【解決手段】排気行程がオーバラップしない気筒群毎に排気マニホールド23a,23bを分割し、これら排気マニホールド23a,23bの合流部25直上流にそれぞれ先細ノズル形状の流路部26a,26bを設け、各流路部26a,26bの先細ノズル形状の最小流路断面積Aを1気筒あたりの排気弁の最大開口面積Bの約25%に設定する。

Claims (6)
- 排気通路から吸気通路へ排気の一部を環流させる外部EGR装置、または吸気行程中に排気弁を開いて気筒に排気を逆流させる内部EGR装置、を備える多気筒エンジンにおいて、排気行程がオーバラップしない気筒群毎に排気マニホールドを分割し、これら排気マニホールドの合流部直上流にそれぞれ先細ノズル形状の流路部を設け、各流路部の先細ノズル形状の最小流路断面積Aを1気筒あたりの排気弁の最大開口面積Bの約25%に設定したことを特徴とする多気筒エンジン。
- 各排気マニホールドの合流部直下流にターボ過給機のタービンを接続したことを特徴とする請求項1の記載に係る多気筒エンジン。
- 各排気マニホールドの合流部直下流にディフューザ部を設けたことを特徴とする請求項1の記載に係る多気筒エンジン。
- 先細ノズル形状の流路部は、別体のスペーサに構成したことを特徴とする請求項1の記載に係る多気筒エンジン。
- ターボ過給機は、可変ノズル式ターボチャージャを用いたことを特徴とする請求項2の記載に係る多気筒エンジン。
- ディフューザ部は、別体のスペーサに構成したことを特徴とする請求項3の記載に係る多気筒エンジン。
