Abstract
【解決手段】本発明に係る発光素子は、一端が第1方向に延長されるスキャンラインS1、S2と連結された多数の第1カソード電極C1、C2と、一端が第2方向に延長されるスキャンラインS4、S5と連結された多数の第2カソード電極C4、C5と、一端は第1方向に延長されるスキャンラインS3aと連結され、他端は第2方向に延長されるスキャンラインS3bと連結された少なくとも一つ以上の第3カソード電極C3を含んでいる。

Description
パネル100は、多数の発光領域に形成される多数のピクセルE11〜E55を含んでおり、多数の発光領域は、多数のアノード電極層(以下、“アノードライン”という)A1〜A5と多数のカソード電極層(以下、“カソードライン”という)C1〜C5とが交差する領域に形成される。
ドライバー102は、制御部104、第1スキャン駆動部106、第2スキャン駆動部108、及びデータ駆動部110を含む。
尚、ここでは抵抗R11〜R55の影響によってピクセルE11〜E55の輝度が低くなる場合を詳述したが、場合によっては高くなることもある。
再び図1Cを参照すると、アノードライン(図1BのA1)上のピクセルE11及びE12の抵抗成分R11及びR12は、大きな差を有するので、ピクセルE11及びE12に同じデータ電流が印加された場合にも、抵抗R11及びR12の影響によってピクセルE11とE12の間に明暗の差が大きく発生する。
Claims (9)
- 多数のアノード電極及びカソード電極が交差する領域に形成された多数の発光部と、
上記多数のカソード電極のいずれかの一端に連結されて第1方向または第2方向に延長される多数のスキャンラインと、を含む発光素子であって、
上記多数のカソード電極は、
一端が上記第1方向に延長されるスキャンラインに連結された多数の第1カソード電極と、一端が上記第2方向に延長されるスキャンラインに連結された多数の第2カソード電極と、
一端は上記第1方向に延長されるスキャンラインに連結され、他端は上記第2方向に延長されるスキャンラインに連結された少なくとも一つ以上の第3カソード電極と、を含むことを特徴とする発光素子。 - 上記多数の第1カソード電極の少なくとも一部は互いに隣接して配置され、上記多数の第2カソード電極の少なくとも一部は互いに隣接して配置され、上記第3カソード電極は、互いに隣接して配置された上記第1カソード電極と上記第2カソード電極との間に配置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の発光素子。
- 上記第3カソード電極は、上記第1カソード電極と上記第2カソード電極との間に配置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の発光素子。
- 上記第3カソード電極に連結されたスキャンラインの抵抗値は、上記第1カソード電極及び第2カソード電極に連結されたスキャンラインの抵抗値よりも大きいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の発光素子。
- 上記第3カソード電極の線幅は、上記第1カソード電極及び第2カソード電極の線幅よりも狭いことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の発光素子。
- 上記発光素子は、
上記第1方向に延長されたスキャンラインによって上記カソード電極に電気的に連結される第1スキャン駆動部と、
上記第2方向に延長されたスキャンラインによって上記カソード電極に電気的に連結される第2スキャン駆動部と、
上記第1スキャン駆動部及び上記第2スキャン駆動部の動作を制御する制御部と、をさらに含み、
上記第3カソード電極は、上記第1方向に連結されたスキャンライン及び上記第2方向に連結されたスキャンラインを通して、上記第1スキャン駆動部及び上記第2スキャン駆動部の両方に電気的に連結されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の発光素子。 - 上記第3カソード電極の両端の電位は、実質的に同じであることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の発光素子。
- 上記第3カソード電極は、上記第1カソード電極と上記第2カソード電極との間にこれらと隣接して配置され、上記第3カソード電極上の発光部の輝度は、上記第1カソード電極上の対応する発光部の輝度と上記第2カソード電極上の対応する発光部の輝度との間の値を持つことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の発光素子。
- 上記発光素子は、有機電界発光素子であることを特徴とする請求項1から8のいずれか1項に記載の発光素子。
