Abstract
【解決手段】生物処理槽22の槽内液のpHを高くすることで、糸状性細菌の増殖を選択的に抑制する。具体的には、活性汚泥により有機性排水を好気的に処理する生物処理槽22に水酸化ナトリウム等のアルカリを添加するアルカリ添加装置25等の糸状性細菌繁殖抑制手段を設ける。生物処理槽22内で、糸状性細菌が分散性細菌より優占する糸状性バルキング現象が発生した場合、アルカリ添加装置25から水酸化ナトリウムを添加する等して生物処理槽22の槽内液のpHを上げ、この状態を所定時間保持する糸状性細菌繁殖抑制工程を実施する。

Description
以下、実施例に基づき本発明をさらに詳しく説明する。実施例で用いる有機性廃水として、肉エキス、魚肉エキス、および液糖の混合物を用い、化学的酸素消費量で表される有機物(CODcr)濃度が1,000mg/Lの人工廃水を調製した。また、分散性細菌としては、厨房施設の生物処理槽内の活性汚泥を種菌とし、この種菌を培養したものを用いた。種菌は、ペプトン0.5質量%、酵母エキス0.2質量%、オリーブ油0.2質量%、およびリン酸二ナトリウム(Na2HPO4)0.2質量%を含む培地(初発pHを8.0としたもの)中で、25℃、48時間、フラスコ培養した。

比較例として、実施例と同じ条件の実験を行ない、実施例と同様に実験開始後10日目に糸状性細菌が優占化した後、生物処理槽22の処理条件を変更することなく、つまり、槽内液のpHを7.0とした運転を継続した実験を行なった。

Claims (6)
- 有機性廃水を生物処理槽に導入し活性汚泥法により処理する活性汚泥処理工程を含む生物処理方法であって、
前記活性汚泥処理工程において、前記生物処理槽で糸状性細菌が非糸状性細菌より優占した場合に該生物処理槽の槽内液のpHを通常運転時より高くした状態とする糸状性細菌繁殖抑制工程を実施する有機性廃水の生物処理方法。 - 前記糸状性細菌繁殖抑制工程において、前記槽内液のpHを9以上にする請求項1に記載の有機性廃水の生物処理方法。
- 前記糸状性細菌繁殖抑制工程において、前記槽内液のpHを通常運転時より1以上高くする請求項1または2に記載の有機性廃水の生物処理方法。
- 前記活性汚泥処理工程は、前記有機性廃水を第1生物処理槽に導入しBOD容積負荷1kg−BOD/m3/日以上の高負荷で好気的に処理する第1工程と、前記第1生物処理槽から流出する活性汚泥処理液を第2生物処理槽に導入し前記活性汚泥処理液に含まれる細菌を微小生物に捕食させる第2工程と、を有し、
前記第1工程の第1生物処理槽において糸状性細菌が増殖した場合に前記糸状性細菌繁殖抑制工程を行う請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の有機性廃水の生物処理方法。 - 前記糸状性細菌繁殖抑制工程において、前記槽内液を高くした状態とする時間を、前記槽内液の水理学的滞留時間の1以上10倍以下とする、請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の有機性廃水の生物処理方法。
- 有機物を含む有機性廃水が導入され好気的条件で前記有機物を活性汚泥法で処理する生物処理槽を備える有機性廃水の生物処理装置であって、
前記生物処理槽は、該生物処理槽において糸状性細菌が増殖した場合に該生物処理槽の槽内液を通常運転時より高くする糸状性細菌繁殖抑制手段を備える生物処理装置。
