第2のハーフトーン・セルを、前記希望されたフルサイズのビットマップ結果内の前記ビット・パターンによって指示されるとおりにトグルすることによって適用し、差光沢フォント文字イメージを作成すること、および、
前記作成した差光沢フォント文字イメージをシステム・フォントとしての使用のためにストアすること、
を含む方法。 - 前記選択したフォント文字を取り囲むために適した前記背景フィールド・エリアは矩形である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- さらに、完全な光沢フォント・セットを生成することを包含し、それにおいては、請求項20に列挙されている種々のステップが、それぞれの希望された派生フォント文字について、それぞれの希望された派生フォント・イメージが生成され、新しい完全な光沢フォント・セットに組み立てられるまで反復される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記新しい光沢フォントは、ドキュメント文字列および記号のレンダリングのためのDFEを用いてストアされる、請求項3に記載の方法。
