Abstract
【解決手段】エルビウム添加光ファイバ5aと、波長0.98μmの励起光源8aと、波長多重合分波器9aとを備えた第1の回路と;エルビウム添加光ファイバ5bと、波長1.48μmの励起光源8bと、波長多重合分波器9bとを備えた第2の回路と;の2系統の回路を備えた光増幅器と成し、第1と第2の回路は、互いのエルビウム添加光ファイバ5a、5bを直列するように接続し、エルビウム添加光ファイバ5a、5bを通過する光通路に、波長多重される信号光の各波長に対応した損失量を与えて各波長光の利得を平坦化する光学フィルタ11を挿入する。

Claims (1)
- 1つのエルビウム添加光ファイバと、エルビウム添加光ファイバを励起する励起光を発振する励起光源と、励起光源からの励起光をエルビウム添加光ファイバに入射させる波長多重合分波器を備えた回路を2系統有し、波長多重された信号光を増幅する光増幅器であって、前記2系統の回路は直列接続され、直列接続されたエルビウム添加光ファイバ間を通る光通路に前記信号光の各波長に対応した損失量を備えた光学フィルタが挿入され、前段側の回路を波長0.98μmのレーザダイオードで励起し、後段側の回路は1.48μmのレーザダイオードで励起することによって、利得の波長依存性を平坦化することを特徴とする光増幅器。
